Kern Landscape Resources

I've been ordering from Kern for years. Last time I needed compost, I ordered 6 Cu. Yds. It was delivered and dumped in the parking space at the back of my lot. The 6 cu. yds covered an entire 2 car spaces wide, was as tall as the fence, and flowed out into the alley. This year, I ordered 8 cu. yds. What was delivered barely took up the footprint of one car, and was half as tall as the same fence. I called to say that I thought a mistake was made on the order, and that only 4 cu. yds had been delivered. The person I talked to was patronizing and totally blew me off. He wouldn't let me speak to the owner, even though the owner was the person who had both taken and delivered the order. For the product they delivered, the price was also pretty ridiculous at $48 / cu.yd. I agreed to pay it because of the quality of the product that I had received in the past. Speaking of quality, the product that was delivered this year had giant chunks of unmilled manure and compost. In the past, the mixture has been well-milled and spreads easily. This time, it was a disaster. I will not use Kern in the future.

I was very pleased. I did some comparison shopping, and they were by far much better on pricing. It took them awhile, but it was still pretty good. I would absolutely use them again.

We are last minute people, so I called on Thursday and was interested in getting it as soon as they were able. The deliveries were full on that Friday but they said they would bring it Saturday. It showed up by 9:00 am and the driver was SO nice! He was very courteous and made sure to get the load dumped where we wanted it. He was polite, had a good sense of humor and was very kind to my little boys watching his big truck! We'll definitely call them in the future.

I stumbled across Kern while looking for a place near Mac Groveland that would accept waste sod from a landscaping project. After finding them, I've been back many times for trailer-fulls of mulch. The quality, prices, and service are all great. Highly recommended for all DIY landscaping needs. They also deliver (for a fee) and have a full-service landscaping business if you want help with a project.

Asked to be call before delivery so tarps could be laid down before load was left, did not do this so lost some material to the gravel driveway. Other wise all was delivered as promosed. 65.00 delivery fee seemed very reasonalb.

Fine. You pull in the driveway off of Pierce Bulter and go into the office to let them know what you are purchasing. They direct you to where, in the yard, the product is. You fill up your vehicle with the product and stop back in the office. They'll take a look at the amount you purchase and let you know how much you owe.
