Hoffman Weber Construction

Hoffman Weber construction is a very professional company. The company did everything with the insurance company on our behalf. Tim the field agent was patient and took the time to explain everything in detail. Everything was done well and completed in a timely manner. The people dealing with billing and schedule were professional and courteous. We are very satisfied with the service they provided and would recommend them to anyone. The fact that they do all the work with the insurance company was invaluable and highly recommend that route. They will go line by line on the insurance paperwork and explain the details of the work being done.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We met with him for a consultation and his estimate was too expensive. He was a very friendly and very nice guy. His services were more on the higher end that we could not handle that. He was very professional and knew his work. He was a very smart person. At one time he never showed up and he said that he was sick.

Very responsive, we had some scheduling issues which they took care of right away and they were very proactive offering to refund our initial payment for the inconvenience. They are coming out this week with an estimate.

I was not satisfied with this company because I did not feel that they were willing to work with me and my budget.

They were thorough and cleaned the premises well. Lee Arnold did a good job finding a replacement for my old skylight that was no longer available.

Overall the whole process went very well. My Representative Lee did a super job of working with my insurance company on my behalf, and was very prompt and professional. The crew did a first rate job on the install, and Lee came out to personally inspect the job once complete.

Replaced shingles on large rambler roof and large detached garage.

They were out pretty quickly afterwards. They were nice and professional. They came on time to the house. I was happy for what they did. They told they would charge $500 for the estimate. I got a spreadsheet of everything they would do and how the prices broke down, if they were to do the work. I enjoy working with them. They are a good company.

New Update: As I know this review is old - I will continue to remind people about my terrible experience with HW! Even after calling the top management to explain my frustration and posting on Angie's list - Still no follow up. This is the only bad review of a company I have ever pursued - I just struggle paying $12,000 for product/service that should have lasted SEVERAL years, only to be replaced a year later again at my cost! Breaking it down $1,000/mo (by the time the roof was replaced) for a roof is unacceptable. To then have the company ignore and disregard my contacts - I am sure HW is just hoping I will disappear..... Additional Update.... I am updating again as I am amazed with the continued POOR service from this company. Since my last update - the company did call as a result to my "follow Up" conversation. Yes - they called and then did not leave contact information for me to call back. They did state they would call back when talking to my son - NO SURPRISE.... No follow up. I can't make this up - which is why I am so frustrated with this company. What a waste - I guess they have my $12,000, the roof they put on only lasted 10 months, why would they care about me!!!!! UPDATE... I felt I needed to update my review after seeing the response from Hoffman Weber. I noticed the December post where they stated "expect a call later this afternoon" - No Shock, I did not receive a call! I did however receive a call the end of last week (almost 8 months later) from Hoffman Weber, calling to come out and see how our experience was as well as make an appt. to look at the roof. They must not look at job history before making that call. I informed him that we no longer had the roof they installed. That roof was already replaced (1 year to the day) so there was nothing to see. The roof they installed was damaged in a storm - so we basically spend $1000/mo for their roof. I also explained my experience and the terrible customer service we had received. I was told that he was sorry and would relay my experience (again). Needless to say - No Follow up - Just proves again my comments on this company. We have used many other companies for remodeling projects to our home. I only have great things to say about them, which is why I am so frustrated with Hoffman Weber. ORIGINAL MESSAGE... Worst Service I have every experienced from the Salesman all the way to the General Manager. The salesman came out to the house and promised us plenty that was not followed through on. * He said he would over see the project from start to finish - never saw him again * He said they would take a sample of our old shingles and have them tested to see if the organic material used was that of the company found to have faulty shingles. - they took the shingles (only after we followed up with them again as we saved some of the shingles for ourselves). Not only was there zero follow up, we followed up the request all the way to the General Manager and still did not receive a response. There was not one follow up once the roofing was complete. We never hurt back if Hoffman Weber received money back from the original roofing materials company. This money should have been returned to us as we paid for the service in full. After the roof was finished, there was a big rain storm - the roof leaked! * After several calls to the company, they sent a painter to the house to assess the damage. She was the only professional person we encountered during this entire experience. Her company was Robin Brooks Designs. I highly recommend her! * They had a worker come out to patch the area where the roof leaked. He was on the roof for 2 hours. After he left, looking up on the roof we saw chunks of caulk in random areas - it looked tacky! We have made several calls to the company to try and receive the service we paid for. We even talked directly to the General Manager who asked why I was calling him. I explained that we were told from his office Manager to call him as a result of the terrible service we had received. Needless to say, the service never improved! We have done a lot of remodeling over the years - I am shocked as to the service we experienced with this company and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!

