Description of Work: I never had the chance to review Highland Electric's "work" as they were not interested in my business. Highland Electric's website boldly advertises 24 hour/emergency service. So when I had such an situation on a Saturday afternoon I placed two phone calls to HE and left messages but received no reply until Monday morning. At that time, I was told they would have someone available in 10 days to address my issue. I explained that half my house was with out power, including my kitchen, and that 10 days in the dark would not "work" for me. Clearly, Highland Electric's definition of 24hour\emergency service is different than mine. I pose this question to them: how is a customer to trust them as a company if you can't even trust them to stand by their advertised word.

Description of Work: We hired Highland Electric to add 9 outdoor soffit lights, 1 security light, replace an existing defective outdoor outlet, re-mount 2 decorative lights and to reattach existing electric utilities as part of an overall siding replacement project. They arrived on-time, worked steadily, and did a beautiful job at a reasonable and competitive price. They handled all the permitting and their work passed all the inspections the first time around. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: I had my electrical panel upgraded and some other minor work done. The technician Don was very professional and organized. He worked very efficiently. Although the prices were a little higher, I went with Highland based on recommendations from friends and would use them again.

Description of Work: Highland's estimate was $1000+ more than the other 2 I got for this project. They have a neighborhood reputation for doing good work, but also for being more expensive. I hired another company.

Description of Work: I left the company a message about installing a hardwired smoke detector and they did never return my call.

Description of Work: Installed a lighted medicine cabinet. Repaired an electrical outlet. Brought some wiring up to code. Note, the price above is approximate. I don't have the bill in front of me. It was $110-130.

Description of Work: ADDED RECEPTACLES AND CIRCUITS. ALSO REPAIRED WIRES FOR A BEDROOM CEILING LIGHT.
