It has generally gone really well. It's nice to know that, at least monthly, our house is clean! They get the dog nose prints off the patio door, and clean and sanitize designated (most used) rooms in the house. We have them clean the master bedroom and bath, two additional baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, office and laundry. It's my favorite day to come home! I appreciate that they use green cleaning products - and bring their own vacuum and everything else they need. Our house doesn't smell like chemicals when they are done.

I resisted getting a cleaning service for about a decade. After hurting my back (cleaning my house out course) my husband finally convinced me to try one. After some web searching and phone calls I have Maid Brigade a try. And they've been amazing. You can add one-off services like cleaning your oven at any time. They did move out cleaning in our old home (full security deposit return!) And have an every other cleaning schedule per request for the second story of our new, larger home. They've been exceptionally responsive and a pleasure to work with. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Like some other reviews have stated, the service quality can vary from visit to visit. The staff changes frequently and each time, I have to explain my expectations and basically do my own walkthru to make sure that things are done right. There have been crews that I have been highly satisfied with but recently it's not been the case (cleaned surfaces still dirty, sometimes lack of communication from staff on their needs, etc.) Customer service is very responsive and helpful, but I think the constant staff churn makes it difficult to coach people even when instructions are provided to them. At this point, I am still trying to figure out whether to retain them for future cleaning or not.

Maid Brigade employees listen to me and are willing to change their methods and products without hesitation to meet my specifications They suggested a method to remove the stickiness off my kitchen's hardwood floor, the bathroom is always left spotless and the entire house is shiney and welcoming. They always call the day before to confirm the time of arrival and if your day falls on a holiday, they make arrangements to accommodate you. They are always prompt The employees are friendly and courteous and get right to work upon arrival. They make notes as to how I want things cleaned in case a different Brigade team were to come the next time I highly recommend them

Their quality was highly variable, sometimes performing a very thorough cleaning, but generally performing middle of the road service. We occasionally came home to small broken items (wood blinds which had a small crack were completely broken, or pull cords for ceiling fans were broken) or misplaced items (we have an infant, and the childproofing outlet covers would often be missing). These were generally small nuisances and given the occasional excellent service and price point, were never worth pursuing other than noting in their feedback cards (when noted, the behavior would temporarily improve - such as replacing outlet covers - but within a few sessions it would slip back). At their most recent cleaning, however, the team broke a window. This was not reported to us. The blinds were simply closed over the window. We did not have reason to open the blinds of that particular window until several days later, then we noticed the broken window and took pictures, which clearly show that the window was broken from the inside. We reported this to them, and they refused to admit responsibility. There were no other visitors to our house in the interim, and the window was not broken prior to their visit. Given the multiple small broken items throughout their course of service, we should have likely not been surprised by the fact that this incident was not reported to us, but it was still disappointing that they were so unprofessional. We will not be using their services in the future, and caution others to do so only if they are able to inspect and document the state of their home thoroughly before and after each visit to ensure there is no significant property damage!

We’re sorry to hear this but we genuinely don’t believe we caused any window damage. The customer reported that there were shards of glass on the floor which shows that it occurred after we had cleaned. And the glass pattern indicates that something likely struck the outside of the window. You can’t blame the cleaners for everything! Nonetheless, since the customer has been with us for 2 ½ years, we invited them to share their repair estimate with us to see if we could assist on a good faith basis.

I visited the Maid Brigade website and was interested in getting an estimate for a one-time house cleaning for someone who just had surgery. The front page of their website states they offer, "One-time and Regular Cleaning Service Available..." in the city I was inquiring about (Bloomington, MN) so I decided to fill out required form online. The link to the form for a free estimate, also on the front page of their site located to the right of what they offer, notes that once the form is completed you will receive a, "custom estimate... within one business day." 19 minutes after I submitted my online request f I received the following email: From: tskjold@nscpro.net: Thank you for your interest in Maid Brigade. Unfortunately,at this time we are unable to take on new clients. Thank you Upset that I had spent time filling out their form and providing personal information, later to find out that the company would not be willing to provide said services, I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I went back to their site and was unable to locate anywhere that they were not taking on new clients. In fact, every page I viewed encouraged users to fill out the same form I had, requesting their own estimate. This upset me as a consumer to know that not only was my time wasted, but that the time of other individuals looking for an estimate would also be wasted. Upon further investigation, I noticed a link above the estimate form that notes, "If you're still in the budgeting phase, you can get an immediate ballpark estimate for biweekly service with our Instant Quote." I did that at 4:02 p.m. (13 minutes after being told Maid Brigade was not accepting new customers) and received a quote from sales@mnmaidbrigade.com, ending with the following: "We would love to be able to welcome you as a Maid Brigade customer. We look forward to servicing your home and hopefully making your day a little less hectic...thank you for considering Maid Brigade for your house cleaning needs. We hope to be your home cleaner." 22 minutes later, a voicemail from Britney at Maid Brigade asking for a return call to discuss the estimate. 26 minutes later, an e-mail from Britney (brunion@nscpro.net), stating: "Thank you for your interest in Maid Brigade. We welcome the opportunity to give you an estimate for cleaning your home...Please call us at your earliestconvenience… We will be happy to discuss any further questions... and the best day for us to begin helping you with your housecleaning needs." I feel it a safe assumption to note that after the above noted voicemail and emails, Maid Brigade is not interested in one-time-only business, but would be more than happy to talk contract/long-term. That being said, I don't have a problem with businesses that choose to work with only with contracts and not single requests as long as they make that clear; it's businesses like Maid Brigade who claim to do the latter and don’t that is so upsetting. False advertising at its finest.
Description of Work: Nothing. Apparently they aren't taking on new clients but you don't know that until you've spent the time online filling out their form for a free estimate and they email a response. However their "instant" quote gave pricing. See details below.

