Brian at Hoffman Webber construction was awesome to work with through the whole process. Communication was outstanding every step of they way. He went above and beyond to step me through the process to make sure I understood every detail, from working with the insurance company and adjuster, as well the step to complete the hail damage. I would highly recommend Hoffman Weber for all your construction needs. I know they will be my go to company!!

Hoffman Weber Construction did an excellent job. I expected the work to be of high quality because I knew that they have a good reputation, but I didn't expect the incredible service and attention I received. There had to be thousands of houses across a couple cities with the same damage I got, so I figured naturally the whole process would take some time and I'd just have to be patient. I was working with Brian Thole from Hoffman during this whole process and thinking back, I don't think I had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a reply to anything I asked him. I have no idea how he juggled all the work he had from the storm, but he did without any issues whatsoever. My roof was one of the first ones fixed in my neighborhood, my siding done shortly after that, then the various small tasks were completed not long after that. The entire time I was getting calls from Hoffman Weber checking in to see if I had any needs or concerns, or to give me an update on when to expect certain things to happen. I noticed Brian stopped over quite frequently to make sure progress was being made and the work was being done well. One time I was outside to meet with him and he made mention that he had already put on several hundreds of miles on his car that morning (driving to check on all of his customers) and it was a Saturday. After the storm, I felt pretty overwhelmed with everything I had to do, but it turns out all I had to do was call my insurance to file a claim and hire Hoffman Weber. They took care of everything. I strongly recommend Hoffman Weber. They've put together a very impressive team of people and the work they do looks great!

Worst experience I have had with contractor in 37 years of home ownership. The job should have taken 3 days; instead it expanded to 3 months. I made multiple phone calls, emails, etc. Company was slow to respond if they responded at all. The roofer had medical issues and so was unavailable much of this time, and company did not notify me when he failed to arrive as scheduled due to his hospitalization, Despite being a large company, they apparently lack back up staff. Even the company manager chalked it up to "worse labor shortage in 25 years." It is not my fault if a company is so greedy for work that they happily take money, commit to a job, for which they have inadequate staff to complete. Poor communication by the company with me as well as within the company. Had I not been present , crucial information regarding a needed barrier to keep raccoons from damaging the new roof as they had the old roof would not have been passed along to the people actually doing the job by the persons overseeing the job. Due to deck furniture sitting on my lawn for 3 plus months, there was damage to my lawn. When the work was finally completed, company denied that they had agreed to replace the furniture on the deck, and I ended up hiring someone else to finish this detail of my project. I cannot believe they received a BBB award this past year. If this is a "best company" for home projects, then we as consumers are really in trouble.

So impressed with Joe who came out to give us an estimate on a roof repair. Another company told us we needed a whole new roof. Joe inspected and explained why a minor repair would do the job and the roof would last us 5 more years. While Hoffman Weber doesn’t do these minor roof repairs, his advice saved us a major expense. When we do need to replace the roof, or if we plan a remodel, we will definitely be turning to Hoffman Weber.

Amazing, the installer was invested in the look of the final product and worked very hard to make 1940's house look like a new build.

They did not answer calls promptly until I complained and complained. They took over a month to to finally install the roof after signing the contract. Although the salesperson promised our roof could be scheduled either the same week or the following week, we waited over a month. Every time the crews failed to turn up, no one called us -- I had to call. The crew did finally install the roof and they did a good job.

Working with Brian, Pete, and everyone else I came in contact with at Hoffman Weber was fantastic. Brian helped me pick out the windows I wanted and helped me find the right financing option. Pete had to work around another company working on our building, but was so great, even though the other company was being difficult with them. Joe and his partner, who installed the windows, were wonderful in helping me do all the finishing work, even after they had completed the window installation. I absolutely love my windows!!! I can hardly hear anything going on outside, which is wonderful for those of us who work nights. I have and will continue to recommend Brian and Hoffman Weber to anyone who will listen!!

If you go with this company, you will be glad you did. Follow-through was superb! The job looks wonderful, they even cleaned both sides of the glass! I can't tell you how impressed I am with the whole project from start to finish.

We hired Hoffman Weber to replace 4 windows in our master bedroom. After the initial consultation and contracting process, we worked directly with Pete (who I affectionately refer to as "Pete The Window Guy"). Pete is knowledgeable, kind, and very skilled at his craft. He took the time to explain what he was doing with my windows (since we were converting from a weighted double hung to a modern double hung window) which really put my mind at ease. We are very pleased with the outcome of our Beechworth Windows and will definitely be hiring Hoffman Weber again for the remaining windows in our house.

