NORTH STAR BANK

I can't say enough great things about this bank. They provide the wide variety of banking services as do the big chain banks but far above personal, super efficient, super helpful, fair banking services. They do things other banks say they don't have time to do. They will call personally if there are any issues with my accounts - what other bank does that????? They have provided sound financial advice and never ever treat me like a stranger. They don't lecture or make me feel stupid if I make a mistake or am going through a hard time financially. Whenever I talk with them in person or on the phone, I always end my calls now with "I love my bank!!!"

I found their rates on the paper much lower than others, so I phoned and they actually have a lower rate compared to other banks. The entire process went very smoothly and I don't have to speak with anyone out of state. I also added a second mortgage with them and I had to re-finance that one after a few months for remodeling (I had to go to another bank due to state law limits). There was no penalty for only having the second mortgage with them for only a few months.
