Montgomery Electric responded promptly to our request for an estimate, came to the house the next day and then emailed us the information a couple of days later. They started the work quickly and finished as expected. There was some confusion over the electrical permit and inspection, but it was quickly resolved. Steve had a creative solution to our request to find a way for the pantry light to go off when the door was closed.

This job took about an hour, he evaluated the area and determined the best location to tap into the electrical system and went to work getting the job done quickly. He always asks about color of outlets and offers face plate variety as well.

I had a new ceiling fan installed by a friend of my family. However, after the installation was complete and was enjoying the idea of finally having it installed, it started to trip the circuit for my television and computer. I contacted Montgomery Electric (Scott Montgomery), told him I was an Angie's List member, and explained my problem because I was terrified that it would start an electrical fire. He had a technician (I believe his name was Justin) come out to service it. He quoted me a price of approximately $95.00 for the first hour. On November 8, Justin arrived on time, was very nice, courteous and professional. He took apart the fan, checked the wiring connections and reinstalled within an hour. When I went to write a check for the work performed, he told me that I would receive an invoice. (Wow!) Although it was a simple job, there isn't a price that you can put on the peace of mind that the installation was corrected. Scott is awesome and very nice - and yes - I got my 10% Angie's List discount for the job! In addition, although I never received the invoice in the mail, Scott contacted me about it. He was extremely nice and did not have an attitude about not being paid. He emailed the invoice (as I had requested) and now all is well. Montgomery Electric is a very nice company to do business with and I will definitely contact them again.

They have always done a great job. We have used them more than once. They are very responsive. They are very thorough. I think the pricing is very fair and competitive. He even came out on a holiday once.

Montgomery Eletric provided free estimates of all work within one to two days of request. All proposals were in writing. Once the proposals were accepted, work started within one to two days with all jobs being completed within one week or less. There was never any gaps between estimate and work started and done. They are extemely diligent in maintaining a clean working environment as well as care around my home furnishings. Excellent pre-assessment and working knowledge of what they would be doing resulted in timely and fast completion. He was always available to answer any questions. Extreme flexiblity to accept any questions for changes and excellent problem-solving to meet those changes. NONE of the work was delayed and there was never any re-work. Mongomery Electric repeatedly stated that their main job was to ensure safe, cost-effective installation and that I would be happy with the end result. Extemely fair and reasonable pricing for top of the line quality.

We were conducting a large remodel and so needed somebody who could get everything done for a fair price and accommodate all of my special requests. Scott was that person. He is very detail oriented and meticulous and always took the time to pose questions for me to consider. For example, he placed tape on the ceiling of all the rooms where the lights were going to go so I could get a sense of where they were and make any adjustments. Or, he suggested places that I would want a 3-way switch based on his experience - and now, after the fact, I'm glad I listened. He also brought other ideas to the table (in-counter disposal switch) which I appreciated, but was also willing to do things like under-cabinet outlets that I wanted. He was always very respectful of our home, cleaning up after himself and leaving everything in order. He is also very responsive by email and phone and very professional. Our remodel has not been the most pleasant experience, but working with Scott was great. I would certainly recommend him to my friends and will work with him in the future.

Great, as ususal. Scott tackles the jobs with much thought and does a very thorough job. He advises what he thinks would be options or solutions to our concerns or issues and we work together to get the best outcome. He works quietly and is diligent to ensure the job is done accurately.

Very positive customer service and result. - Explained all work and ensured that we understood exactly what each of us were going to do - Showed up on time, finished on time - Left our house clean and tidy - Layed out protection to ensure our carpeting was not soiled - Finished on agreed budget without any surprises - Integrity (read on to understand) I received two bids for relocation of the electrical service for the home, both were comprable in price. The thing that really stood out with Montgomery Electric was the willingness of the electrician (Scott) to work with us on getting the best value. We had to have a 25' trench dug as part of the effort and decided to do this ourselves for several reasons, part of which was the extensive sprinkler system in our yard that had to be dug around. Scott was very helpful in laying out exactly how we needed to work together. He clearly communicated everything that he was going to do and exactly what we needed to do and when we needed to have our part of the work accomplished. He came and pre-inspected everything to ensure we would not have any issues with the city inspector and took care of all the required permits and inspections. Once the schedule was agreed and the down payment was made, we dug the required trenching and on the agreed date, Scott arrived and began the full electrical renovation. He was very clear up front about what materials and hours were included in his bid and stuck with his prices. He even ran into an unexpected issue that ended up requiring a few extra hours of his time to resolve. I thought I might get pressured to pay a portion of the additional work, but the electrician explained that he should have accounted for the issue during the bid and would not charge me for his oversight. The service change out took three days as estimated. Each day, the electrician would lay out protective tarps to ensure that our carpet was not soiled. He also cleaned up the site each day before he left. Overall, a very positive experience. I would definately hire again.
