Description of Work: I requested an estimate. They sent someone to my home quickly and within the agreed upon time frame. We thought their estimate was reasonable and decided to hire them. I first tried to call to book the job, but was not able to leave a message because their voice mail box was full. I then emailed to request a booking to which they replied and said they would call me. They did not. I then left another voicemail. I never received a response. I feel this was a complete waste of my time and have since hired another company. Here is the last I heard from them (they never returned my call): Nice to hear back from you. Sorry for the delayed response getting back to you (currently extremely busy). Will call you tomorrow at the number that you left on the v-mail. + -1 morePhil was a pleasure to have around and did excellent work. He was thorough and careful. He was unable to weather-proof the exterior door as it was too cold, so he will be returning in the spring to complete the work. He is not charging us the final 10% of the bill until he completes this work. We will definitely hire him again!
Description of Work: Phil added a shower to an existing bathtub, tiled the shower area, re-routed our water heater vent to connect it to the boiler liner in the chimney, installed a new exterior door in our basement, and built an interior landing/step for the doorway.

+ -1 moreI COULDN'T GET OLD TOILET SEAT OFF AND NEEDED TO REPLACE IT, AS I WAS HAVING A PARTY THE NEXT DAY. PHIL MCDONALD WORKED ME IN TO A BUSY SATURDAY MORNING SCHEDULE TO COME REMOVE THE OLD SEAT AND REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE. MY GUESTS AND I THANK HIM!!! I WILL HIRE HIM AGAIN!

+ -1 moreWAS VERY PLEASED WITH EXPERIENCE. CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, COMPLETED THE WORK IN LESS TIME THAN I EXPECTED. COSTS WERE REASONABLE. WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH.
Description of Work: THEY BUILT A GATE ON A DECK STAIRS AND TORE DOWN AND REMOVED AN OLD FENCE, FILLED IN THE HOLES LEFT FROM THE FENCE POSTS AND ADDED DIRT AND GRASS SEED.

+ -1 moreWE WERE EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH PHIL'S DETAILED ESTIMATE WHICH GAVE US THE IMPRESSION HE REALLY LISTENED TO WHAT WE WANTED TO DO WITH OUR HOME IMPROVEMENT PLANS. HE RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO OUR QUESTIONS AND SHOWED UP WHEN WE SAID HE WOULD. EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP AFTER EACH DAY OF WORK AND HE COMMUNICATED THE STATUS OF THE PROJECT WITH US ON A DAILY BASIS. PHIL'S ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND STANDARD OF QUALITY WORK WILL MOTIVATE US TO CALL HIM AGAIN WITH ANY OF OUR HOME IMPROVEMENT NEEDS. HE ALSO HAS AN EXCELLENT REFERENCE NETWORK OF PEOPLE TO CALL IN THE EVENT HE CAN'T DO THE WORK HIMSELF.

HIS CREW CLEANED UP AFTER EVERY DAY OF WORK AND PHIL COMMUNICATED THE PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT WITH US ON A REGULAR BASIS. HE IS RESPONSIBLE AND RELIABLE. WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE HAVING HIM WORKING IN OUR HOME.
