Nick's Chimney Service & Duct Cleaning

This is the third year we have used Nick and everything went great. We have a two story home with a steep pitch wood shake roof and Nick is the only person we have used that will clean the chimney from the roof. He does the best job of anyone we have used before we found Nick. He makes sure there is no mess left after he finishes the cleaning job. We will use Nick again next year.

Nick was great. He showed up on time. He did all the necessary work quickly. There was no mess. He noticed a hole on the exterior of our chimney and repaired it. He also showed me pictures of the hole on the chimney and explained what was wrong and the risk of not fixing it. It was a very good experience and we plan to use him again in the future for chimney maintenance.

Nick answered the phone on a weekend and answered my questions about the process. I've never had a fireplace or chimney so maintenance was new to me. They came out quickly and did a nice job without making any mess of my house. They also informed me if some basic safety items I had to replace. Great service!

They arrived exactly to the minute, zipped through the chimney and I was so impressed that I asked them to do my dryer vent. clean efficient and knowledgeable.

They were very net and tidy in every thing they did. Plus they explaied to us each step they took and gave us the why's and wherefores of each step. It wsa over in less than an hour

He came when expected. Did a good job cleaning and inspecting our chimney. Had equipment and took care so no soot or ashes could get on our carpeting. Climbed up and inspected cap and seal around chimney on the roof. Found some cracks. Gave us an estimate for repair and also told us exactly what we would need if we chose to do the work ourself.

Nick did a fantastic job, cleaning from the roof down and did a much more thorough job then other cleaners that clean from the fireplace up. Great service!

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List. Their price was very competitive. Their responsiveness was excellent. They came in the same day setup, no rescheduling hassle. They were very professional.

As far as I know they did a good job (hard to tell for sure), but they arrived on time after we changed the time once or twice (once on my accord (power was out), once on theirs (vehicle issue). Found them pleasant and agreeable. Left me a sheet with some additional suggestions (re-point the bricks).....cleaned up after themselves.

Nick arrived on time and promptly got to work. He inspected the flue's (we have a double flue chimney) from the basement up and then from the roof. He informed us that the linings were in good shape as well as the cover and tuck pointing(??). We only had one flue cleaned as we are not sure we will use the other fireplace. Nick set up a vacuum in the fireplace he was cleaning and then went on the roof to "sweep" the flue. The fireplace was in our basement and not easily accessible. (we have serious water damage from the storm in June so basement is torn up). Nick was very careful around our belongings and when he left, you couldn't even tell he had been there - except that the chimney was cleaned and ready to go! We will absolutely have Nick back in the future.

Very nice job. We were contacted promptly; thorough explanation of what he would do. Arrived when scheduled, work completed promptly, area cleaned. Would definitely recommend to others.

He did a really good job. He was excellent. He came in and did the job professionally and quickly. They knew what they were doing. They were great guys. They did what they were supposed to do.

Very through work and also good tips for if/when additional work will be needed. He was running late but called to make sure that was going to work with our schedule.

They were pleasant and professional, and documented their findings with photos taken while on the roof.

He returned with the necessary tools and tried to fix what he originally pointed out, he broke the glass cover for the fireplace. He put it back together, trying to hide that it was broken, and left taking some parts with him. When we went to open it, it fell apart, but several parts were missing. I called and asked him about it and he told me he had no idea what happened, even though he had to have moved it during the process and it was very obviously broken. We actually had another chimney repairman who told us that Nick had broken some other parts, and told us that we can't use the chimney anymore because it is no longer safe.

It went very well. They arrived on time and they protected the floors so my home was as clean when they left as when they arrived. They thoroughly cleaned both the chimney and firebox and reassured me the chimney looked to be in great condition. They did notice a few spots in the firebox that needed to be resealed so, with my permission, they took care of that as well. They were very nice and I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They were very thorough and observant. They showed me a crack that I was unaware of and were able to fix it on the spot for a reasonable price.

Nick was extremely rude and unprofessional. He thinks text messages are a way to do business. We never gave him approval to do the work but he did it anyway when we asked about his availability. Then he demanded payment, we were very confused because we did not even know he had done any work. He then made threats to us personally and called our realtor and made threats to put a lean on the property trying to ruin the sale before even talking to us. He obviously does not know how the law works because you cant put a lean on a property without written approval to perform work. I would never suggest anyone use him.

I thought everything went really good. The work was good quality and he was very quick. He completed the estimate and was able to get us on the schedule within a couple of days.The estimate was right at $875, but the tax was not included. Everything was fine.

When it rain heavy there was loud bang in the chimney becuase of tiny holes on the top of chimney .Nick was able to identify the problem and came back second time to fix a custom plate on top to prevent the leaks.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They did what they said they were going to do. I did some more work with them after. He called to remind us that he was coming. He was on time. He was easy to work with. For the inspection, he actually got up on the roof, which was pretty steep. He identified a few things that were wrong and what we could do to fix them. We ended up having him come back and do some more work. It was a really good deal.
