I agree. Avoid this organization at all costs. My lawn looks like it was mowed by an idiosyncratic mower - there are patches of short and long and parts that are not mowed at all. I've never seen such a poor job. When you voice your concern, no one returns your message. That 1-800 number is a scam. You always get a voice mail directing you to the home page, even the web-site says 24/7 support is available at this number. Someone report this company to the Attorney General. Awful company.

You're much better off going directly through someone local. Plowz & Mowz is a big faceless middleman just skimming a percentage off of the people actually doing the work. If you want an ETA or have any questions/adjustments to the order, you have to go through tons of hoops, unhelpful virtual AI chatbots, submit all your info multiple times, and even then they won't put you in touch with the people actually doing the work. Definitely won't be using Plowz & Mowz again. On top of that, the contractors didn't do a good job. They just left without finishing and now I have no way of contacting them.

Used Plowz to schedule snow plowing and tried canceling 5 minutes after scheduling because my neghibor unexpectedly showed up with his plow truck. Was still charged when originally told us was a $10 fee for canceling.

Forgive the long post, but this is a pretty sordid and heinous story. Also I am writing this after repeatedly trying to resolve the issue through their phone and text helpline. After initially appearing to want to resolve the issue, since yesterday at noon they have stopped responding. I had worked with Plowz & Mowz before for snow removal. And they did an overall good job. This fall, I decided to try them for leaf removal. For important context, my front, side and back lawns are professionally landscaped with a focus on native plants. While the leaf removal was scheduled for Sunday, the crew did not show up until Monday morning. There was little to no communication about the delay. Frankly I wasn't too worried about that, knowing they are subcontracting and it's a busy season for leaf removal. The crew arrived Monday a little after 9am. I was on a conference call at the time. When my call was done, I went out to ask the crew if they wouldn't mind taking some raspberry brambles I had left by the fence that I had trimmed back that weekend. To my horror I discovered the crew had taken a weed wacker to more than 35 of my native grasses along with about 10 still flowering late blooming yarrow and some annual Verbana that had not yet gone to seed. I told the crew to stop and asked why they were doing what they were doing. They said I had ordered this service. I said I ordered "Yard Cleanup" which is described as removing leaves and smaller sticks and twigs. While I was understandably upset, I said "what's done is done, don't cut anything else." After some not great back and forth (including the crew saying, "we've been here for almost 30 minutes why didn't you come stop us before"), they cleaned up the mess they made and removed the leaves. As soon as the crew left, I called the Plowz & Mowz help line. The person on the phone was very sympathetic and said "they should not have been cutting anything." I sent them follow up pictures of the damage and they promised to get back to me shortly. A couple of hours later, they called me back and offered $50 off my next service. FYI, this service cost me $467. I was stunned and said that's totally unacceptable. They asked for more pictures which I sent and they said management would get back to me by noon the next day. I also sent a text saying at a minimum I expect a full refund. Someone who I expect is in management named "Billy" texted me a little before noon the next day saying they needed more time to investigate but would get back to me shortly. I have heard nothing more from them. I texted them earlier this afternoon letting them know if I didn't hear back, I would be escalating to Better Business Bureau and social media. So here I am. Accidents and miscommunication happen. And while I was pretty heartbroken about this, I do understand this is a temporary seasonal tragedy in that the grasses will come back next year. In the meantime, it has destroyed the fall/winter interest and destroyed habitat for winter critters (pollinators in particular). But I will never do business with Plowz and Mowz again and hope this serves as a warning to other folks, because clearly this is not a company that cares about their customers or the quality of the service they provide.

Worst service Ive used. Every week there is a new problem from broken gutters that have either been stepped on, mowed over, sections of lawn not cut, and a fertilizer job that applied streaks and designs over a small portion of my lawn that I was charged for. The Director Billy attempted to resolve and didnt follow through, Brett the customer service representative is absolutely awful. More photos available but limit the amount I can post Dont wish this service in your worst enemy. Stay far away

I wanted Plowz & Mowz to succeed. I gave them 3 years to prove themselves and they have been singularly consistent in one thing - incompetence. From missed mows (the usual go to excuse given for the last year has been “provider had an equipment issue”), to not responding for hours, to not raking my lawn for the leaves service I hired and paid them for, to plows not showing up, to missing scheduled day after day after day (yes, not scheduled time but scheduled DAYS) Plowz & Mowz has almost been a clinical demonstration on how incompetence can somehow against all odds still run a terrible business. Let me show you a review I had written for the lead removal I hired them for that I didn’t post to give you just a GLIMPSE into the train wreck that is Plowz & Mowz: “This is a total scam. They sat on my $200.00+ for leaf removal for 2.5 weeks. They claimed the job was assigned 6 times and then 6 times it was delayed. Meanwhile we went from fall to winter. We are now getting 12” of snow on top of the leaves in my yard and I STILL have not received my money back they took for the job though the job is cancelled. Contacting attorney general, department of commerce and the CFPB. UPDATE: they finally did have someone out and clean my leaves... 4 1/2 months after the date that I had hired them for. Literally 137 days late for their appointment. They gave me 30% off for my trouble” Every single thing I am saying can be backed up with email after email after email after email from them - always with an excuse. Tonight I finally got fed up and said “no more” and cancelled my (once again missed) mow, cancelled my weekly mowing service with them and am now taking to the internet as an evangelist against the rampant, nonsensical, dubious scam and ripoff that is Plowz & Mowz in the hopes that I can help someone much wiser than myself who actually reads reviews on these clowns to not waste their time, money and patience hiring them. I literally can’t think of ANYTHING that I can say that will even scratch the surface on just how bad of a company this is - from bad customer service to inconsistent results to just not caring one bit about the damaged clients, driveways and lawns that they leave in their wake. I guess the Better Business Bureau said it best when they REVOKED Plowz & Mowz accreditation. Please for the love of God, do yourself a favor and AVOID this company at all costs. Tear up your lawn and rip up your driveway if you must - I promise you, it is better than the horrible experience that Plowz & Mowz will put you through! Plowz & Mowz - simply put - does not value or respect its customers.

Plowz and Mowz is the "Uber" of yard care where they pay third party companies to do your yard work. I hired them to do fall leaf clean-up and was charged a little over $300 for the job and they said they would have it done in 2 days. The weather got bad soon after and so it wasn't done. Once the weather cleared up I contacted them again and they said it would be done that day. Another week went by and I contacted them again and they said the job somehow got cancelled. I had already paid them for the job. They then said they would refund the money or re-open the job. No contact for a week to let me know they cancelled the job. Very unreliable. Would not use again.

I've used Plowz twice in the last 2 weeks. The first time was not a very good experience, so I contacted the company to voice my disappointment and concerns with how the service was performed. This was via a "contact us" link on the website. Within 5 minutes, I got a phone call from the owner wanting to know more, and he showed genuine concern and wanted to know what he could do to make it right. I was so impressed with the speed and integrity that they showed, I decided to give them another try. Today, Saint Paul had a snow emergency, so I placed another service request around noon. In less than 2 hours, a provider showed up and did a fantastic job clearing my driveway as well as all the snow in the road in front of my driveway. He was done in less than 20 minutes and showed great care on my property. I'm really glad I gave them a second chance. I love the idea of not having to have a seasonal contract, and just ordering the services as needed. I also think the pricing for their services are fair, considering the conditions they have to work in. Thanks Plowz. Welcome to the Twin Cities!
Description of Work: Plowz is an "on-call" snow plowing service that performs professional residential snow removal on an "as needed" basis. No contracts are involved, and plowing can be scheduled by smartphone app for same day.
