My apologies to all readers...I forgot to make one important point in my last review of Kitchen Comfort. My house has 8 foot ceilings. There are 2 sheets of sheetrock on the ceiling, and that was apparently too much work for the electrician to put in can lights (this is not the fault of the kitchen designer, of course). The other issue arose around upper cabinets. I was asked if I wanted 30 or 36 inch uppers. I spec'd 36 (I'll have to check -- they may be 39), but I would not do that again. In a room with 8 foot ceilings the tall cabinets diminish the backsplash by 6 inches!!! Way too much! I wanted to hang cooking utensils on bars underneath the cabinets but the utensils are longer than the space allows. Really disappointing. Last, I have limited mobility due to osteoarthritis and corner base cupboards are useless unless they're outfitted with either pullout shelves or circular storage that rotates 360 degrees for access to everything inside. I won't make that mistake again. I'm looking into retrofitting them with appropriate access shelving. My kitchen is tiny and utilizing every inch is important.
