Hoffman Weber did some major exterior work on my neighbor's gorgeous home. It was clear that the crew worked very well and worked quickly. They cleaned things up and didn't have loud music, smoking, and stuff like that. I talked to my neighbors and they said they loved the company and recommended them. I had them give me an estimate for replacement windows. I was looking for specific windows from Marvin. It turned out that the windows I want are not available for just any contractor so HW could not buy and install them. They gave me an estimate for the Marvin window that they could buy and install. The estimate was a very fair price. I did not feel that they were low-balling. They were clear that there would be additional negotiations in the likelihood that there is a problem with rot or something.I went to a showroom to look at the window that we would buy and had seen the original Marvin window that we wanted. I did not like the look of the available window compared to one we had wanted. So we chose to go with a company that can supply and install that window.

Hoffman Weber and its sales representative James were extremely helpful during the negotiation to purchase our new home. We used the professional guidance from James and Joe Hoffman to get the much needed roof replacement with the best quality products. There was some competiton from the home sellers personal contacts, but Joe Hoffman reassured me that the product and the job would be done within budget and ahead of the deadline. Hoffman Weber and their crew delivered everything as promised. During the roof project we acquired about gutters. We found their rates to most competitive and the gutter specialist matched the color with our home perfectly. At my previous home they also did new windows along with the siding and roof. I will comment in another post regarding that project.

This was our second time working with Hoffman Weber as we were hit by a second hail storm, twice within a year. We were very pleased with their services the first time we decided to expand the roof, siding and gutter repair to also getting brand new windows throughout the house. They once again delivered exceptitional and timely customer service and they completely the entire project on time and under budget. We had a very friendly relationship with their work crew as they had to work inside and outside of our home. They took care of all major interactions with our insurance adjuster. They also did a great job of educating us on our window selections.

This was our first interaction with Hoffman Weber. They gave us piece of mind when they took control with our insurance adjuster. They communicated very well with us and they completely the project within budget and on schedule.

Salesman Nate was very courteous and prompt. Roofing work was begun and finished when promised. Some of the gutter work was delayed due to a scheduling mix-up, but it was not critical and was eventually completed. Krista in the office worked with my insurance and mortgage companies to process the claims checks. Overall, a very satisfying experience for me.

We had them out for an estimate and they did some work for insurance. It was a slow process because of the approvals. We were back and forth with the insurance company. The work was completed after an analysis of what was necessary because of the leaking after the ice dam. The work was done about three weeks ago. There were ongoing things determining what should be done, approvals and so forth for a good two months. The final bill from them was $1200. After it was all done, it was a reasonable amount of time and they did well. However, rushing into something is not a good idea and it’s not like fixing a flat tire. I would rate them real high. They get back and analyze; they don’t just jump on something and do it. I am comparing them to others in the industry. I am not comparing them to a store where you have service that is done immediately. It’s hard to find the right people doing the right things in that industry and they back their work. We had nothing else to compare their price to. Someone else might have not done it well or they might not have made an analysis. We didn’t really know if they were able to know the complete thing because it was a leaking problem. We are not going to know for years. Their quality was good. They matched everything real nicely. They were very neat and clean. They did roofing and they cleaned up the nails and stuff. They weren’t able to come when they were supposed to.

They were phenomenal. The customer service was great. The installers cleaned up after themselves. They ordered the wrong pictured windows, but were happy to fix it immediately. Although, they did come late a few times we were happy with their service.

They did an excellent job. One thing I particularly liked is that they completed the job in one day and the cleanup was excellent. There were no nails or pieces of shingle anywhere in the yard after they were done. The quality of shingles was much better than what I had on the house. My neighbor up hill form me looks down on my house from his balcony and has commented about the great quality. Can't comment on the price -- after talking with the salesman I decided to go with them and cancelled the other estimates I had scheduled. No regrets.

Overall, things went OK, with the exception of a flashing installation over a bay window. The estimation process was tedious and the estimater made too many trips out, which I had to be here for. The majority of the trips were to look at and discuss some fascia boards that I requested replacement on. He must have taken 20 pictures, and in the end, 3 boards were replaced, after he tried to upsell me to replace all of the fascia and eaves with aluminum for an extra $6000. It was an $8000 re-shingle job, but I felt I was haggled and things were drug out un-necessarily by the facia boards. The other estimates that I got took an hour, and the fascia boards were barely discussed. They had no problem replacing as many as needed replacing. At the end of the project, I was dissatified with the workmanship on the flashing over a bay window, and expressed this. The workman-ship of the flashing install is poor, looks like h***... I think I could have done a better job myself. When I brought it up, I was told that there was nothing that could be done, short of removing the siding from that area, installing the flashing under the siding, and replacing the siding at additional cost. I chose not to do this, because of the extra cost of replacing and repainting the siding. But I think it should have been raised as an issue during the estimate. The rest of the roofing was done well. In the end, the other estimates that I got were $300-$400 more, but I wish I had gone with one of them, just to save all the hassle.

I would say they did really well. I have some neighbors and they have a real concern. They picked everything, when they did the job close to the house. Their clean up was very good. They did the work in one day. It was a very big team. I have referred them to other people. My sister is getting the roof done from them.