Maid Brigade has done a great job of cleaning our home. They are flexible with schedule changes and consistently make phone call reminders of up-coming service. When we made special requests to clean specific areas of the house, they accommodated with no problems. On price, I think they're a little on the high side, but I'm guessing that's due to the "green clean" certification and the requirement for use of specific cleaners.

It was absolutely by far, the worst experience in home cleaning I have ever had. The estimate was between $317-$528+ tax for the initial cleaning, which my husband and I were prepared to pay to feel like our home was actually "clean", and not simply wiped down. I walked through our house with the supervisor prior to the crew coming out and was assured that the employees were all trained. I told them to not clean the refrigerator and oven as that is something I can easily do- they did it anyway, resulting in our oven door being broken. I asked that our master bath shower be cleaned, but to not spend too much time on it, as we will be replacing it soon- they obviously spent so much time on it that the caulking was stripped away and my husband spent the weekend repairing it. The cleaning crew broke our glass shelf that I found hanging from the drywall in our downstairs bathroom. this same bathroom had the window wide open and we had our air conditioning on. Our basement had a section that was saturated with water and our upstairs floor bathroom's toilet plunger is wet. I found this to be quite a coincidence...Also, the carpet was not wet the night before the cleaning...Beyond that, the floors were dirty even though they promised to clean them on their hands and knees, glass tables and shelving were missed, window sills had cobwebs, and the utility room, to which they promised the cobwebs were to be removed, were not touched. I had no idea what they plan on charging me, but I called the "emergency line" and got a call several hours later indicating that someone would be out Monday to look at the house. I had to change my schedule around at the last minute to deal with this which will end up costing even more money. On Monday, they sent someone out to do a "re-clean" which was a joke- and then, ended up charging me $330.00 instead of $522.00 + tax. Seems like the only thing that got cleaned was my wallet. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I've been using Maid Brigade for a few months now. This is our first cleaning service, we finally broke down and got this service as my husband and I both work full time and we just had our second child. I'm very impressed with their cleaning. They clean certain things (bathtub, shower walls, vacuum couches) more often than I ever did. They've also been willing to work around the giant toys we have (exersaucer, play mat, ball pit) and always seem to move them/clean around them even though they don't pick up clutter. I love their cleaning products, they leave absolutely no smell and I am incredibly sensitive to smell. I would've found a new cleaning service if their products had smelled like flowers or chemicals. Everyone we've worked with has been incredibly friendly and helpful. The great: They were great with the fact that we had a dog, and willing to work around him and even let him outside midday. They always leave a nice little note welcoming us home. They set up the couch cushions, countertops, and kids beds rather nicely by arranging the cushions/blankets/countertop stuff. Sometimes it's the little things that just kind of make you smile. I think they're a little more expensive than other cleaning services, but totally worth it for the friendly cleaning products. They have cleaned all the water spots off our shower walls. I am in awe!! The not so great: When I first called to get an estimate I accurately gave my houses stats over the phone. When they came over to verify the house size, it was discovered that they had coded one of my bathrooms as a half bath but they're all full baths (I know I told them correctly over the phone). This increased the price around $15/visit. I wasn't overly upset by this but found it a little annoying. They really talked up their vacuums and said within a few visits they would have all the dog hair up regularly. I looked a little sideways at them with this claim as we have a 90 lb yellow lab and can never get all the hair out of our carpet - I don't really expect to be able to. While their vacuums are better than ours, they still don't get all the hair up. I think that's fine, but they did claim they would. Other things: I do wish they had a little more flexibility in rescheduling cleanings. They seem to be full pretty fast, although maybe I call too late to get things switched. I'm sure they don't want employees standing around doing nothing but sometimes I have things come up last minute and I haven't been able to get things changed when I'd like to. Not a huge deal there either. Their phone lines are a little confusing. I think there's a national call center and a local center, and sometimes you'll get rerouted to one or the other and it's rather confusing for everyone involved. Overall I would highly recommend them. As I said this is my first experience with a cleaning company and it's been very nice.