The company fit us into their schedule on short notice (it is late fall and snow will soon be here). I received 2 calls from the actual provider alerting me to when he would be able to be on site. He was professional, courteous, and helped us identify a problem with a second area (a shower vent that was improperly connected). The service was completed within 24 hrs of the original call to the company. I believe our problem is fixed, and assuming it is, I am exceptionally happy with the service.

After comparing ratings and quotes of a number of Angie's List window and siding contractors, we decided on Hoffman Weber. We contracted to replace 7 windows (including a large bay window) and reside the entire house and garage with vinyl siding. In short, the quality of products (Lindsay Windows and Mastic Quest Signature Vinyl siding) is terrific, with lifetime warranties on both the products and workmanship. The quality of the workmanship, professionalism of the installers and attention to detail were superior. Will use again to replace additional windows as needed.

They were to provide a kitchen design which they did. However, the designer did not listen to our choices for color, style, layout or price. The estimate was twice what we had talked about and this did not include a dishwasher which we specifically mentioned.

Absolutely excellent work, attention to detail, thorough workmanship, including clean-up. They provided a quality control specialist to aid the roofing crew, take pictures for the city building inspector and keep us very well-informed on the progress of the job. Highly recommended!

So far, just a free estimate. They came when they said they would, climbed up to view the roof which others did not do, and discussed options; friendly and professional. Their bid also looks reasonable compared with the others.

Once the project began, the crew worked from sunrise to sunset in the worst heat of the summer. They were a hardworking crew and did quality work. They did a great job of cleaning up every evening and even better once the project was completed.

We were 100% satisfied with everything. Their cost was reasonable and under other estimates we received. They came to the area after the storm and got to us right away. They completed the work in the shortest period of time possible. We liked the quality of their materials. The representative we worked with was fun and professional. We really liked working with him.

Their service was great and we are very happy with them. They did a very good job and it only took a week to finish the house. They were very efficient and cleaned up well. I would recommend them to anyone.

The work went well. We didn’t have any problems with them. They completed the roof in about few days. They were punctual and cleaned up well.

Their service was great and we had no issues. Their communication with me was great and they kept me posted every step of the way. They helped me work with my insurance company. The employees were all very friendly.

I was very pleased with them. The men were very willing to work with me on everything and communicated very well. The sub-contractors they used for HVAC and electrical were very good too. The vents had to be put in the floor and the HVAC people did such a great job that I didn’t have to replace that part of the floor. They were here on time. They had to come back a couple times and always showed up exactly when they said. Their price was competitive and their service was very good.

Their service was excellent. Their follow up was great. They thought it would take two days, but they were finished in one day. The crew was professional and cleaned up well. There were a few minor issues that they came back and fixed after the fact.

They arrived right on time the day of the appointment. They tore off existing roofing, installed underlayment, valleys, replaced existing venting system, replaced plumbing stacks,resealed everything. The cleaned up all the old roofing materials and removed it. This is a house we rent to adult children and I came over to see how everything was going. I had a rug shampoer with me and was having trouble pushing it over the debris from the old roof and one of the men working on the roof saw me struggling with the machine and picked it up for me and brought into house. I thought that was so nice of him. The city inspector found a minor thing wrong and Hoffman Weber corrected it in a timely fashion. The roof looks very nice now.

Everything went as planned. They came out when they said they would and completed the new roof the same day. There were no surprises and I received everything I was promised. The roofers did a great job and the product manager I worked with couldn't have been more helpful. He handled everything. The construction Company dealt with my insurance company when there were issues or questions. That made it so much easier for me. I didn't owe a penny more than what I was told I would owe. I would recommend this Company to anyone with confidence.

It cost $400 above our deductible because we chose additional add on features for the roof shingles. They were fantastic to work with.