The main part of the job was done very quickly once they started (which was a few days later than originally arranged because they didn't yet have the windows--they kept us informed of this). They had the job almost entirely done in a week (last time we got the house sided it took MUCH longer). There were a few problems that took them a while to fix after that (an awning and an outside light replaced in the wrong place) but they did get to those. They worked extremely hard to get the main job done quickly, and we are very pleased with the results.

Hoffman Weber had to pull back the rock underneath our addition in order for a man to get under it to make the repair. They then tore out the existing buffalo board underneath the addition, which was smelling from too much moisture/being so close to the ground, plus it had holes in it. They pulled out all the insulation and cleaned out unnecessary debris. We thought were would be mold, but—gratefully—there wasn’t so we didn’t need to treat it with a disinfectant. They installed new insulation, vapor barrier, and plywood on the addition and painted the exterior plywood . They cleaned up and hauled away all work related debris. This is our second time using Hoffman Weber, and we remain very pleased with their work, staying in touch, answering questions and accommodating special requests. The whole process was stress free, which we are very grateful for. SPECIAL NOTE: We are a chemically sensitive family and requested formaldehyde-free insulation as well as formaldehyde-free plywood. They were very happy to accommodate these special requests.

Joe gave us an estimate to put a new roof on our house in 2005. We supplied the materials and he supplied the crew. All was done efficiently and professionally. Clean up after was great. At my request, they even painted all the vents and stacks with spray paint I had purchased so the metal would match the color of the shingles. Now 5 years later, we noticed a metal flashing piece had come loose. We called Joe and he responded right away. He came out when we were available to be home in case he needed to check the attic for water. He climbed the roof, checked out the area, checked around the spot as well as the entire roof for anything else that might be amiss. He said a nail popped out, probably due to a good wind gust. He put a new nail in and put caulk on it to seal it again. He was great explaining how the shingles & flashing were laid in that area. He said there is no concern for water damage or entry into the house, although he had prepared us before he came and told us he may need to go into the attic to see if any water had come in. That was based on our description of the situation to him over the phone. Joe is very professional and personable. His crew was great laying the roof. He did follow-up when the job was done to make sure we were happy. Great customer service. Even though we contacted him 5 years after the job was done, he had no problems checking out our recent concern and then fixing it himself. He wouldn't accept payment for the work. Joe Hoffman stands behind his work! We strongly recommend Joe Hoffman and Hoffman-Weber Construction.

Because of Angie?s List reports, we felt confident Hoffman Weber would do a good job so after getting their estimate, which we felt good about, we went ahead with the work. There was a lapse of about six months between the estimate and the work due to our budget, and there was no additional charge/cost for this delay. From the first time the salesman contacted us until the work was completed, the salesman was excellent about staying in touch, answering questions, willing to accommodate in whatever way we needed. When the work was scheduled, the workers were here as scheduled, and did an excellent job (including great clean-up) as well as being very courteous and helpful with any questions we had. I am so happy to report the whole process was enjoyable/stress free. Hoffman Weber Construction did all the work for us?from staying in touch to doing a great job. SPECIAL NOTE: We are a chemically sensitive family so we needed extra consideration as far as the kind of paint we used, and?also?we requested that the workers not wear cologne and use the non-toxic mosquito repellent we provided. The salesman?as well as the workers?were very respectful, and happy to accommodate these requests. This was very much appreciated!

I worked with the Project Manager extensively on a quote. He and I worked hard to turn into reality my somewhat foggy vision. He supervised each leg of the project, followed up on each detail and brought my attention to details I had not thought of. The workmanship was of highest quality and done expediently. The result is breathtaking. Each and every workman was considerate, informative and amiable. These are fine, honest and hardworking people. cabin: couldn't have gone any smoother...crew arrived on time....worked hard and we are very pleased. (I am a little fuzzy as to the exact date & terribly remiss in writing this update....but it was important to me to recognize this fine company & "better late than never". Right?

Our experience was fine. It is an excellent company. We are very pleased with them. They did an excellent job on our siding and roof and some minor little things that needed to be corrected they took care of immediately.

I felt that they were very knowledgeable and professional. They were able to follow through on what they said they were going to do. They went beyond what I had expected from them. Everything turned out well. I was very satisfied with their work.

We got quotes from 5 contractors that were all A rated and locally owned. We did not want to use anyone that subcontracted work out. Out of the 5 quotes we received, Hoffman Weber was similar to all of the others. The quality of the material and the presentation were the deciding factor. They began the work when scheduled and completed the roofing first. The next week they were here with the siding crew. The workmanship was very good and they were very thorough in their clean up. There were some minor problems that they were very quick respond to and completed within a day or two of emailing them. Overall, the company was great to work with and did an excellent job.

My house needed a complete makeover badly. Joe Hoffman, salesman and owner, was very courteous, polite, professional, helpful, and respectful for what I wanted yet willing to offer new ideas. He was punctual, efficient and offered an accurate, detailed estimate of $25000 for the siding, shingles and eleven casement windows. The cost was very reasonable. After hiring Joe he was always easy to get a hold of and kept me informed on what was going down with the job. Joe's men not only did an excellent job on my house and cleaned up after themselves, but were very helpful and respectful of my infant childcare business that I was still able to keep going. This is a great company to work with. I am so happy and excited with the new, beautiful look of my home that I am hiring them to landscape it as well.
