My Water Softener was going through more salt than usual and was sticking during the regen cycle. I called Harry on Tuesday afternoon and he came over that night. Took a look at the system, told me the issues, game me a price, and fixed the problem. Also adjusted the amount of salt being used to better match what we were needing. Also spoke to me about my Water Filtration system, which I will have him back to work on. A+ workmanship and professionalism.

Harry saw our softener and tested our water and we ended up getting a quote for both the water filtration and the softener. Because it was going to be more expensive we have delayed doing anything as we are in the process of remodeling our bathroom also and need to spread out our costs. Hopefully we can move forward soon. We did get a quote from another company and liked Puretap better both for the level of service and because Harry was very honest and not pushy like the other guy.

Harry was great. He responded quickly to my initial message, came out on a weekend to test my water and give me an estimate and installed the new system and everything was done within one weeks time. He explained everything he needed to do and why, which I really appreciated. He even quickly solved the mystery of why my humidifier was not working, so that was a bonus. I'm very happy that I chose Harry's company. He takes pride in what he does and deserves all the great reviews that he gets.

Since I had him install my water purification system, he has been very conscientious about following up with service each summer. As I indicated, he is very friendly, courtious and wants you to be happy with his work. If I ever need my watersoften service I will have Harry help me with that. I recommend Harry very highly. He will service my units again this summer.

Harry checked everything out and was very thorough in his inspection. In addition he tested the hardness of our water to make sure that this was not the cause of the aforementioned problem. I have hired Harry before and have found his easy demeanor, careful work, and knowledge of his subject matter some of the reasons we enjoy working with him.

He was very prompt, professional, worked quickly and efficiently. Went over everything telling me what needs to be done. Seemed very genuine and fair, and left area totally clean. Would definitely recommend him to others.

We had a pressure issue with our water in the house more than a month. We got the well company coming out swap out a few things from the pressure tank but after the repair, water was still puffing when the softener was on. The well company thought the junk may have gotten into the softener while the tank was having a problem. We wanted to get Harry out to clean out the system. He came out in 45 min and went through every thing but didn't find anything bad from the softener. We concluded that it was the left over gas in the system and sure enough the problem stopped after running the water enough times. Harry was trying to really help us out trying to figure out the problem even calling his colleagues. He didn't charge us for this trip. After the service yesterday, I realized that I forgot to write a review about him last time when we used his service(We got this water softener from him a few years ago after finding so many great reviews about him) He is a type of person that I love the Angie's list for. People like him who are honest, who care others and do their best to his job should have more jobs. I was never disappointed when I hire someone from the Angie's list's super service award.

Harry was incredibly responsive (even on weekends) and was very knowledgeable on his products as well as his competitors offerings. We were originally looking at a Kinetico system but the Pure Tap system that was installed was equivalent at around two-thirds of the price. The install went great, he removed our old water softener (which it turned out was incorrectly installed), took it away and installed the new system (all for the originally quoted price - no surprises). Overall it went great, he did what he said he was going to do, was very professional while doing it and stuck to his bid. No complaints at all and I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend him in the future.

Harry is awesome. He's a great guy and does incredible work. The installation is a work of art. You can tell Harry enjoys what he does and takes price in his work product. Seriously, don't bother to call anyone else - this is your guy. It is very rare to find a service provider that takes such care and pride in his work. He came exactly when he said and did a great job. Explained everything to us thoroughly and made sure we knew we could call him if we ever had any questions.

I left a message and received a return call and visit within approximately four hours. Harry called to say he was running a few minutes late. He was here for about one hour to make the repair (we had the parts). Harry offered to do a small cosmetic repair which is a wonderful change (why didn't we think of it before?). Clean and efficient

The work was done in a timely, professional manner and the softener works great. Harry Runge, the owner and sole employee, is very personable and proficient. I highly recommend puretap for any water softening or water filtration issues.

Great! Harry was very punctual, personable and professional and we love both systems! From the time I called until everything was done in less than a week. The only reason I gave the price a B is because it was a little pricier than other systems we found. But knowing Harry stands behind his products and his great customer service, it was worth the extra money.

Our old water softener died awhile, and for a few months we dinked around with hard water while we tried to fix it. The whole time our dishes were getting coated with white gunk after going through the dishwasher and our heads were getting itchy from showering in hard water. Eventually we realized our 20-year-old softener just needed replacing. Harry was really good to work with. He called the city of Brooklyn Park (where we live) to find out our water hardness level, but the results were unclear, so he came out to our house on his own time to test the water directly to make sure we were getting a softener strong enough to handle our hardness level. We're glad he did, because the grains measured significantly higher than the the estimates he was receiving from the city. Based on that data he recommended a softener to us. It was a bit more expensive than we expected to pay, but the price included installation, which was something we did not have any interest in learning to do, and the quality of the unit is quite good. Harry was prompt, friendly, and kept in good communication regarding timelines, prices, etc. He showed us the machine and gave us a little education on how to use it. The new machine operates as needed instead of only recharging once a night, so it does a much better job of keeping the water softened. It's been a little over a month since it was installed, and the dishes are looking much better. I would definitely recommend Harry if you're looking for a water softener recommendation and installation.

