About us

At Hiway Credit Union (Hiway), we offer a full line of affordable banking products, convenient delivery options and exceptional personal service to meet your individual needs. We were founded in 1931 to serve the employees of the Minnesota Highway Department. Today, we serve over 78,000 members in Minnesota and around the country. We are a community-based credit union and welcome new members who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in the seven-county metro area: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington, their relatives and household members.

Car buying service is excellent. They found me a late model used car according to my specifications, but it ended up not passing their inspection, so they found one that did. The service doesn't cost anything, and the car was everything I was looking for. I do all my banking with Hiway. I use online banking. I don't live close to Hiway, but they are affiliated with other credit unions, like Top Line, which is close by. When I call Hiway, a real person answers and transfers me to the dept. I need. Never again will I be without credit union membership. It's the way to go.
Description of Work: I've been a member for 15 years. I have checking, savings, car loans, line of credit.

They're small, and when you call them, you talk to a person. You get very personal service.
