Monarch Landscaping

We needed our very uneven yard leveled and either seeded or sodded in time for a large party in July. I'd heard that some landscapers need 4 to 6 weeks just to start, but Monarch Landscaping promised to start within 2 weeks and then started within a week of contract signing. Israel (owner) explained that we'd get better and faster results with sod, so we went with that decision, and are glad we did. The work was completed in 5 days and would have been even faster if we had not had 2 days of heavy rain. I especially appreciated that Israel would call on rain days to make sure we knew that the could not work, even though I could tell that the ground was too wet. The lawn and new brick edging looks amazing! We've had many compliments from the neighbors. Monarch's bid for the work was $500 less than another bid, and they were very reasonable when we made a few changes after work was started. They also fixed a few things (extra fill in the front yard) that we hadn't noticed initially without an extra charge. Highly recommended!

I can't say enough good things about this company. Israel is extremely professional and the quality of work is excellent. He always kept me informed about the schedule, stayed connected, and made sure that I was totally happy with the final result. The owner truly cares about his work and he is on site regularly. The company offers a variety of services which is nice so I can get a lot done with one company. After we finished yard work for the season, I continued working with them for snow removal. He and his team are very courteous. Cost is very reasonable and, more importantly, I am very happy with the final product.

The finished product is wonderful. Israel was attentive to my concerns and responsive when I had questions/concerns. He was also helpful in offering suggestions to prevent drainage problems in the future. The retaining wall looks great and thus far we've had no issues/concerns with excess water (that was a problem in the past).

It's pretty sad because I was really happy with Isreal but I couldn't get a quote to save my life. I emailed them 3 times to remind them that I am waiting for a quote with no response. The beginning started out great but I can't move forward with anything because they won't send me a quote for services. I am moving in to this house in early November and needed this information a week ago to go forward with our house inspection but that didn't happen. If the "office" would've held up their end of the bargain I would be recommending their services but unfortunately it's hard to give a glowing review if you can't even get a quote over a week later.

We could not be happier with our experience with Monarch landscaping. Not only did the end product turn out excellent but we feel happy to give our business to such a hard working, respectable and genuine company. My husband and I first started calling landscaping companies mid summer, out of 12 calls out we received only 2 returned calls, both companies that returned our calls were completely booked however one of the companies recommended Israel.He had worked for them for many years and decided to break off on his own. My husband took this as a huge sign in regard to the charcter of Israel that his past employer would send their business his way. All I can say is there is a reason they did that and it has everything to do with the quality of his work as well as his character. He was very fair in his pricing ( considering we had one of the huge landscaping company quote us nearly 60,000 for the job including 3,000 for blueprints!) There is no doubt that we will be using Israel for any landscaping we do in the future and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I can confidently say I am completely blown away by the attention he paid to every aspect of the job, he went above and beyond what most companies would have done. While we were out of town Israel noticed that there was some discoloration on some of the engineered blocks (however i would have been none the wiser) but he went out of his called the block company to talk about the quality of the product that we were sold, he had the company come out and polish the blocks to remove any discoloration and yes at no cost to us! He just wanted to make sure the overall job was quality and I know we would not have gotten that degree of attention to detail from 99% of the other larger landscaping companies! So happy I cant say enough.

The Monarch team came on time for the estimate and were up front on costs. The project went very smoothly, took a few days longer due to heavy rain. After a week, I had a brand new yard that i enjoy alot. I would recommended Monarch landscaping for the next landscaping project.
