Nick's Chimney Service & Duct Cleaning

Nick arrived on time and completed the cleaning and damper repair quickly. They left the home clean

Nick was very friendly, responsive and polite. He did all the work in one day. The steps are not completely level, but the foundation is heaving a bit, so I don't know if it could be level without replacing the entire stoop. This fall I noticed there was a chimney cap missing. I called Nick and he came out to replace it.

We received a call back less than 24 hours after initially making contact. I explained the issue and that I wasn't sure if we needed to have it swept or not. Nick said they would be able to tell (my understanding was no charge for the call out). They were very fast at scheduling and professional. After assessment we found out that it was indeed very dirty. Efficiently cleaned it now works like new. Wish I would have called them before. No sales gimmicks, no hidden fees...just simple, honest good work.e

This is the second year we have used Nick. They were professional, did a great job, and cleanup was excellent.

He was on time and very thorough. Took time to answer our questions and totally cleaned up when done sweeping the chimney. I will use him again!

Experience was wonderful. Called and left a message to schedule, had a quick response and when I was not available during the week, a weekend appointment was offered without having to request it. Showed up with a full team, explained the whole process, along with answering questions we had about how to proceed with a wood burning unit in the future. All workers were very friendly and enjoyable, and process went quickly. Removed shoes and laid protective materials down with out any request. Price was very fair for reviewing two chimneys and cleaning and sealing a crack in one. The bill featured a good explanation of what was done, and information was left for if we had future questions.

It went well. They were punctual, kind, clean, and worked quickly.

Nick was very professional. He was able to schedule an appointment the day after I called and was clear about what he would charge. During the inspection, he went out of his way to ensure I was informed about how our fireplace and chimney looked. I would definitely call Nick in the future for either cleaning or repair services.

Nick arrived with his two sons to help him. They were professional, polite and prompt. I was very impressed from start to finish.

I called, and heard back within two hours (several others returned calls the next day or later in the week). They came over on a Saturday (and had to hunt around to find my husband, who was working out back). The chimney inspection was thorough, as well as clean up. We did not feel any pressure for extra work (although we did decide to have them put a chimney cap on). The cap was installed. We are excited to use our chimney this winter with peace of mind.

It went well. However, we seem to be having an issue with airflow with may or may not have anything to do with the service. Also, would have liked the service provider to clean glass on fireplace doors. Doing a bit extra always impresses me.

Nick originally completed our chimney inspection prior to purchasing our home. Once we were in we called him back to complete some of the repairs he suggested. I told him we were on a budget, having just purchased a house, so he recommended doing only the repairs necessary to keep animals out and to the fireplace safe to use. Nick and his partner showed up on time and got straight to work. They were done before I knew it. Very clean and professional. They even replaced furniture they had moved before they left. Nick said that we could call any time if we had chimney questions and he would be happy to help. We will definitely call them again for the remainer of the maintenance.

The whole experience was very good. Our chimney cap had blown off and the chimney had not been cleaned in a few years so after checking Angie's List we contacted Nick's Chimney Service. Nick gave us an estimate for the chimney cleaning and it was evident that some additional brick replacement and tuck pointing needed to be done. Nick checked the chimney out and gave us an estimate. Nick completed the repair in a reasonable amount of time within the estimate. Nick appears to be a hard worker, very polite and efficient in his work. Nick also took before and after pictures of the areas of the chimney that needed additional work. It made it easier for us to see the work that had been done. We were very pleased with the work and with the overall experience. We will use Nick in the future for our chimney cleaning.

I was very happy with him. He was awesome. He was very thorough. He spent time explaining what other work might need to be done or what I needed to do to operate the fireplace safely. I was very happy with him. I though his price was very fair.

Called on a Friday and Nick was able to schedule me for the following day due to other jobs nearby. Nick and two others arrived on time and got right to work. They were fast and efficient but I always got the impression I was getting quality work. I just bought this house a few weeks ago and have never had a wood-burning fireplace. I let Nick know and he took the time to give my wife and I a lesson on how to safely light and burn a fire. Not rocket science - I know - but I'd prefer not to burn my new place down. Nick even left a pile of firestarters to get us going. None of this was necessary - but it showed Nick valued my business. Great experience. I'll use Nick again next time I need a sweep.

I called to schedule the service and was happy they were able to come out within a few days. They arrived on time and started work right away. It took less than an hour. When doing the cleaning, they noticed the cap on the chimney needed to be replaced and were able to do that at the same time. Nick was very informative and professional and just an all around nice guy. I would definitely use Nick's Chimney Service again in the future.

Nick was good to deal with during his site visit for the estimate and to talk with on the phone to review his proposal. After reviewing our proposal over the telephone with him, I told him that we wanted to proceed with him for the work and that he should get on his schedule and call me back to let me know when he could do the work. I did not hear back from him in a week so I called and left a voice message for him. Over the next four weeks, I left weekly voice messages on both his business and mobile phone numbers weekly and never received a reply. I ended up hiring a different contractor to repair our chimney. Still not sure what happened to Nick; I hope something bad did not happen to him. Very frustrating experience!

I called Nick and he answered promptly. We scheduled a time that was about 5-days out. He arrived on time and got to work straight away. Within 5-minutes he had the chimney inspected and a plan of attack worked out. They worked quickly and kept an extremely clean work area. After 40-minutes they had finished the chimney and patched the few areas that needed mortar. The mortar service was an extra $40, and was well worth the money considering their efficiency in completing the task. At the end, Nick gave a thourough summary of our set-up, things to watch when lighting fires, and assurance that he was available should we have any issues when lighting fires. Nick's Chimney Service exceeded my expectations and I look forward to having them back in future.

Overall both jobs were done exactly as we asked. Nick is great.

The chimney sweeping portion cost $125 with Angie's List discount. Nick offered to replace the furnace chimney cap (Nick said our furnace cap was not up to code, skim coat the concrete crown below the cap and repair some flashing around the chimney. The extra work cost $256.00. I felt the extra work cost was a bit high, but he was already on the roof, so..... Overall Nick was very professional

Overall experience was great. Chimney looks fantastic. Only concern is lack of follow up on 2nd bid.

Nick and his men were very professional and easy to talk to. They were friendly to me and my son. Nick went through how to use my fireplace, what each part does and what they were going to do to clean and inspect it. During the inspection a big crack in my chimney was discovered and missing cement in the fireplace. There was no pressure to get it done right away but we opted to have it done right away. The work was fast but thorough.
