Renewal By Andersen

We had nine windows replaced throughout our house in a two-day job and are not only delighted with the product but are quite happy and relieved that the entire process - from initial visit to staining - was simple, straightforward and drama-free. Renewal knows windows and they know how to do their job. They arrived when they said they would, they installed without any complications, they finished up on time and they cleaned up after themselves. And our install was by no means easy because we had four very hard-to-reach awnings that required them to build and dismantle scaffolding on Day Two. Bruce, our salesperson, had recommended that we visit the showroom and that experience really nailed down the decision to use Renewal rather than another high-quality and similar price-point window company. He was also very willing to spend a lot of time with us as we changed our minds about what type of glazing, what kind of screens - we must have gone through all the possible permutations before settling on what we really wanted. It wasn't just a window job to us - we wanted something that fit the style and look of our house, took care of some air-flow and heat issues, but was still within a certain budget. Bruce was patient and very helpful and ALWAYS returned my phone calls promptly with answers to my questions. We were also very concerned about whether the old windows were sitting on bad or rotted wood. They were in such bad shape! Bruce was up-front about what happens in cases like that so we understood what the additional cost risk might be. Whew! That gave us a lot of confidence that we really weren't going to be facing any nasty surprises - financial or otherwise, and that Renewal wasn't going to be installing on bad boards which would cause problems down the road. During the install the crew found no problems with the boards and even showed us before flashing and installing so we could see for ourselves. The only negative was that the stainer they arranged for couldn't do the job for a week and a half following the install. One of the windows was over a kitchen sink and two others were in the master bath - so it was a bit nerve wracking making sure water didn't get on the raw wood (we finally covered the flat part with towels just to keep dirt, cat paw prints and liquids off the area). I'd recommend that the install crew either work with the stainer to arrange for the latter to get in there the next day or two OR if it's going to be longer then the crew should cover the flat portions of the window box and also the moulding. Other than that we have been very satisfied with the job and we LOVE the windows. It was worth it to use Renewal.

I would recommed them. They were very cooperative and easy to work with. Specifically, Tim Auge, was helpful, considerate and attentative to our needs.

Previously installed windows are not closing properly. They suggested pushing down harder. Must be a better window somewhere.

I believe they have a great product, the salesperson was very professional, and really didn't give me a lot of "you need to do it now" pressure. I had them bid their lower line Anderson 100 series plain white composite windows, and asked for the salesperson to give me ideas on where to keep the costs in line for the bid. Now I know I had 23 multiple window casements to replace, and I was doing a full replacement window rather than an insert however I was blown away at the price. I knew it wasn't going to be a inexpensive deal, but I was frankly shocked. By bidding with another contractor I was able to install triple pained vinyl windows for approximatley half the costs of renewal by Anderson. I'm sure the Anderson's would have been nicer, but not a double the cost of a triple pained vinyl window with a lifetime warranty.

They are great! They did extra stuff for our window without charge because it is in warranty. They are expensive but they are good windows and they stand behind their product.

The sales experience was very professional; didn't pressure us; gave us all the information we needed to compare to several other brands we were considering. We were able to go to their nearest showroom (Roseville) and view the windows and various colors. There happened to be a sale at the time (amounted to 20% off) which really tipped us to deciding on them for sure. They came out and measured when they said they would. The installation took about a day and a half as predicted. The crew left the house spotless - no dirt or debris or disruption anywhere. We were very happy with the whole process. The windows are fabulous. The look great; they seal terrifically and insulate much better than the ones we had. They function effortlessly and rotate out to 90 degrees so you can easily clean the inside and outside glass standing indoors.

Install was supposed to be in Dec 2011 or earlier, but several delays occurred. Installation was done in one day. Doors still function, however in late May we noticed cracks in the patio door frame and brown water spots. I contacted the service department and they sent a service technician the next day. He looked at the door from the inside for about five minutes, then looked outside for two minutes. Did NOT use a ladder to look at the roof and then said the damage is due to water seeping in from above the door and not due to anything done by Renewal By Andersen. I said, "How do you know? We had the roof and gutter inspected. It's not from that." He said it has nothing to do with the patio door. I said it can't be. He then just smiled rudely and said it's not the company's fault. I said it has to be. He said it wasn't and that he'd take photographs to show his supervisor. I said no way was he photographing my house. If the supervisor wants to come and look, he can come himself. I also said we were thinking of using this company for the rest of the windows in the home, but since they are running away from this problem without even suggesting any way to repair to it or offering to fix the doors THEY installed, we will not be using them in the future. Highly disappointed. Definitely do NOT recommend this company to anyone else. We will be going with another company for our window and patio door installation needs.

Bad. I called and requested to have a rep. sent out to determine if my non-Anderson windows were defective, faulty or needed insulation/sealing. I was put on hold, rather transfered unknowly to a call center who transfered me right back to the same place. Wow, what customer service. For a Minnesota Company, from a Minnesotan wanting to use Anderson Windows what a disappointment. I was told by my Stucco repair person before they start the work that my 3yr old windows need to be tended to. Thanks a lot, Anderson Windows.

We have worked with Ryan Tauer a few times and are always happy to give him service. His courtesy and professionalism always brings us back. Ryan was very helpful in recommending what type of window would work best for our house, but also design. Even late in the day we did not feel rushed. The day of the install happened to be the coldest of the winter to date, but the crew was very chipper and professional through it all. Very pleased some follow up questions to Ryan, as well. Highly recommend!

