+ -1 moreMy laptop was infected with a virus, but I didn't know it. At first Andre' tried to help me work through the problems I was having over the phone. When that didn't work, we set up a time for him to come out to correct some corruption in the operating system. He worked on the problem for quite some time, and discovered that it was a virus that had really wreaked havoc. Thanks to Avast! anti virus software (something that Andre' recommended on previous visits for other issues), more damage had not occurred. He took my laptop in to his shop to do more extensive work. He delivered my freshly restored laptop today, and I am very very happy! My laptop has been thoroughly cleaned, and the operating system is completely restored and updated. He also removed all evidence of Windows Vista, and now my laptop is fully Windows 7. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Andre' and Psinergy Techwarrior, we know that he will solve our computer problems, and at a very fair price.

He recommended a better FREE virus program and also cleaned the laptop and screen. Andre is excellent at teaching you about your computer and how best to use it. He does not get too technical but helps you improve your computer use.

+ -1 moreIt appeared that Andre went through the computer thoroughly and the computer has been working reliably since he left. He recommended that we run the new Defraggler program overnight since it would take several hours. That was good advice since it took about 12 hours to defrag the disk. He scheduled three hours for this work but finished in less time than that and had plenty of time to answer questions. We feel it was well worth the $119 price to have this work done. We feel we had a very good tech go through our computer. Andre instills confidence, and we are happy to know about Psinergy when we run into future problems. We called another company before deciding to go with Psinergy, and that company recommended that our computer was not worth putting money into since it is about ten years old. We appreciate that Andre was willing to work on our old computer and save us the cost of replacing it.
Description of Work: We bought the Angie's List big deal for On-Site Computer Support, Clean-up, and Tune-Up. We were having some trouble with our computer restarting frequently and were to the point where we could only run it in safe mode. Andre checked for viruses, updated the operating software, uninstalled our Norton and Malwarebytes programs, installed an anti-virus program called "Avast" and a "Defraggler" program that he recommended in place of the Windows defrag program, cleaned up the computer for unused and unnecessary programs, determined that everything was working correctly, and answered some miscellaneous questions that we had.

Then he showed us how to replace a failing part and reinstalled the screen so the camera works again in the laptop. This company is unique. It has a very fair charges and really knows what it is doing. If they find other problems they don't charge extra, Unlike some other companies I can think of. Very nice people and very competent.

I think it's very useful to have someone do this for you, who isn't also trying to sell you computer software at a retail store.

+ -1 moreOverall, it went pretty much same as above. Andre did a followup call when an icon disappeared in the notification area on our computer display screen. Andre was able to restore the icon and update the files pertaining to it remotely while on the phone with me and and just demonstrated all over again his professionalism and adherence to the services they said they would provide. Psinergy TechWarrior is now on my trusted list of resources as the one to go to for anything remotely related to our computer. They were excellent in all aspects.
Description of Work: Our computer has been sluggish, kept giving us messages that Windows had shut down and was in general not the responsive computer we had been used to. Andre of Psinergy TechWarrior came to our rescue as promised. He confirmed we were virus free and that that was not the problem. He did a complete check of our system and rather quickly diagnosed the problem(s), besides giving recommendations on how what we had was not working with our operating system and what would work better, in the same price range (in our case free, available, usable software) that did not conflict with the operation of our computer. The recommendations were followed by installation of comparable or better software products and discussions on where we might want to go in the near future regarding our computer and software. Talking with Andre, asking questions and getting answers was a delightful, positive experience and contributed to the overall success of his resolution to our problems. All problems were solved and advice taken to heart.

+ -1 moreAndre arrived on time and spent 3 hours working on my HP laptop. I had lost over 300GB of memory and could not figure out where it was being used. He found that problem in less than 5 minutes. There were so many small and large nagging problems that he was able to resolve, it was amazing to me. No question was too ridiculous, and I had many questions. He was courteous, prompt and very smart and efficient. I'm resolved to use Psinergy at least once, if not twice, a year. This was an Angie's Deal for $79 and it was a great deal.
Description of Work: Cleaned up an HP Pavilion laptop both internally and externally. Found and cleaned up problems on the hard drive. Answered all my questions, including my incredibly dumb ones. Was able to solve all of my computer problems, find lost programs and restore memory.

My only disappointment was that he did not respond to a follow-up e-mail from me re: the fact that I could no longer get pictures from my camera to the computer via cable after he was finished. This aside, I can certainly recommend Psyinergy.

+ -1 moreIt was wonderful. He arrived on time. (I had 3 people scheduled at the same time. He was the only one to arrive on time.) I asked him to follow through with all of his suggestions to increase my computer's speed. My computer is about three times as fast after his cleaning of the computer, It is much easier and faster to work on my computer. He also assisted with the printer/fax attached to my computer, which is also working better. I asked for several of his cards. I will have one taped to the monitor and others to provide to friends who may need assistance. I have had other computer people come to my house. He was the best computer person to ever work at my house.
Description of Work: He came in with the equipment he needed and went right to work. He ran my system in safe mode to see how it was functioning and then made suggestions to increase my computer speed. I asked him to follow through with all of his suggestions. He ran virus checks on my computer, installed updated editions of the software, cleaned the unit and answered my questions. He eliminated the virus remnants, and eliminated the duplicate software. I have scheduled lots of workers. This man was on time (!!), professional, and knowledgeable. He scheduled the service for 3 hours and took 3 hours. He really understood what needed to be done. My computer is now running faster, scheduled to maintain itself, and cleaner. He actually took the CPU apart and took it outside to get the dust out of the unit. While he was here, my daughter stopped by and he answered her computer questions too. She is out buying the recommended new power cord right now.

Although I didn't have much to fix in the way of viruses on my computer, all the tweaking and tuning up has made my computer run a lot faster and the downloads are done quicker as well. He was very knowledgable and was able to answer all the questions I had regarding my computer and programs. I believe I will be back to use their services in the future for my computer needs.
Description of Work: On-site computer clean-up and tune-up. Uninstalled programs not needed any longer, performed needed updates to the system and programs that I have on my computer, changed to a better anti-virus\anti-spam program, got my system set for better maintenance that I can perform periodically.
