This is the third vacuum I purchased at this location. When I first started using Oreck (approx 15-years ago) they were great products, and this location offered great customer service. This is no longer the situation; however, and I will never step into this store again. Over the past 10-years, the customer service (at this location anyway) has steadily gone downhill, and is now at a point worse than a low-level discount store. Here is an example: The last time I I brought in my vacuum to be tuned-up (a few weeks ago), I was told the roller also needed replaced (which they say almost every time I bring it in) and the bag needed cleaned/sanitized. I usually go along with what they say, to be proactive with maintenance, so agreed to everything. When I went to pick-up my vacuum about a week later, the lady working the store had to be called from the back room, and about 10-minutes later she came walking in through the back door staring at her phone and tossing a cigarette behind her. She offered no apology and proceeded to get my vacuum, which she brought out to me in worse condition than I dropped it off. The bag zipper was broken and there were straight-line cuts across the sides of the bag. She tried to call a manager (local and district) for about 15-minutes but could not reach anyone. So she proceeded to take a bag cover off a unit that was just traded-in and switch it with mine. I asked about the history of the bag and if it had been cleaned or checked at all, to which she said no. So, I ended-up leaving my vacuum for another week while the replacement bag was (supposedly) cleaned. When I went to get the vacuum this time, there was no one in the store again (both times I could have stolen who-knows-how-many things). I waited about 10-minutes, and the same lady came in through the back door just as she had done the previous time, reeking of cigarette smoke and offering no apologies to waiting customers. I was charged full price for everything (not that I want things for free, but some sort of token would have been nice after all this) and not offered any follow-up information. As soon as I got home, I started vacuuming my house, and -- to add insult to injury -- the vacuum ran worse than when I dropped it off. I'm wondering if my unit was mixed-up with someone else's from the beginning, but it doesn't really matter at this point, because I'm done with this shop.
Description of Work: Tune-up vacuum (that I purchased at this same store), replace roller, clean/sanitize bag.
