Home Depot - Eagan

It is very close. I am always there getting something. They are good. The people who work there know sign language there and I can use them because they can bring those people to the department. Great people that work there. They had everything and the service I needed.

We are finding it hard to find certain specialist..............example (floorboards). It took us well over 2 hours to find someone and get a few pieces of wood cut. This was after we went to the front help desk.

,I went to Home Depot in Eagan to arrange for an estimate on porcelain and engineered flooring in the upper level of our home. I choose the products that I wanted and paid $50.00 for the estimate. I have no problem with this part, the saleswoman was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. It is the estimater/installer with whom I have to issue. I received a much lower estimate from an independent contractor and decided to go with him, lower by about $3,000 on a $12,000 job. Home Depot had provided me with a detailed list of the services and supplies that would be used on the job, so the contractor said to just to order the supplies that would be needed for the installation off of that list. When they completely the job they told me that the estimate written by the Home Depot people included 13 bags of flexbond (the stuff that the whole floor would need to have on it for the porcelain to sit on in order to bond to the floor) . The installation only required THREE bags. Coincidently this is just about the only thing that could be used on just about any installation of tile that the Home Depot contracter would do. This totaled $500.00 when returned to the store!! Possibly this is only the Home Depot contractor padding the order, but Home Depot is untimately responsible for their subs. They should keep a better eye on them, because this experience has caused me to avoid Home Depot at all costs!l

I just went to buy plants. It wasn't spectacular, It wasn't horrible. It was a good experience.

On the first visit we spoke to 2 sales people. One said Home depot did not install this product because it was so easy that homeowners did it themselves. The second person said she thought they did it so we arranged to have a Home depot contractor come to measure. Home depot called saying measuring person noted some uneven spots in floor that would need to be fixed before installation. He could not tell me how much that would cost because carpet was still on part of the floor. He could not even give me a max amt it would cost. I suggested we hire them to remove carpet and examine floor so we could get an accurate estimate. It took a week for him to get back with an estimate for that. It was $175. The tile installation quote without floor prep was $600.( in addition to carpet removal and floor prep) I found a second company that did the whole thing for $650. When buying the tiles at Home Depot , I explained to the salesperson how hard it was for us to get Home Depot to install it. I told her it seemed like they did not want to do the work. She said that the workmen do not like to work with vinyl. ( not sure if this is correct but they sure acted like they did not want the job) It would have saved us a lot of time if they just said so to begin with and we would have gone to Angie?s list sooner to find an installer.

The installers did a really good job. They cleaned up after themselves. They were prompt. They got the job done in a timely manner. We were happy with the product. The prices were comparable.

The gentlemen that did the work was excellent and very detailed. The only thing that I didn't like was that there was a limited selection of product that I could choose from and also to honor the 10% discount you had to make your selections at the time of the estimate. I would hire the gentlemen that did the work again.

Very pleased and always will to help. Their staff is very helpful.

I called them to come back out to replace the j channel at least 5 times. They told me they were going to send someone out and never did. They did not look professional and used the same J channel. I had to find the J channel that matched and home depot did not have the J channel and I had to tell them where to order the J channel. Since that time no one has come back and it has been 4 and half months. I talked to an area manager who said she would try to get someone out to fix the problem.

The entire process was great... from the sales representative, tech/measurer, to the installer! My installer arrived early, was very polite, professional, experienced, and he took great pride in his work. He is extremely detail oriented. He was fabulous! I LOVE my kitchen cabinets!! I would highly recommend this company!! I have already lined them up to reface my master bathroom cabinets. YEAH!

The design group at the Eagan Home Depot is great to deal with. They are very informative and helpful. A very pleasant guy came out to measure prior to ordering the countertop, and the installers were total work horses!! They worked from 10:00-2:30 without a break, and both installers were extremely polite and cleaned up before they left. Only snag in the process was the backsplash wasn't the correct height. However, they corrected the problem and installed the corrected backsplash the next night. My countertops look fabulous!

HOME DEPOT SUB-CONTRACTS WITH AN OUTSIDE COMPANY TO DO THE WORK. THE SUB-CONTRACTOR CAME OUT TO DO THE BID ON OVER 450 FEET OF FENCE. HIS PRICE WAS THE HIGHEST OF 6 WE RECEIVED, $3,000 OVER THE FINAL PRICE WE ACCEPTED. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE LACK OF RESPONSE OF HOME DEPOT TO GET SOMEONE HERE TO DO A BID, IT MADE ME VERY LEERY OF HIRING ANYONE THEY CONTRACT WITH TO DO THE WORK.

RENT A TOOL FOR A FEW HOURS SHORTLY BEFORE CLOSING TIME (7-8PM OR SO) AND YOU'LL HAVE IT AVAILABLE UNTIL THEY OPEN THE NEXT DAY (6-8AM DEPENDING ON DAY).

THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO MEASURE MY KITCHEN BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENED, AND EITHER HE SCREWED UP THE MEASUREMENT, OR THE PERSON DOING THE DESIGN DIDN'T TYPE IN THE NUMBERS CORRECTLY BECAUSE WHEN IT CAME TIME TO DO THE INSTALLATION THE CABINETS WERE THE WRONG SIZE.

THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
