Extremely well , the whole project was completed in 2 days . A 3 Man crew with all the nesesary equipment did a great job . King Scapes sure have one of the best patio building guys with the knowledge and know how in Donny and his team . The owner Donovan Tegg worked closely with his crew on site and it was a absolute pleasure to watch the transformation take place .

It as outstanding. They were done in an hour and a half. They did everything that I asked them to do. I was home and their foreman who was in charge of their crew came up and introduced himself. We went out to the backyard, showed him what work need to be completed. They told me what they would be working on. He checked in while they were working one time and asked me if there's any other work that needed to be done. They charge an hourly rate. I mainly want them to focus on the backyard. They were pretty much done in a little over an hour with the backyard. I asked them to go ahead and complete the backyard and they did. Then they were out of here. He came out and gave me an estimate a month ago. There was still snow on the ground.

The owner is one of the few companies that I have contacted that answered my call and responded immediately. He came out to look at the area within a few days and listened to my concerns. He made the suggestion to call the City to verify what was required. Because of that suggestion, I discovered another city regulation that applied and we were not able to create the parking pad. We were not able to use the services of King Scapes, but I was impressed at meeting Don Tegg and his responsiveness and honesty concerning our situation.

They followed up and kept in touch prior to starting the work and they kept their promise about scheduling. They were very easy to get along with and there was no trauma about it at all. The cost actually came under what he said it was going to cost. The job took about a day and a half and Jonathan, when I called him back in June, came out and looked at it and said he does not come out this far and then he said we will have to charge extra for coming out this far. I agreed to that, but they never charged extra for coming out to my property.

I appreciated the fact they were honest and said they were too busy to do my job.

Tegg revisited my property a year ago and was made fully aware of the problem and agreed to honor his guarantee and has failed to return in spite of repeated contact with him. The following remains outstanding: improper placed edging that still remains on my neighbors property, edging that has come loose around the deck due to no anchoring pins, rock that was supposed to be removed in specified areas that was not done (can't plant in those areas) and was charged for removal in those areas. The rest of the rock removal was sloppily done as well. Even the task of spreading mulch was a problem. A weed kill product was sloppily applied in an area where there were existing perennials, and destroyed a newly planted area. I did get reimbursed for the plants and bushes they 'accidentally' threw out. The workers just showed up with out scheduling a time and date, nor did they have permission either, and began working on my property when I wasn't home. There have been other issues as well. The communication was poor between Tegg and his project manager; Tegg gets defensive instead of being proactive. I have photos available of the areas in question, if any one is interested.

I joined Angie's List specifically to write a review of my bad experience with King Scapes. I was unable to hire them, because they did not respond to any of my three attempts to contact them. This started when I saw their truck in my neighborhood around September 2013, I asked the driver (Adam Shaw) for an estimate of a project I wanted to do in early spring of 2014. I gave him my address (1 block away) and he gave me his contact info on a company door hanger saying he'd be in touch. He did not respond. I emailed Adam Shaw in May 2014 again asking for an estimate of service He replied that he'd drive by to look at my yard and be in touch. A couple weeks went by and still no response from this company. I then I called the company number on the door hanger and left a message. Still no response back from the company. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THE JOB, OR ARE JUST TOO BUSY, THEN TELL ME AND DON'T WASTE MY TIME! I was hire an Angie's List recommended Landscaper, who responded to my email request in 48 hours.

The project took 3 and a half days with 5 to 6 people. First all the edging stones around the gardens were removed. Than the rock was removed, the edging stones were reset, plants planted and mulch added. On the bank in the back yard 3 retaining walls were added behind three large trees which flattened out the area some so as to help with erosion. We have a patio also in the back yard that had some block around it that need to be reset. Four lime stone steps were added on the short decline from the garage door towards the patio. A flagstone path was added from the steps to the patio. Flagstone were also added around the patio for a more finished look. Finally we had two rain gutter drains put under ground. Everyone was very easy to work with and were meticulous in the work. No mess was left after each day. I have only good things to say about King Scapes and would recommend them to anyone. I didn't comment on the price because I didn't get a second estimate so I don't know how that compares. I just liked Donovan from the start and felt comfortable with him. When he came out to give us an estimate he actually rejected a couple of my ideas as not being worth the cost. He said he'd be happy to do it but if it were him he wouldn't. I like that kind of honesty.