Crew very fast & knowledgable. Cleaned-up really well afterward. Also very punctual-they arrived when they said & worked until end of day. Windows are very nice. We had wood trim added to our front picture window-we were a little disappointed in the workmanship of the precut trim. We had paid to have all of our wood trim stained & the guy did a great job. The crew did crack our sheet rock next to the picture window-they did bring it to my husbands attention. We did feel that it would have been helpful to have ONE contact on the project. There were so many people calling in such a short time, that it got a bit overwhelming! Overall, we are very happy & would recommend them to others.

It was the best team of workers that I have ever encountered in my whole entire. Quick, efficient, clean, tidy. There wasn't a single problem, they were in and out. Did all the work in the dead of the winter. Laid tarps on the floor and they worked together quietly and efficiently.

I have used them previously. The work met my expectations. I would recommend them.

I worked with Justin and identified the designs we needed to replace the front entrance door and the door to the garage. Both doors were 9 years old and were original builder (low quality) doors that were showing significant signs of wear. We signed a contract at the end of September and Justin estimated the delivery by the end of November with an install date of early December. I hadn't heard anything from him by early December and called to determine the status of the doors. He responded that the doors took longer than expected to make and apologized for not providing me an update in a timely manner. Justin said it would be early January before the doors could be installed. The doors arrived and an install date was scheduled. The installers arrived on time and were very friendly. They did a very good job with the installation. Overall, I am pleased with the new doors as the appearance and functionality are superior to what I had before. I would use Renewal by Andersen again, but I wouldn't work with Justin due to his (lack of) communication.

I had most of my other windows replaced a year ago. This picture window was the last window to replace. It went very well. They were prompt and courteous. The product is excellent. I love my windows. They open and close easily. They are easy to clean. I don't get condensation anymore. Great product. There is one thing I don't understand about their pricing, which is why I gave them a "C" in that area. Last year I was told that because of the age of my house, I had to pay an extra $95.00 for each window to have a lead abatement specialist come in and specially stage the area, clean it up and dispose of the old window properly. And in fact, a person came in and spent a great deal of time and effort doing just that. This time I was told that a person would come out and do a test on my picture window to determine if there was lead. A gentleman came out, waved an instrument around a few surfaces of the window and pronounced it lead free. It took no more than 15 minutes. Yet I was charged $95.00 for that test-the same price as the very extensive lead abatement! I don't get it! It makes no sense why a 15 minute test would cost the same as special staging, clean up and disposal of a window ( I estimate that entire process took almost an hour for each window). That being said I would still use them and highly recommend their product.

They did a great job! When they first came after calling to set up a time to install, they came out and discovered they had wrong parts ordered for the job. They apologized and quickly got the new parts and set up a new appointment asap. They came on time both times and with the correct parts did a great job. It took a few hours, the windows and mechanisms are great, we can open on the windows to clean from the inside now. They shut securely and are much more secure and energy efficient than the old sashes and mechanisms. We love them!

The installation was efficient and the quality was very high. They cleaned up and the installation was very good. The cost was a little much but worth it for the windows.

Everything went well and as expected. One of our windows had a half moon associated with it and the install was difficult, leaving the inside window not looking "quite right". I thought it looked boxy. Renewal by Anderson was very responsive, sending out several people to get my thoughts and then a master carpenpter who created the look I was loking for. All on my time schedule and with out making me feel like I was a nusance. I knew the product was a good product and what has been most important to me was the after care, there were some little things that I wasnt happy with, but all was taken care of to my specification without a bump.

We had an excellent experience with Renewal by Anderson. We needed to replace our French Doors going to our deck. The sales person was very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. Delivery was expected in 6-8 weeks. We received a call in 4 weeks that it was ready for installation. The installer came at 9 am, set up all his equipment, worked efficiently, keep everything cleaned up as he worked, was ready for the inspector at 1:30. Everything passed inspection. All the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were installed. Not one bit of dirt, debri, sawdust, etc was left over and the installer left at 2:00. It is a good quality door that works like a charm and looks wonderful. We will be replacing our windows with Renewal, but probably one at a time since they are costly - but worth it.

I was asked to have all windows free of any coverings and at least 3 feet in front of each window and to the sides. I'm sure that sped things along for the installation. I had forgotten about one of the windows and they removed the blinds for me. They were respectful of all furnishings as well as my pets. I really can't praise them enough. The workmanship and product are top notch. I did get bids from 3 other companies including Pella. I'm satisfied that I got the best produce and service with Andersen.

They completed the job in four days. The work was done very well. They were efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. They are a little bit more expensive than others, but the quality is worth it. Everything went well and we were happy with them overall!

.We hired them to replace 7 windows. They said they would start at 8am and they were here 10 minutes early, despite road contruction blocking our streets around here. They laid out runners and blankets all over the floors and under the windows. They wasted no time and were finished in half a day. We LOVE the windows. My father-in-law worked at Anderson all his life and we knew about the quality before we started. They hauled away everything and cleaned up after themselves. Other than new windows, you wouldn't have known they had been there. The wood stainer came today and finished the woodwork around the windows. He was efficient, friendly and got the colors spot-on. All in all, a very good experience with this company. Highly recommended.

I liked that there was not a lot of pressure. They didn’t pressure us to make decision right away. I like the Anderson Company. They were very comparable to all of the people who had come out. The price was fair.

The sales representative came and measured the windows and gave us a price. A tech. came later to get a precise measurement and the windows were installed the day they were promised. The installer answered all our questions and demonstrated the operration of the windows for cleaning inside and out.

We liked the product. They were helpful in terms of staining the window, and helping us find somebody who can match the stain for us. They did come back for something to fix. They were plenty professional and prompt. I would use them again.