We love Harry and are so glad that we decided to go with him for a new water softener. We live in an old home in St. Paul that did not have one already installed. He came and performed a REAL water analysis, unlike the dog-and-pony-show anaylsis that was performed by one of the big-name water softener and product vendors whom we had come out initially. The hardness of St. Paul's water is really not bad at all compared to some suburban areas, and Harry was very honest about that. There was no high pressure sales tactics, and he even suggested that I probably didn't even really need a water softener in my area. However, I know what our water was doing to my hair, (and the color) and I have lived with soft water in the past, so was very set on getting one installed. Harry had to be creative with the plumbing in our basement to make it work, but he did a great job. His price for the extra labor was very reasonable. I did a lot of research before hand on different types and brands of softeners, and Harry carries only a very high quality product and uses a Clack control head, which based on my research, is one of the very best. From my research, if something is going to go wrong with the unit, it is mostly likely to be the control head, so I was very pleased that he carries such a good quality product. He was also willing to match the warranty period on labor that I was quoted from another smaller, local outfit. The other smaller vendor was very helpful on the phone and I would have definitely gone with them, but then decided to get one more quote (had 3 total) and Harry's price was the best. Harry is very friendly and knowledgeable and took lots of time to educate us on hard and soft water and the product. When I emailed him a couple of months later with a follow up question, he got back to me within about 30 minutes, with a very detailed response, which was awesome! Couldn't have been more pleased!

Harry was fantastic - prompt, courteous, great product and knows what he is doing. I had scrounged around reading reviews and called quite a few different companies and I knew early on that Harry was the guy to go with based on his personality, expertise and product. Harry and Puretap is the perfect balance of price, high quality product, quality workmanship.

Harry at PureTap was a pleasure to work with. He came to our house quickly for a free estimate, then scheduled the installation for the following week. We decided to use Puretap because the pricing for plumbing was more than reasonable. We also felt confident with Harry because he has been in business for 15+ years. It is reassuring to know he will be available if anything happens down the road. The day of installation, Harry spent roughly 3hours at the house, reworking plumbing and installing the softener. Everything is working great! Overall, he knew his stuff and was friendly & professional.

Harry was punctual, clearly explained everything, very friendly and did the work in a timely manner. He installed the water softener as well as a reverse osmosis water filtration system. He has put us on a recall schedule to replace water filters.

The guy that came out was fabulous. He installed a very good water softener that I think he puts together it's not like from a box. He didn't sell me anything and he just gave me information. He was able to give me prices over the phone and they've done what I told them. He got back to me one day as when I called him and came out Tuesday and did it. He was neat and a very nice guy. It's his business and he does it all himself.

Harry was absolutely wonderful. He showed up promptly. He was down-to-earth, friendly, and professional. He did not try to sell, sell, sell. It was clear he had a lot of experience and comprehensive knowledge. He answered my questions thoroughly and offered information that I had not considered. My husband works overnights and is home during the day. Harry went out of his way to schedule the installation for a time my husband would be awake. It was very considerate and much appreciated. He was quick and very thorough in installing the new water softener and removing the old one. He even went so far as to clean up the area after he was finished. I could not be happier with him and his work.

After a phone conversation about my malfunctioning water softener, Harry came over to see the situation and discuss my options. I live in a condo. The softener is located in a difficult to reach spot in the laundry room. Harry had some creative ideas about how to proceed and was willing to take on the challenge. We set a date for the following week. I was unable to be home when Harry came, so I left a key for him. I left home in the morning and came home to a new softener. You wouldn't have known Harry had even been here. The next day, he followed up with a phone call to give specific directions about the functioning of the system. All is well! I have soft water and comfortable hair and skin again. My decision to use Harry was based solely on ratings and reviews on Angie's List. I was very pleased with the outcome.

As far as I'm concerned, Harry sets the standard in terms of excellent service. He is responsive, polite, and obviously very knowledgeable at what he does. Although I don't hire providers based on how much I like them (but rather how they do the job), he also seems like a genuinely nice guy and instills a feeling of trust right from the start. We just got the water softener and not a reverse osmosis system, but if we decide to add the latter at some point, I will definitely be giving Harry a call!

What a positive experience i received from Puretap. I can understand why he has won so many Super Service Awards from Angie's. He arrived at the time stated, explained what he was going to do and proceeded to efficiently install my water softener. He cleaned up the mess that was there, which was salt from an old conditioner that was spread on the basement floor. He also replaced a shutoff valve to the main water line which was completely not included in the bid. I really appreciated that he noticed and as a service replaced it. Not too many companies do that. He was pleasant and personable person which made his visit to my home easier. I definitely would use him again and would recommend him to any Angie's membes.

Needed a new water softener and some plumbing to route to the correct lines. Took four hours, start to finish. Even came back to redo a line when I changed my mind on cold water for the bathroom sink.
