KITCHENS MADE SIMPLE

I had my kitchen remodeled in May. I am thrilled with the results and the crew. Communication was outstanding. The workers were wonderful and on time…8:00 AM sharp. I have had other work done in my home, and the crew with Kitchens Made Simple far exceeds any other contractors I’ve experienced. The quality of the cabinetry is exceptional, and the skill of the carpenters and installers was second to none. Andy made my wishes come true in the design layout and patiently accommodated my “tweaks” to my original plan. I highly recommend Kitchens Made Simple.

Excellent! Best customer service and craftsmanship that I've seen in a very long time. We gutted the kitchen and installed everything new. Very responsive during process and creative in problem solving. I enjoyed working with everyone on the team from design planning to final punch list! I cannot recommend highly enough!

KMS just finished our gorgeous kitchen remodel and we couldn't be happier with the customer service or the remodel itself. Doug, Rob, and the team were great at keeping our project on task, communicating with us, and were trustworthy/easy to have around the house. We found the pricing to be fair and quality of the work exceptional. We would not hesitate to use KMS again and highly recommend them.

Overall it went well. Doug and his team of workers did a great job on the kitchen and we love it. We got the Starmark Cabinets and we are very happy with them and they look great. Rob and Doug were happy to let us do some things ourselves to keep the cost within in our budget. I think we overall paid a very fair price for what we got. My only con is the communication on finances. The initial estimate came in really high - we almost did not use them because of it. It wasn't until we reviewed the estimate closely that we figured out there was an unnecessary charge for electric and some other items we could do ourselves. It also was not made clear there were several different cabinet options that could have reduced our price. If we hadn't prompted them for more information and what we could do ourselves we would not have used them. For the final bill we were also charged for all additional items not on the original estimate but I had to bring up what we should have been credited for those to bring down the final price. I don't think this was done intentionally but instead it was some back office issues. Overall I would recommend Kitchens Made Simple but I would be very thorough to review all invoicing items to make sure they are correct.

I ultimately ended up using another provider. I gave them some feedback directly about kind of lack of follow through.

Company is co-owned by two people; one is in charge of sales, the other is responsible for project management. The company is on the smaller side but they do employ a few of the workers that are responsible for a majority of the work. This is key. They contract out electrical and plumbing. The quality of the work is good and they were very responsive to the few concerns we had. We were especially pleased that they stayed within their project timeline and budget. If there was anywhere where there was an opportunity for improvement it would be with the project management. We felt that he was just not a "people person" and sometimes got frustrated with us when we did not understand "technical" descriptions or wanted things done a certain way. In the end we got what we wanted but if he worked on his "people skills" we think this company would be even more productive. If we had another kitchen to remodel I would use them again. Great job for good prices.

I was not excited about that. It was a little bit misleading. he came out and did measurements and then we went back to the office to render the pictures. We didn't get to keep measurements but just the picture.

Great carpenters, Josh and Tim. Design and Project management needed to be stronger.

The provider was helpful with plans for a kitchen remodel but I never used them.

I replaced a double oven in the kitchen and it wasn’t exactly fitting into the space that had been there before. I called and asked if they could do that. They came out and installed the oven. They made sure everything matched and looked great again. They were still available to help. The workers were great. They were really nice bunch of guys. They work very hard to make sure you are happy and you are getting exactly what you. I like them a lot.

We signed up for the bathroom design as we were thinking about a remodel and the price was right. We thought it would be good to get some expert input and ideas. The provider showed up for their original review of the space and discussion about what we were interested in. It all went downhill from there and we never did get the design plans. After several cancelled appointments they somehow failed to call the right phone number to cancel the last one. We drove to their office only to find out nothing had been done. There where multiple excuses and some adhoc discussion about what to do with the space. They promised a follow up call when the plans where ready and we never heard from them again. It was a frustrating waste of time. I never followed up on getting reimbursed as I was just generally disgusted with the experience.

It went well. I had a lot of time with the designer, who listened to my ideas and created an excellent plan, adding some really nice touches of her own.

It went very well. We just needed someone to help us with a plan. We did not end up using them to do our project.

They were fine. Responsiveness was good, although they get other some delayed stuff, but always responded well. They made some minor mistakes but responded very well.

Provider was very pleasant and professional. She answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable concerning the makeover process, products and options. Sending the e-mail makeover plans was very helpful. We did not utilize this provider as we have not decided on makeover to this date.

