The workers arrived on time and did an excellent job. There were a couple hiccups. They ordered the wrong brand/color of aluminum wrap that was sent to the job site, but promptly went out and got the right stuff and still finished in about four hours. They were professional and efficient. Another issue was rectified immediately by Joe to my 100% satisfaction. Joe is a pleasure to work with and he will do whatever it takes to please his customer. We have recommended him to our friends on many occasions, all with great feedback. We appreciate Joe's professionalism and integrity. He is an honest business owner and always stands by his word. If you need to get you roof or siding replaced, Hoffman Weber is the BEST!

The owner Joe Hoffman, promptly rectified the matter and adjusted his bill to reflect the quote, even though this resulted in personal loss for Hoffman Weber. Joe is a pleasure to work with and he will do whatever it takes to please his customer. We have recommended him to our friends on many occasions, all with great feedback. The team that showed up was timely. The roofing team was well managed and completed the project within a day. Their cleanup was thorough and we were very pleased with the final product. The window installer was helpful, professional and provided guidance when we requested his opinion. We found the windows to be of superior quality. The siding team was very professional, they worked extremely hard to complete our project within the expected timeframe. Even when faced with unique construction in this 1947 home, the workers problem-solved with the materials on hand to complete the project. Without reservation, I will recommend Hoffman Weber to anyone for any project. Thank you guys!

My husband and I somehow have energy bills that are much higher on average than our neighbors according to the energy company. So we're interested in adding insulation to our home and possibly replacing some windows plus two patio doors. Before spending the money, we thought it would be smart to do a home energy audit first to see if it is worth the investment. We are generally comfortable in our home, but it seems we are overpaying to keep it that way. There are several energy audits offered by Excel, which is what we were initially going to have done. However, my husband was referred by a colleague to Hoffman Weber Construction who had some attic insulation put in his home by the company over the winter. Since they offered free estimates and we heard the work was done well (he told my husband his bills have significantly improved), we scheduled an appointment to them to come out and give us a quote. A gentleman from the company called to confirm the appointment and my husband asked what they do specifically to know how much insulation is needed. He told him he typically starts with a consultation and asks questions to determine why we believe insulation is needed, then checks for moisture issues and performs and attic inspection. My husband asked about the Excel Energy audit, and the guy mentioned their company is putting together a new service that is very similar and offered us the program for free if we'd allow them to do our inspection as training for some of their reps. We agreed and had them come over yesterday to do everything. They started with a blower door test which helps determine how much air our home is leaking, which was a shocking amount (81 inches - basically like a big hole in the wall we can't see). One gentleman who seemed to be the most knowledgable of the group showed us how it takes the measurements and explained everything very well. They went around with what looked like speed detection guns, but were used to show infrared. They figured out that our electric fireplace chimney had a significant issue that could be resolved with some insulation. They also showed us how much air each bathroom fan and air duct was actually flowing out compared to what is code. Overall, it was very educational for my husband and I and every person that involved from Hoffman Weber was courteous and respectful. They gave a quote on the insulation and windows, and we are currently looking into financing options. When/if we are able to afford it, we will be delighted to have this company come back out for the actual projects.

I called to get a bid for a new roof on a rental property. I am a real estate investor, and I happen to be female. I made the appointment for the estimate. Later that same day, the appointment setter called me back to ask if I was a "co-owner" of the property, and if so, would HE (referring to the other owner) be there to meet the contractor as well. Now, lets turn the tables. Can you imagine a man calling a construction company to set up a time for an estimate, and then the construction company calls him back later that day to randomly question him about ownership, and to see if someone of the other gender will be present? They assumed that because I am a woman I must not own a property by myself, and further, because I am a woman, I must not be the decision maker when it comes to construction-related things like a roof replacement. Needless to say, I canceled the estimate. If they don't have respect a potential customers enough to give me an estimate without asking if a man will be present, then I am sure they would not respect me enough to be fair regarding the price. Besides, I don't like to give business to sexists companies with poor values and backwards attitudes about women.

