MACH 1 THE SPEED OF SOUND

I bought a used 2003 Honda civic with an alarm system that gave me problems such as doors not unlocking with an authorized key,sounding the alarm and immobilizing the start system, rearming the alarm system with the doors unlocked, and sounding when bumping the car. Honda had it one day and charged me about $300 to change the driver door lock actuator then told me the alarm system worked normally. It didn't make a difference. The second day I took it back to Honda and one of the service coordinators took about half an hour to determine the alarm system was aftermarket installation and not original Honda. He referenced me to Best Buy. I got home and researched the internet and Angie's list for car alarm installers. Mach 1 was listed but not the address in Saint Paul until I went to the Mach 1 website. The Mach 1 facility in Saint Paul is a small shop. Bruce the manager there was very friendly and struck me as extremely knowledgeable. He looked at the alarm installation, estimated removal time of one and a half hours and the charge would be $75.00 to remove the alarm. He worked on it right away and took about a half hour to remove the aftermarket alarm. After that everything worked normal on the car. I could lock and unlock the car, leave it unlocked and not have the alarm sound or rearm and no effect on the immobilizer system so the starting system worked like it was supposed to. It was well worth the money to me to get the car fixed right. Bruce really liked what he was doing with electronics and was very pleasant to work with.
