MacKenzie in the store spent time explaining the difference between the options for countertops (granite, quartz, or marble). She was patient with all our questions. She helped set up a time for us to view a few slabs at the Minnetonka store. We weren't as impressed with the person we worked with in Minnetonka. She showed us the slab, but asking questions felt like we were more of an inconvenience, and she couldn't tell us where the slab was quarried. We did go with the slab, only to have MacKenzie tell us later that night that we had been shown the wrong slab and the one we saw was on hold for someone else, and we might have to drive back out and look at another one. It all worked out in the end (the other person decided against the slab), but I wouldn't have gone with the Minnetonka location based on our experience. This is what the overall review dropped. Our installation was a breeze. Shy and Dan were fantastic. They removed our laminate countertops, added shims to ensure all counters rested level, sealed the slabs and cleaned up afterwards. The seam we needed to have has to be searched for. Shy took the time to explain granite care and offered to send more information if I needed it. I would not hesitate to go back to the Woodbury location!

Everything went well with the exception of the hole cut for the countertop range. It was cut a little big, but was quickly rectified. The sink was busted when the box was opened by the installers. Must have been broken in shipment and was not checked at the store before arranging installation. This delayed the finsihing of the project by two days.

The whole process was easy. We went into the Woodbury show room and were not pressured at all to hurry up and never did we feel like we were short on attention. We narrowed our choices down to two and the sales person happily ran an estimate on each. It took us a while to finalize the deal as we were working things out on our end but once we were ready to go there was a tiny hiccup. I was informed we needed to purchase the sink and faucet then call back with the info and they could get things started. Turns out I had to go into Woodbury to complete the contract and put the half down. It wasn't a huge deal but I thought we could do everything electronically at that point. Once the order was turned over to their cutting shop it was a matter of weeks. The measuring person really knew what he was doing and asked us things we hadn't considered. The installers were early (they called to make sure it was ok) and everything was put in beautifully then cleaned up as if they'd never been there. The counter looks GREAT!

Kaylie at Minnesota Tile helped us make a selection and sent us to the cutting shop to look at the slab for color and layout the cutting pattern. The installers got the granite in despite a tight fit.

Overall experience went very smoothly.

Rochelle, in the showroom, was fantastic to work with and answered all my questions. If she didn't have an answer, she researched and got back to me immediately. John, who scheduled the installation, also was very helpful in advising me. The measure went smoothly but I wasn't aware we needed to remove the existing countertop ourselves until it was mentioned at this time. The installer, however, did say he could probably do it as it should be easy. As it was extremely difficult to get the countertop off because a 5' mirror was sitting flush right above the vanity (and took more than an hour to do it), I'm happy we spent the time to remove it ourselves because, certainly, that additional hour wasn't planned into the installation cost. The installation also went smoothly and the countertop looks fantastic. Everyone was great to work with from start to finish. I've already referred my daughter for a bathroom she's remodeling.