Hired maid brigade to do a move out cleaning of my 1200 sqft town home. When I scheduled they gave me an estimate range that was quite large I thought but understandable since they gave the estimate over the phone. They did charge me the very top of the range they estimated but didn't go over. They did a fantastic job cleaning and even cleaned some areas they were even suppose to just so "they did a very good job for me". A field manager stopped by and performed a walk through with me and pointed out areas for them to do a better job and the work was completed. They provide you with a 2 hour window of when they will arrive which isn't too bad, but they didn't arrive until 20 minutes after their 2 hour window, add that to over 2 hours of cleaning and it took up a large portion of my day. Overall I would recommend them to a friend because they did provide very good service.

The team varied with generally a consistent team leader. This person was not very friendly. When the team arrived it felt as though my home was being invaded. They took over all areas of the house so my husband and I either had to leave or he had to hide in his office and try to work over the noise they produced. If I had not eaten or dressed, I had to postpone this until they were done. I had items broken that were not reported to me only for me to discover them later. Never did they clean the inside of a trash can. There were times some trash cans were not even emptied. My hardwood floors were cloudy instead of shiny cleaned only with a swifter type cleaning and left to dry. My shower glass door that had a finish on it to repel water and thus not spot, no longer has that. I am assuming this is from products they used. The management team was difficult to deal with. If I complained, they came to oversee the crew but things never really improved. Their communication tool was a weekly card for me to fill out and return but the format was not beneficial in letting them know how things went and I only used it when I was extremely upset over services. (I must add they crew the last 2 weeks has shown improvement so this is not about them) My final straw was a dispute over a charge for skipping a week while out of town. Apparently, this was anew policy I had never been informed of though last year I had canceled them while on vacation and they never up charged me for it then

It is unfortunate that this customer decided to vent undeservedly at her cleaning service. We strive for consistency in our service. We also do our best to minimize disruption when customers are home. Naturally, some noise must be expected due to the nature of cleaning a house. Similarly, it is not reasonable to expect to use a kitchen or bathroom while it is being cleaned. Accidents can happen and when a small decorative item was broken last year we promptly replaced it. We do solicit feedback after every cleaning including mail and online options as well as regular surveys. This customer rated us as excellent only a few weeks ago. We have not changed billing policies in the last two years and have charged this customer only what we provided in writing. Suffice it to say that this customer paid us to clean her home 83 times so this report is not at all reflective of our quality. We regret that this customer had some unrelated issues which led her to behave unprofessionally regarding us. Nonetheless, we do wish her well in resolving her personal matters.

I’ve been using cleaning services for the last nine years, and this is the only company that provided proof of insurance and bonding up front. They were able to give me a rough estimate over the phone when I initially contacted them, which I really appreciated. The crew that comes to my home is fantastic! I really like that they use environmentally safe cleaning products. This leaves my home smelling fresh, and not like a chemical factory. I have 3700sq feet, and they charge me between $140.00- 175.00 each visit, depending on what we need done. I think this company is easy to deal with, and overall fantastic.

After they left we noticed the hardwood and tile floors in our town home didn't appear to be clean. We took a damp paper towel to a tile floor and when we wiped the floor it came up black with dirt. We also noticed the hardwood floors were also still dirty even though this was one of the areas supposedly cleaned. A supervisor came by after the cleaning as agreed that the job performed was sub-par. She offered to have the crew return. We both work from our home offices and could not give up the time again to have a crew return.On previous occasions we noticed wood blinds or shelves not dusted, carpets not vacuumed thoroughly, etc. We don't have time to follow housekeepers around and pointing out unfinished work. Do NOT use this service!

