We had to call Mr. Kurimay to ask when our piece would be picked up. Ken the sub came and got it in Aug. Ken said he would see us in a few weeks. We never heard from them again. I called the first part of November and ask what was happening with the desk, Mr. Kurimay said he would check with Ken and get back to me, never called back. I called the next day and was told we would have the desk the next week nothing happened no desk no call. Called Mr Kuimay on Monday Nov. 28th no ans. no returned call. Called Tued Nov.29th spoke to a workman who took a message and promised to have Mr. Kurimay call no call . Called Wed. Nov 30th twice no returned call, I left messages and my phone number home and work after each phone call... Called Thur. Dec. 1st used a different phone as i felt he was checking caller ID and not ans. when he saw my name. Talked to Mr. Kurimay he told me he was having problems with Ken getting work done said he was sorry about the delay> I tool hiom 4 mo. for a small repair was no exceptable that I lwanted my piece bake done or not done as I had said in all of my messages. He said he would chec with Ken and return my call thaqt day, never called. Called Friday Dec. 2nd. Mr Kurimay ans. and I was told the piece was done and would be delivered that day or next. I asked about a discount on the work ( I told him in every message I left that we expected one) he did not feel that he needed to do that. Desk delivered Fri. night. Work d*** very well Ken apologized for it takeing so long never really given a good reason. Mr. Kuimay appologiezed everon was very sorry. We were given a discount but would have not gotten it if I had not pushed for it. About 4 mo. to get a 14" x 30" desk top with 3 damaged areas done.

They were very courteous and provided what we needed. We just decided that it was more than what we wanted to spend. They responded right away and their quote wasn’t too expensive. They were very good; straightforward and honest.

I remember that it was expensive, it was a little chair and they did a nice job. They did nice workmanship and they were excellent in the quality. I didn't compare them to many, but they were a little higher in price.

The price was reasonably on the high end. He is a very perfectionistic man. I didn't like his fabric so I went out and found my own and brought it to him. He was quite upset with me for doing that. He was very stiff with me. When my husband went with me he changed his attitude completely. He was warm and friendly and really the greatest guy. I don't know if he trouble with me or what happened. He was unwarm with me but was the greatest with my husband. The work itself was absolutely gorgeous. It was done perfectly. His time period was reasonable. It took about two weeks.

Extremely well. The original manufacturer of the chairs had not done a professional job of the seats which were sagging in the middle. Mr Kurimay is clearly very experienced and skilled in antique repair/upholstery. He had a wide selection of fabrics to choose from, and was very punctual in getting the work done to a short deadline (within 2 weeks). He gave me sound advice on the type of patterns and finishes to select to complement the design of the chairs and our dining room, and was very personable and helpful throughout the process. I am delighted with the chairs and would highly recommend this service provider.!! His quote was more expensive than some of the other re-upholstering service providers I looked at, but he delivered a high quality result.

John Kurimay did an excellent job on my chairs. He is very experienced, personable, and really knows the trade. I will definitely use him again, because he is one of the best in Minneapolis.

The work turned out fine. We had purchased the chairs years ago and we could not find replacement chairs that we wanted. The furniture company gave me their name and I called them. The guy came and picked up the cushions; they were seat and back cushions that were fabric. He put a vinyl replacement on them and he had it done within two days. He brought them back. We were very happy and he was a nice fellow. The price was very good and it included the material.

Kurimay is near our neighborhood which makes them convenient. They Do great work. The chair I brought in was from the '30's and they refurnished and recovered it. The worker seemed to know a lot about the chair. He knew when it was made and by who, I was impressed. He helped us pick out the material to recover it with and then did great work. They are expensive but it was worth it.

The piece of wood that was carved came out perfect, I cannot tell that this has bee replaced. The upholstering job was superb. John is very knowledgeable about his craft. He was able to look at the chair and tell me how old it was and the first fabric he picked was perfect. The cost for the frame work and refinishing was $550 and the upholstery was $550.

THE JOB WAS INCREDIBLE AND FROM SEEING THE UPHOLSTERY WORK THAT WAS GOING ON THERE THEY DO GREAT WORK. THE FURNITURE REFINISHING IS DONE BY ONE PERSON, BY HAND. JOHN DOES ALL OF THE UPHOLSTERY WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF ONE INDIVIDUAL.
