HANNEMANN REMODELING

Description of Work: We hired Hannemann Construction to open up a doorway to our upstairs and to add a closet in our upstairs attic. This was after he installed a basketball hoop, fixed our fence and part of our garage to our satisfaction. We were pleased with the work he did up-front and that is why he hired him. In addition to this, he was recommended by our local hardware store which is usually very reputable. He was to do the work while we were gone on vacation. He said it would take about a week. We came home after two and a half weeks to the job about 1/2 done, or perhaps slightly more than half. The house was pretty dirty and we found paint drippings on blankets and drywall mud in our sinks. We found garbage in the yard, the house and cigarette ashes in the basement bathroom trash can. I was having bad visions of what went on inside the house while we were gone. In any case, we thought we could move forward letting him know our concerns. It took a week or two for him to come over and go over the details to be fixed and the upcoming schedule. He told me several times he'd be coming to finish up- never came. I called the company making our closet doors (so I could order the door hardware correctly), and the doors had not been ordered (though he told us in July they were). It is now end of August and we have had no more work done and I see no end in sight. So, the quality of work is very average- better on the drywall, pretty poor on the finish carpentry. I'm afraid I may be doing the rest of the work myself, or finding some one else who can.