I loved everything they did except for the fact that they were about three weeks late. The workers who came out to do the patio were good. Their pricing was also good.

Adam and the team were very responsive to my questions, kept me informed on when they were going to be coming and finishing the project, provided an estimated start date and began the next day after several rain-out days previously. They completed the job in a timely fashion and even took care of some additional landscaping items beyond what I had contracted them do complete. I would definitely use them again in any landscaping project I had. Plenty of compliments already on the outcome.

Donovan is very professional and is very easy to work with. He was able to fit us into a busy schedule despite my delay in calling for services. The mulch transformed our yard it is beautiful. Good cleanup given the amount of mulch applied.

Snow removal was adequate for my corner lot and driveway. needed to be contacted for additional snow removal after streets were plowed and response was not consistant to my liking. after several contacts, snow was still not completely cleared, resulting in blocked walkways to the streets.

overall they did a decent job, the issues were with getting them to understand the job they were doing. There were some internal communication errors with what was to be done and how to do it, and the owner was gone most of the time which made things more confusing. in the end though, the snow got cleared and the price was reasonable

King Scapes did a basic spring cleanup of my yard. I was pleased with the results and with the price.

We are extremely happy with the work King Scapes completed. From the very beginning, we were impressed - Donovan responded to our initial email right away and was very punctual with responses, coming out, sending the estimate, etc. They completed the work in a very short timeframe from when we got the initial bid. We are very happy with the finished result and would definitely recommend them!

I have requested estimates from 8 companies that I found on Angie's List. Of those companies only four have responded to my request, two had openings and provided an estimate. The courtesy of responding to my request is greatly appreciated, even if there were no openings. Of the three estimates I was able to obtain, I King Scapes was the middle. We made a decision to go with another service, but based on my interactions I would certainly recommend them.

It went great - I was trying to move out of the home and ran out of time, and King Scapes saved me from worrying about the yard work. They installed a TON of mulch (4.5 yards) and did a beautiful job cleaning up the yard overall. Looks fantastic. They didn't require me to be home during the service, which was also nice while I was running around. It was a last minute request and they were very accommodating and met my deadline. Great experience.

A team of 3 arrived and within hours they had blown, trimmed, picked up and shredded everything - it looks great. It was very helpful to use a company that knew what they were doing - we just moved into the house and have never had a yard so massive and full of landscaping and trees, I wouldn't have known what to keep, what to take, etc. We live on a cul-de-sac with a landscaped area in the middle of it and many leaves from our house and the neighbors had accumulated. I asked the crew if they could pick up that area too and they said no problem and made quick work of it. I also liked that they charged by the hour/person rather than making a broad estimate (like the other company). They were so efficient and if it wasn't so late in the season, I'd probably have scheduled them twice. I will definitely be using them for my weekly lawn care next season.

Donovan was very prompt in returning my initial phone call, very prompt in coming to my yard to discuss the project and sent me an estimate in a timely manner. He always answered my phone calls when I had questions about the project, very respectful and professional. The project was started and completed on time. Adam, the project manager and designer, was professional and very patient when I changed my mind several times about the design, and reused some of my existing plant materials. The crew that came to do the work was exceptional in every way, I couldn't have ask for anything better. Everyone of the guys was pleasant, responsive to all request and respectful to me and my yard. They left the yard in good condition. Don stopped by during the work to make sure things were going as expected. I will certainly use this company again.

Don was prompt with a follow-up call to set up initial appointment. His bid was the lowest of 3. He was able to fit my project into his busy work schedule. The end result is great. It's going to be a lovely hedge for years to come.

I screened several vendors and Donovan was the most responsive and professional. He adjusted to meet my schedule and has provided consistently great service.

I was extremely pleased from start to finish. Fresh mulch needed to be laid on the plant beds. I alsohad 9 additional boulders placed in the same area. The crew came on time. Eight people were working on the project so that it could be completed in a relatively short period of time. Each person knew exactly what his role was, and they worked together in a seamless manner. In addition, a supervisor was on the job, and the owner was there at the beginning to answer any questions and to help with the boulder placement. A little more mulch was ordered than needed for the existing beds, but I was very happy that it was. The crew used the extra mulch in a creative manner that really enhanced tthe appearance of my yard. Each person on the job was very customer focused and wanted to make sure that I was happy. No request was too small, and I even got a response of "that's what we're here for" when I asked for something to be done. I certainly plan to use King Scapes again.
