Tom was extremely professional, very responsive and his crew did an amazing job with my roof. I was super nervous about the entire insurance/contractor process and had heard many nightmare stories. My neighbors had used Tom to do their roofs and I check him out on Angie's list as well. I have been so impressed the entire process. He did his part quickly in dealing with the insurance company. My insurance company was super responsive which also helped the process along. What I thought was going to take at least a year was wrapped up (insurance, roof, payments) in just a few months! I could not be happier! I will definitely be using Tom for additional improvements to my 1960's rambler as they are needed. I look forward to working with him again.

I shopped around, talked with and compared other vendors and products and then decided Lake Region Home Improvement was the best fit for my needs. In the end, quality of both product and workmanship, professionalism and price were some of the factors that confirmed I had made the right choice.

Tom and his crew where great! Very responsive to questions before booking the job. Less then one month from job booking to install, a far cry from the 3 months the big box stores where quoting. Add a lifetime warranty on our two sliding doors and great workman ship and we couldn't be happier.

Excellent. Tom made an appointment to do the initial estimate very promptly. Once the windows were ordered, Tom kept us informed as to the expected delivery and installation date. They showed up to do the job exactly as promised. Tom and his crew were highly professional. We enjoyed having them work on the home. The installation went exactly as described and was very smooth. They cleaned up after the job and the new windows look and perform wonderfully.

Tom was great!!! Job was completed in one day. My phone calls were always returned and Tom was quick to return for a minor adjustment that was needed. He was friendly and courteous.

Tom and Lake Region Home Improvement were fantastic. He came out and walked around the house with us, answered any questions we had, did some math and gave us a very reasonable price. The day the work was done, they had tarps down, ready to start removing the old roof at 7 and were done sweeping the last bits off the driveway shortly after noon. Except for the new shingles, you couldn't tell they had even been there It's been a few months now and the new roof and shingles are looking great. We've already recommended Tom to a few people and will continue to do so. They do business the way things used to be done. The right way.

Very nice work. The windows all fit and look great! Workers were efficient and did not leave a mess. Laid down tarps inside and cleaned up all debris outside.

Tom met me at my house on time. He was very careful in his ladder placement to avoid denting my gutters and inspected the problem area. He explained to me that I could fix it the problem with a some silicone caulk and even applied the caulk to home for no charge. I have been monitoring the leak closely through several large storms and heavy rains the past month and so far not a single leak.

Had no problems with the removal or install of new door. He laid down tarps from my front door to where the patio door was located and laid down 3 carpet runners on top of the tarps at the patio door installation for added protection. He said it would take about 4 hours and he was within 15 minutes of that estimate. We were satisfied with the workmanship and care that was provided by Tom Halbur the owner and his assistance.

Tom is very easy to work with, knows his stuff, and gets the job done right. He and another worker arrived on time and were able to get both patio doors installed in one day. They took careful measures to make sure nothing got damaged, and completely cleaned up any and all mess that was made, including taking away the old doors. Very professional all the way around. We love the new doors, Alside 6100's, they slide nice and easy, and are very energy efficient, a huge improvement over the old wood doors we had. We would like to put in some new windows, at some point, so Tom would be our go to guy for that as well. Would definitely recommend!

Tom is very personable, a great guy to have around. The siding crew worked on the house first, and there was a little difficulty in communication, but Tom came out to the house and cleared things up. We found out our garage had NO exterior sheathing under previous siding! this, however didn't cause much delay in time, but it did add to the cost of the project. The house is an odd combination of over the garage 2nd story addition, full 2nd story in the back and a story and a half in the front with a small dormer for a bedroom. We also had a bit of an issue with the phone and internet cable being installed differently than we would have desired it, and again a call to Tom resolved the issue to our satisfaction. Tom personally did the new window installation. It was not an easy procedure due to there being 3 different kinds of windows in our older home and the addition. It took us awhile to find the maple window molding that most closely matched our other windows; Tom quickly installed the pieces for us. A replacement part for one window took awhile to come, so job wasn't totally completed until November.

The patio door was brought on site the day of the install. Unfortunately, the door and the door casing were two different colors. Since the existing door had already been removed, they installed the door in a temporary fashion that would work and properly insulated it. Within 2 weeks, the new door had been sent. They immediately came out, removed the first door, and installed the correct door. All finish trim was installed (upgraded trim was provided at no charge due to the inconvenience). The final product looks and works great. I will definitely use this company again for other window replacements.

It was a very cold day and outdoor work was necessary for both the window and the doors. The two individuals working kept on the job and did excellent work. They finished in less than a day and cleaned up all of the internal and external debris. We would certainly hire them again. Very good to work with.

Tom and his crew were here when they said they would be and did nice work. His bid was very reasonable and we are happy with the outcome.

The installation went great. We were so happy with the results that we plan on having Tom come back do some more work next Spring.

The windows and roof have held up well. Our heating bills our lower due to the Ultramax windows and the roof is still in good shape, in spite of Minnesota weather. The bathroom is beautiful. The tub was replaced with a tiled shower, walls were redone and look new, lights, fan, mirror, toilet, vanity, and towel racks all replaced. I was impressed with the plumber, electrician, and tilers that worked with Tom. All were highly professional and did quality work.

I think he is thorough and does a solid job. The problem was he was slow to get to it and took too long to finish it. I did take a trip in the middle of the job but felt he could have been done by then. He discouraged me from what I thought I wanted and did it accordingly. His workman ship is very good and I love my deck.

Tom came out to give us an estimate for new windows and that started a professional/ friendship relationship I have yet to regret. If you want an HONEST, reliable, hard working regular good guy...Tom is the one to call. I NEVER felt like I had to second guess his opinion, quote of a job or how to get something done. He did put in the windows, which was right on the mark for quality and price. I had to call someone when we put in hardwood floors and ran into a level problem. I had no idea where to turn so I called Tom and he was over in 1/2 hour to give his opinion- NO CHARGE. His opinion turned out to be right and the installers were able to finish the job that day. We are going to be selling our house in about a year to move to Colorado and he is the man I definitely will be calling to get a few jobs done before our home goes on the market. As far as the windows and doors go.....no more drafts in the winter and no more frosting up either. Also...cleaning them is a breeze! Thank you Tom!

Tom was on time for the estimate appointment, did a very thorough job of measuring, discussed options and alternatives, and quickly submitted a very fair bid for the job. He planned the installation so there was very little additional delay when the windows arrived from the factory. Installation was quicker than I had expected and the results are beautiful. Tom confirmed questions with me prior to and during installation. He also went the extra mile and stained some new moulding around the windows to be fairly close to the original woodwork color. I would definitely call Tom in the future for any home improvement project.