At first, my husband and I were impressed and pleased with the service of this company. However, we cleaned our gutters for the first time this fall and noticed that one of them was retaining water and falling away from the house so that water would not flow out of the gutter. I called Hoffman Weber four times to receive help and service on this before finally hearing a response back: this was over the course of a month and a half. Finally, someone did come out to take pictures in December and since then - after commenting that the particular gutter was indeed, curved and falling away from the house - there has been silence. I have left several messages with the manager and have never heard a response back. I would never recommend Hoffman Weber to anyone, especially knowing that they'll show-up for the upfront $'s but then never be held accountable once they've been paid. I want a company that stands behind their product and service and Hoffman Weber does not.

Consultation and follow-up went well. The plan reflected exactly what I had communicated we wanted done, and the sample materials fit in well with the rest of our design and home materials. We decided not to move forward with the remodel for reasons not related to the service provider.

As a follow-up the owner of the company called to apologize for his employee's bad service on this and offered to make it right. As I had the work completed by another contractor. I could not offer him any other work for him to do at this time. I did appreciate the follow-up call and his apology.

I contacted them in regards to getting an estimate on a new deck being put onto my house. After being called a couple times I was told they wont even do the job, NOT EVEN COME OUT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE, as their website states. They asked before declining to even learn more about what I needed, I was putting windows or a roof on my house. When I responded no, they told me they weren't going to do it, keep in mind we had talked for a total of less then 3 minutes!! HORRIBLE business practice. Am I planning to put windows on my house in the near future, sure....had they done my deck and done it well, would I have gone with them? Probably, but I'll be happy to give my money to another company...

He said he was with Owens Corning, and said he uses "digital analysis" to check for damage. When I asked him to tell me more about the digital analysis, he said that he takes pictures with his smartphone camera, and looks at the pictures. What a stretch! I wondered what I could trust from this company, with two false or misleading statements in the first minute of the visit. He was friendly, and was careful in honoring my request not to scratch my gutters with his ladder (which previous roofing salesmen had done). Even though he didn't find any significant damage to the roof, I wouldn't have hired this company based on my experience today.

The job a long time to complete. I wasn't happy with that. But, when I was going to sell the house the potential buyers had a question about the repairs. Hoffman Weber came over to the house, on very short notice, to assure the buyer that their repair was sound and that they would stand behind their warranty. I really appreciated that. They redeemed themselves.

The guy they sent out was great and gave us a lot of good information, but we weren't ready to start the project yet and just wanted to get an idea of how much it would cost.

After some initial gaps in communication with the first project manager assigned to our contract, Bobby Spindler took over and communicated with us in a consistently professional and timely way. The work crews worked very Hard in some challenging weather, putting on three beautiful roofs. We were especially delighted with our new steel, stone coated metal roof which has the look of cottage shingles. It draws many appreciative comments in the neighborhood. When we pointed out some minor damage to the siding of the garage during roofing, it was quickly and effectively rectified to our complete satisfaction. We are very pleased with the final results and would definitely recommend Hoffman Webber.

It was an awesome experience. Joe came out and spotted prior storm damage that we didn't know we had. He met with the insurance adjuster and got everything taken care of for us. On the day of the work their crew should up as I was leaving for work. By the time I got home at the end of the day is was done and you couldn't even tell any one had been there because the job site was so clean. The only proof was a beautiful new roof. From beginning to end they were awesome. We will certainly use them again if needed and we tell all our friends and family about them.

We love our new roof--from the color, to the quality. We have had fewer water or mildew problems on outside of house since the new gutters and drains were placed. NO problems with gutter covers! They worked perfectly, even with tons of leaves and twigs this past year! No ice dams this past winter either.

I contacted Hoffman Weber about repairing siding on my house that had been damaged during the winter. I initially reached out on Monday, as a general inquiry, and due to their timely responses, great pricing, and flexible scheduling, I had the siding on my house repaired by Monday morning. They stayed in contact with me the entire way and ensured that the color and brand matched exactly. The siding look just as it did the day it was initially installed. Thanks again Hoffman Weber!

I hired Hoffman Weber to install the new roof on my home in Minneapolis a few years back. The salesman and staff were professional and friendly, and the work was done on time. My new roof still looks great! I will definitely recommend them in the future.