We found Hoffman Weber on the National Kitchen and Bath Remodeling Association's website. Our project began with a design consultation and from there we moved into renderings, floor plans, and contracting. The first phase of the project went well, I was pleased with the level of attention we received from Hoffman Weber. Budget was top of mind for us and our GC Phil Hide was very willing to work with us to tweak certain aspects of our project (like removing finishing work, demo, etc. from scope) to help us stay with in budget. The second phase of our project was plumbing, electrical, and framing. The contractors Hoffman Weber works with are high quality professionals and I can't say enough about the quality of their work. We worked closely with our project manager for day to day needs and continued to work with our GC Phil to select finishes (cabinets, countertops, etc.). I'm very pleased with how the second phase went and it was very fun to watch our project come along. The third phase of our project was installing cabinets, countertops, appliances, and finishing electrical items. We still worked very closely with our project manager during this phase but our GC Phil would come by after each installation to ensure everything was up to Hoffman Weber's quality standards. We did have a small delay during this phase due to an issue with one of the cabinets that was ordered. I contacted Phil and he was very quick to contact the cabinet maker and correct the situation. We didn't meet our goal completion date because of it but I'm very happy with the end result. All in all, I will hire Hoffman Weber again.

My name is Matt T. My wife Dawn and I live in Bloomington. I'm writing this favorable review specifically to address the character and integrity of Hoffman Weber and specifically its president, Hoffman, and one of its sales agents, Jason Iwig. An honest mistake concerning the cost of particular material resulted in an erroneous estimate. A supplier hadn't been clear in identifying the material as a specialty item with significantly greater cost. This resulted in a brief delay in communication concerning the start of the project, as Hoffman Weber was attempting to resolve the dilemma behind the scenes -- and yes I became bervous and irate. Even though the firm would have made little or no profit, and quite possibly would have lost money on the deal, they made assurances that the project would be completed to my satisfaction. However, we wanted the siding in preparation for listing our home, and we simply could not proceed even a few days with any uncertainty, as time was of the essence. Hoffman Weber had several ways to handle this unique situation. Much to their credit, they chose to leave it up to us as to how it would be handled, repeatedly expressing their concern for our best interests and satisfaction. We live in a world of self-interested opportunists, and I've become cynical after several bad experiences with fly-by-night contractors over the years. I'm compelled to write this review because Hoffman Weber and Jason Iwig blew me away. They are as solid and professional as they come. They are people who care about their reputations in the community in which they work and live. I will recommend them to friends and family going forward and we look forward to having a chance to do business with them again. Thanks.

I submitted a request for a meeting and quote from Hoffman Weber on their website, and heard from them very quickly. Phil Hide was my main contact person, and he also helped with the design of my home remodeling project. I gave him a budget, and he helped me with the selections and decisions I was making so that I would stay close to the number I had given him. He met me at the granite store to help me make my counter top selections. He was attentive, skilled, kind, knowledgeable, efficient. The tradesmen that came and worked in my home were respectful, talented, and hard working. Whenever there were concerns, I felt comfortable addressing them with Phil and the workers. I am thrilled with the way my home remodeling project turned out, and would definitely hire them again.

The estimate was for a kitchen renovation. They gave me a good estimate for about $14,000. The estimate was a quote second to the one that I used. I chose to go with the other company and not this company because it was about the cupboards. I have a typical kitchen that's in all Menard's flyers whenever they have a sale. It's just a typical, typical, L-shaped kitchen. I wasn't going to change anything. I didn't like the idea of having custom cabinets. I wanted to get some pre-made cabinets. I just felt like I could save money that way. That was the thing. It was just that.

Wonderful. We have an xtra large garage so cost is higher than average. I appreciated & was impressed by Bryan Thole. He was patient, always prompt in returning calls and keeping me up to date on weather & street construction delays. Highly recommend. HW.

Hoffman Weber Construction listened to my desires and helped me to design a dream classroom library complete with a rolling library ladder. I was very specific with what I envisioned for this remodel. The carpenter took copious notes, provided essential insight on my design plans, and made excellent suggestions for improving my design keeping what was most important to me as a central focus of the design. He also was kind, courteous, and communication was consistent and stress free. The carpenter also independently took into account that this would be in a middle school classroom environment and built the rolling library ladder to accommodate the needs of my students. The overall finished project is simply gorgeous and added much value to my classroom.

As someone who loves DIY projects, my wife and I decided we would reroof our own house. When the time came to rip up the shingles, we found that the entire decking needed to be replaced from water damage. In came Hoffman Weber Construction. The owner, Joe Hoffman, came out and checked out the damage. Within hours of him coming out to our house, the decking was ordered up and he informed us that he actually had a crew available the next day. Early the next morning, the decking was delivered and the crew was there bright and early as well. They worked hard all day to redeck the house and get it all ready for the roofing. WHAT A BLESSING!! The whole process in working with Hoffman Weber was fantastic! They were responsive, efficient, and performed fantastic work. I would recommend using them with confidence in any situation that required a construction contractor.

Hoffman Weber promised they were putting the necessary city permits in order and ensured everything was being taken care of so that they could start the job however they NEVER contacted the city and for more than 8 weeks they lied about what they were, and were not, doing on our behalf. Because we were under contract with them we had to go through the process of substantiating a breach of contract in order to get out from under the contract so that we could hire a company that would actually do the work as promised. Our attorney took all of the emails and phone messages that had been sent from Hoffman Weber and was able to prove that the vast majority of things they said they were doing on our behalf were not being done. After paying to draft the Notice of Breach, sending it certified, their legal department finally sent us a letter releasing us from their ONE SIDED contract. It goes without saying it was appalling to be treated in the manner we were treated and it also made it incredibly difficult to move on and get our home under construction.
