+ -1 moreThey are an excellent company. It's just a one man shop but he's very experience and very highly educated. I've recommended him to people. The price was cheap, he only charged $99 for two hours worth of work. They are prompt, the price was low end and he really works with the customer with price. He came right at the time he said he was gonna come, he was a good communicator and he was able to translate the technical language of the electrician's world into everybody's language so we could understand the work that was done.
Description of Work: J Huntley Electric fixed the loose connections on the lights and he also checked our circuit breaker just to see if there's any weak circuit breakers at out main electrical panel.

He explained what he was doing and why, took great care to let us know what options were available and gave recommendations without pressuring us. He is reliable, smart and personable. Can’t recommend him highly enough! Everything works right, looks great and took very little time to finish.

+ -1 moreTo do the job he disconnected and capped off the garbage disposal wiring, then disconnected the dual switch to the garbage disposal and dishwasher, changed the dishwasher from switched to continuously hot, ran wire through the wall over the cupboards and installed an outlet flush to the wall inside the cabinets above the hood range. I have aluminum wiring in my home and Joe was knowledgeable about the proper accommodations for this kind of wiring vs. copper wire. The appliance installers can now install my new microwave range hood and it will run without blowing a circuit breaker! You could never tell the outlet above my stove was just installed; beautiful finishing work. I cannot wait to hire Joe again for my next electrical job and will tell everyone I know about his service.
Description of Work: Re-route a dedicated 15 amp circuit. I was replacing a range hood with a combo range hood and microwave and the existing circuit would not have handled the 14 amps needed to run the microwave. I asked Joe to use the dedicated 15 amp circuit for the garbage disposal and route it to the range hood area.

Description of Work: Joe was punctual when he came for the assessment and also for the work itself. He removed a hanging light fixture in a main floor bathroom and installed a large wall sconce. The original estimate was for $275 and 2-3 hrs of work. He did say that the job may take longer if the old wiring could not be used and new wiring had to be run up from the basement which was the case. He did run into difficulty fishing the new wire up from the basement due to two 2x4s blocking access. The job actually took 6 hrs, and Joe worked continuously without a break. The extra charge came from having to make the remaining box from the old light flush with the ceiling (it stuck out about 1/2 inch after removing the old fixture). In the end, the new light looks great, and Joe did a great job. His only shortcoming was that he did not clean up afterwards, but we had company coming over, and I could do it quickly myself.

+ -1 moreTHE MAN WAS ON TIME AND VERY POLITE. HE ASKED ME QUESTIONS UNTIL HE KNEW JUST WHAT I WANTED AND HE TOOK CARE OF THE REST. HE DID THE SHOPPING, INSTALLING AND THE CLEAN-UP. HE CHARGED US A FAIR PRICE FOR ALL THE WORK HE DID AND HE DIDN'T MAKE ANY MISTAKES THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN MORE REPAIR.
Description of Work: DESIGNED THE LAYOUT OF THE CEILING LIGHTS IN FAMILY ROOM. RAN WIRES, CUT HOLES AND INSTALLED CEILING LIGHT CAMS. ATTACHED 8 LIGHTS ON 2 DIMMER SWITCHES. MAKES A DIFFERENCE OF NIGHT AND DAY IN THAT ROOM!
