The experience with our sales person was wonderful. However, after the workers actually started the work, it couldn't have gone more wrong. Part of my contract stated they would level out my bathroom floor, which they never did, and they didn't tell me about that until after all the work was already completed. The tile on the floor was supposed to be installed in a diamond pattern, but they installed it in a grid format. After I insisted they correct the tile, the head installer actually yelled at me for not informing them they were installing the tile incorrectly sooner. They broke the mirror that was supposed to be installed in the bathroom and made me purchase a new one, as well as making me purchase all of the hardware needed, even though they were supposed to have ordered that. The project took 4 days longer than was initially quoted. After all of that, the caulking around the bathtub was so poorly done that it leaked into the first story of our house. We discovered the floor wasn't level and the tile looks like a 5 year old installed it, complete with chunks of missing grout. Even after I called Home Depot to complain, the manager I spoke with took zero interest in my complaint and said "What do you want me to do about it? All the work is done already." Buyer beware. Don't use their services.

The initial scheduling was difficult because I had to initiate the calls. We finally received one day notice of project start, and I was to have existing tile floor removed. The demo portion went well. The installation of the shower base included dumping cement through the drain hole into the basement. I found the cement after the Home Depot people left but before it hardened. The work took longer than the project manager had projected and took 6 days total. The work had several flaws when completed: 1) the caulking in the shower was not smooth and had gaps, 2) the caulking between the shower pieces and the bathroom wall was incomplete, 3) the grout between the floor tiles did not come to the edge of the tiles, 4) the joint between the vanity top and backsplash was not caulked, 5) the carpet edge piece where it met the floor tile was not replaced, 6) grout was splashed on the toilet and hardened. Home Depot completed correcting the problems with a different installer in another day.