KMS remodeled our kitchen in August, 2013. They were great. They put a lot of effort into the planning and material selection. No pressure whatsoever. They accommodated everything we wanted to do. They cost was lower than what we expected. They were punctual, very courteous and conscientious. We thought they were great all around. Now the best part. About 6 months after the work was completed we started noticing some problems with the floor. The tiles were warping and separating. In May we called them and told them what we were seeing. They came out the following week, acknowledged the problem and said they would contact the manufacturer. They called every couple of weeks to let us know what was going on. In July they called and said that they would remove the old floor, let us pick out what kind of new floor we wanted (didn't have to use a product from the previous manufacturer) and they would install ASAP. No cost. Four weeks later the new floor was in and it looks fantastic. KMS is first class all they way around. Some of the nicest people you'll ever work with.

We are thoroughly happy with our new kitchen and the process of working with KMS was great. We had not had any remodeling done before, but the whole process went smoothly, from design through construction. The quality of the workmanship by all involved is outstanding...with special kudos to Tim the carpenter. They kept us informed throughout the process, cleaned up the area each day, and made the whole process easy for us. Their designer Kay was great. She was helpful in understanding what we wanted and gave us many options to consider for cabinets, flooring, lights, countertop, etc. We loved being able to see many styles and samples all in one place in their showroom, instead of having to run around for this. There was never pressure to select particular options. Their prices were good, quality of work excellent, they were easy to work with and staff were all professional and a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend them (and, in fact, already have done so).

We got a deal for the redesign (the idea being they'd then get the work to actually do the remodel), but didn't ever go in for a final design update, so didn't get a price estimate. Charles Daws came out and took the measurements of our kitchen as is. He was on time, very nice and professional. I had spent a great deal of time preparing a specific list of must-have items and features, would be nice things, and "stuff to avoid."I asked about some unusual things I'd been considering, and he was able to suggest ways to do them by adapting more common features, so saving some cost as compared to totally custom items. I was looking forward to working with him. He took my list, the measurements, and photos of the kitchen back to the "store" and one of the designers was to make the design using their software tool. He recommended giving the designer at least 10 days to work on the design, a pretty short time, but we weren't making drastic changes in support walls or anything. When we went into the store a couple weeks later to meet with the designer, we met with Jaqlyn Darling. She was pleasant but it was apparent that she had thrown together the design within the day before our appointment. I got the feeling it was just before we walked in the door. Many requests were omitted or changed, a partial wall had appeared above the space to the living room (there isn't one there, the ceiling just goes on over the space), and there was really only one tiny change from what we already have. While we sat there, we talked her through things we wanted (that were on the list previously given to her) and she acted like those were good ideas and change the design on the fly. We decided to take the design and consider options we wanted (and were willing to pay for) and come back for a redesign. We came into some unexpected expenses and then family emergencies, so the kitchen remodel has been on hold since then. Would I go back? yes, but I would ask for a different designer. Would I recommend them? possibly, but we don't have much experience to go on.

I met with them and got the plans but decided not to move forward with the project.

The service is very basic and included thoughtful layout of cabinets. This is great if you plan to handle all of the interior design aspects of the kitchen that this service did not focus on. IF you are just trying to identify cabinets, look & placement, then this may be all you need. We aren't interior designers, so we need more help than Kitchens Made Simple & $99 could provide.

they were prompt in coming out to look at my kitchen space and take measurements. then set up time in their showroom to go over designs. Overall, I was disappointed that I had paid for a kitchen design, but I ended up with nothing more than a discussion of counter tops and cabinet replacement, and I never got the bid. I was hoping for for some ideas, even for my small space, especially since I paid for the consulation.

They designed the kitchen. They are amazing. Price was good for what we got. The quality was excellent. There was one thing we didn't like and they came back and fixed it at no cost.

They were fine. We kind of got a plan from them but decided not to go with them. They did a fine job. We had a couple of meetings with them. They didn't perform any work. Only came out with the remodeling plan. They were easy to talk with and they were not high pressure. They provide what they say they will provide without pressure.

Very well laid out with different options

They were great. They contacted us immediately. The man who took measurements, was the owner, was nice and professional. After the measurements, we made an appointment to look at the design in the showroom. We had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather. They were very accommodating. They were also very pleasant and super reliable. Their communication and flexibility was great. Being able to see it in 3-d was definitely worth the cost of the big deal. The estimate to use them as a general contractor for the remodel was high in our opinion. When we mentioned that they said they would be willing to work with us but we’re not at the point for the remodel. The program was more based on kitchen remodel. They were honest and said that they do remodels mostly on kitchens. I’m not sure if we would use them as a contractor for the remodel based on the costs. They also charge a contractor fee. They would be great for a kitchen remodel. The showroom is nice. They are very professional company.