After moving into the house, it became apparent that I was going to need some serious help cleaning it. I wanted the house cleaned top to bottom and I made clear I was willing to pay extra to block off the entire day, pay for extra people, whatever it took. I was informed that I couldn't pay for a whole (or even half) day, couldn't pay for extra people, and that the 2 to 3 person team that would be sent would be able to get the job I was asking for done. I also made clear that if it was a good job, we would be signing up for bi weekly cleaning. Well, I was told that I would be receiving a scheduling call to give me the time frame for cleaning. When I received this call, I was given a time frame that they would be there between noon and 2pm. I expressed concern that if they arrived at 2pm, they would not get the job done. As they could also not stay "late". They have to be back at the office at 5pm. Well, 2pm rolled around and they weren't here. It was almost 3pm before they arrived. So they were here less than 2 hours and it was a terrible job. I wanted the entire house dusted and then all cabinetry and closets wiped down, trim work wiped down, bathrooms cleaned. I didn't need our furniture to be dusted at this time, I was only concerned about the house itself. Knowing we were going to be short on time, I told them not to bother with the floors (there were boxes all over anyhow and I figured vacuuming and floor washing could be another time). So of course, the job was terrible. The drawers and cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms still had sticky gunk in them. Dusting had been missed as well. When I called to complain about it, I wanted a refund. But their policy is to "reclean" rather than refund. So after trying to get a refund and it being a lost cause, I had them come back. So when they called to give me my time frame, it was again the same time frame. And this time they didn't arrive until after 4pm. However, since it was a "reclean", the rules had changed and now instead of having to be back at 5pm to the office, they now were "able" to stay until the job was done. It was a better job, and after them being here another 90 minutes or so and "done", I just told them it was "fine" and let them go. It was better, but still nowhere near a decent job. I didn't even bother to call and complain about the "reclean" as I knew there was no point. I did not want a 3rd "reclean". I wanted it done and done right. And not have to be disrupted waiting around for a 3rd full day and having them show up late. It is obvious that this particular location of Maid Brigade just doesn't care. I had used Maid Brigade in other cities we have lived and NEVER had an issue. They were always on time and did a satisfactory job.

The team arrived at 2:07pm, approximately 7 minutes later we than estimated. However, they were able to get the job done and you confirmed that the job was completed to your satisfaction at 4:46pm (otherwise they could easily have continued the next morning). As always, we stand behind all our work. When you contacted us some 24 hours later to let us know of an issue, we promptly provided a re-clean the next day. We understand that moving house can be stressful and our goal is to make it easier.

The lead cleaner was a very pleasant woman named Steph who did her stuff well. Her co-worker or assistant did not clean good and took time away from Steph since she had to keep helping her know what and how to do the job. This was frustrating as they were being payed hourly. I did not know I'd be paying for someones training. I was also overcharged. What I mean by that is I had to correct her on the 1st amount she told me at the home, while the job was being finished, I was not told they would start the clock the minute they pulled into the drive, regardless of how long it took them to get into my house and was also charged some kind of trip fee I think they called it, that I was not informed of prior to services. This was suppose to be a spring cleaning visit. On their website they have a list of what's suppose to be done, within the areas being done, and it was not. I could have said something but I was nervous about the helper who was going to put my oven rack on my new sink to scrub it. I would think anyone would know it would sratch the sink up. To my suprise even the "superviser" who cam to look and take care of the $ part told her to go ahead. I stopped them and said no but I will give you a peice of cardboard to put it on so you dont tear up our new sink. As well as I was dealing with the other woman and the $ part. It was chaotic. Their idea of mopping is like a swiffer wet jet. That's something I do between actual cleanings. Not what should be done by a professional cleaner. I'm mentally wore out from being able to say more. But to say the least I would highly recommended trying a different company.
Description of Work: They were to "spring" clean the entryway, kitchen, dining area ,stove (inside), and1 1/2 bathrooms.

The company came to my home twice. The first time, they sent two workers deathly afraid of dogs knowing that I have a large dog. Had I not been home, they would not have been able to clean due to their fear. During the cleaning, they requested feedback on completed work, and I noted that the carpet upstairs remained covered in dog hair and that the dresser was not dusted. Although I was assured, it would be taken care of, it was not. Other work that we had contracted to be performed was not done: the floors were not cleaned, the cobwebs were not removed, the dusting was incomplete, etc. Also, I found half of a broken, hand-painted egg I bought on a trip to Romania in a plant in my living room after they'd left. I couldn't find the second half anywhere. I contacted the company the first business day following the service, but was unable to actually speak to someone for two weeks. She told me she'd investigate the broken egg, apologized for my dissatisfaction, and promised they'd do better. So, I gave them a second chance. The second cleaning was absolutely terrible. The kitchen floor wasn't mopped, the cobwebs were missed in every room, the other wood floors were not vacuumed, objects were not dusted, the toilets weren't cleaned, etc. The list for what was actually done is shorter than the list for what wasn't. I was still waiting to hear about my broken egg and expected the company to contact me given my earlier concerns, but nothing. Eventually, I contacted them expressing my dissatisfaction and asking for a refund of half the charges. The company refused and although promised a credit for my broken egg, has yet to issue the credit. This experience has been terribly disappointing.
