Patio Door Guys

These two amazing guys came into my home and fixed a issues with a patio door that had been leaking for more than 10 years. We kept trying to fix the issues ourselves. The last time we tried fixing it we saw the wood rot under the patio door that was going out to our deck. We had 5 contractors bid. We hired Tom and he had Randy work with him. We were scared what he might find! Tom explained everything step by step. They worked tirelessly from 7:00-12:00p in the hot sun and humidity. They installed the new patio door and fixed the ledger board and other rotted wood. When he left it appeared as if he had never been there! He charged a fair price that blew his competition away. I was impressed with my new patio door and felt totally sure we had insured a safer deck! Thank you Tom and Randy you made a miserable situation go away.

My old storm door was falling apart. I called to get input on getting a new one installed and Tom was very helpful and knowledgeable. He recommended a specific company and model that he said he's had good feedback and that's what I chose. He was out a couple days later and did the install in about an hour and the door he recommended is the most solid storm door I've ever seen! A+++++ would for sure use them again for other work and for sure recommend this company.

The door is unable to be taken off. He tried so that he could trouble shoot the reason it is hard to open and close.

Tom and team did an excellent job. He was upfront and honest about price, he was very conscious about keeping the interior of the home clean while working, and pointed things out as he encountered them. Well-managed team of three showed up on time and replaced my rotting patio door with a beautiful new one in a few hours. Clearly experts in this--handled every challenge of my older (1969) house easily, explained everything that they did, and were respectful of my property/furnishings (and safely distanced from occupants). Cost was exactly the price they initially quoted--no hidden costs or upsells. Great experience; would definitely hire them for more work.

I hired The Patio Door Guys to install a new patio door for me ( a sliding door, 5 by 7 feet with sliding screen door). I had hired them previously to install a new front door, and I was so happy with it I had them come back to do the patio door. They came promptly and did an excellent job. It turned out my old patio door had been very unlevel, so they leveled the opening before putting in the new door. They put new siding around the new patio door on the outside, and put new trim on the inside around the door. The trim looks like a luxury to me, since the old door did not even have inside trim. The new door is an Alside brand door, and it is clearly very good quality. It slides nice and smooth and the lock works well. It takes up much more width than the "builder grade" door I had before, so I know it will have good insulation properties in the winter. It is designed to not collect so much dirt in the bottom track of the door. The screen door also has a lock. Everything was installed perfectly and they took the old door to dispose of it. The owner of the company was there on the job, supervising and working along with two other carpenters. The communication with me was very good before, during and after the installation. Tom even did some trim work and floor work in another area of my condo at no charge, just as an extra to help me out. Two other people in my condo complex have already asked about my new door, so I recommended The Patio Door Guys since I think they do such great work, and at a reasonable price. I would definitely hire them again for any patio door, outside door or window work in the future.

Tom and his team were very professional throughout the patio door installation process. Tom was responsive and prompt. His team did a good job of communicating with me during the installation and they cleaned up well after the door was installed. The team treated me respectfully and wanted to be sure I was a satisfied customer--I am!

Fantastic! Super conscientious. Always with an eye to quality workmanship and minimum disruption. Assessed the job, made invaluable suggestions and then did a great job with the installation and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Not only would I hire them again, I'm trying to now! Good people are hard to find.

Amazing. Came out and gave estimate with no pressure to buy and was knowledgeable of product. Answered questions about warranty and install. Work was schedulded and completed all as quoted. Will use them on other propertys.

They are excellent. I had two other bids and they were the best. I would recommend them to anybody else. They were on time, they worked really hard and they got it done in a timely manner. We're happy with the quality of the door they put in, and they cleaned up really well. They were nice to be around and they really were excellent people.

Tom has always been reasonably priced and has done quality work. His product is great quality and his installations are very professional. He is very punctual and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend him.

The door looks great and he gave me additional advise on how to be energy efficient with our home. I would hire again! We actually asked if there are other jobs he could do around our house! Will have have him back to put our deck rails in!

It takes about a month or so to receive your door because each one is made to your specific order and specifications. The door looks great! They protected the floors during work and cleaned up afterwards.

We just bought a 100 year old home, and we've been meeting with lots of contractors to fix, well, everything. That said, The Patio Door guys were one of the most pleasurable companies we worked with. We had a great experience thanks to their quality products and their competitive prices. Would definitely recommend!

Not only did he fix our weatherstripping, but said the company which had installed the door had put screws into the rollers or wheels on the slider door. He removed the screws and installed the correct size. This door is better now then the day it was installed!

Replacing the door was a challenge. The hose is old and the space was tight. The men from Alside did a wonderful job getting the old 8foot door out in a single piece and installing the new one. Initially they were going to have me finish the trim on the door. I questioned that and then Tom was going to charge me for the trim. It ended up with them finishing the door with the existing trim that had been removed from the old door. That had been my understanding of the original plan. there is one feature that is not working and Tom is ordering a new part for me to try and fix the problem. I did not rate quality because of this glitch. It was a key feature in selling the door.

We had Tom replace our patio sliding door to our deck. It was not a standard size door so some of the estimates we had gotten from Home Depot & the like were insanely high. Tom was able to get us a high quality Alside door (the only product I think he installs - they are warrantied for life) and install it for a much more reasonable price. He wrote out everything the price would include - taking care of any rot that might have been there when ripping out the old door, rebuilding the sill, etc. So we knew at the end of the day, that was our price. It was great not to have any surprises. The day of install, he showed up right on time (9am we agreed on) and got started. I work less than 10 minutes away and felt comfortable enough to let him work at the house alone. He called when he was done (shortly after 1:30pm) and had us come home to inspect before he left. Everything looked great and he had cleaned up really well. He left us with the warranty information for Alside, should we have any issues. We would definitely use Tom again - in fact, he is on our short list for replacing windows in our home this spring. We have been very happy with both Tom & the Alside products.

Tom was timely and courteous. The patio door installation was very well done, especially given the frigid temperature on the day of installation. The price was very fair and the quality of the replacement door is great! Tom even made a special trip back out to install an extra lock that was missing at the time of install.

It went great! The guys were very professional, quick and cleaned up great after the job was complete. I would recommend Tom and his crew to anyone searching for a new patio door (especially large ones like we had).
