They are good. I like them.

The work they did was excellent, they were very prompt and professional. They did what they said they would do.

They wouldn't stand by their work when the cable popped because it was too small of a cable as the tree grew a little bit it was too much weight for the cable and it snapped and you think they would come back and put another one in that is the right size but they wouldn't.

Horribly. This company is completely miserable to work with. of course, I did not chose them. My mortgage I took out through a mortgage broker was sold to them. I refinanced to a new loan this spring and i have had nothing but issues with this company. They automatically deducted a June payment even after my loan was paid in full. It took them three weeks to rectify the situation. I have not yet (5 weeks later) been able to obtain a statement of my escrow to check exactly where my funds are. They claim they paid the county taxes out of my escrow but the county in which I live said Green Tree did not pay the taxes, the title company for my new loan did so. I can't get a straight answer out of anyone. Did I mention that they can not manage get me a statement of my escrow? The are either the most idiotic and underskilled group of people I have ever worked with. Or they are crooks. I tend to think it is the latter.

The staff is very good. They are very punctual. They do a good job at a resonable price and they are hard working.

The 2nd installment of my property taxes were not paid out of our escrow account from Green Tree Servicing. We call them to inquire about the payment. Customer service says its the tax department and tax department blames customer service. 2 hours later I was told they will look into the situation. A few days go by with no call back. We call to find out what has been done. We are told in order to have them pay our property taxes out of our escrow account we needed to send them the tax bill and they would send out the payment. That was over a month ago. We received a letter in the mail today telling us that a tax lien has been placed on my house due to unpaid property taxes. We call up green tree servicing and they tell us the "check is in the mail". The next kicker is that they say our escrow account will be charged the penalties and our escrow payment will be adjusted to make up for the additional costs. I can dispute this but only in writing and they will get back to me. I asked for a supervisor and the lady tells us "he is only going to tell you the same thing". We then say "well get me his supervisor". She says, "He will just hand the phone to one of us to say the same thing" WHAT A JOKE THIS COMPANY IS!

They are terrible! Bank of America was a wonderful mortgage company. Green Tree calls weekly to remind about mortgage payments, even though payments are ahead of schedule. The customer service representatives are harassing and unprofessional. I eventually had to block their number from calling my home. I hope to refinance soon to get rid of them as my mortgage holder. They are awful.

Shortly after we closed on the loan, we sold our previous home and had a sizeable amount to pay toward the new mortgage. We called Green Tree to determine the best way to send in the principal payment. They told us to wait until we got the first statement in the mail. We did that, and submitted the payment coupon with a large check. Much to our surprise, the on-line statements started appearing inaccurate. After several calls, it was determined that they had applied our payment to our loan but also another payment from another client, essentially closing our mortgage. The supervisor on the phone actually gave me the name of the other party. It has taken 8 months to rectify this situation and we still aren't straight. Along the way we were granted permission to close our escrow account but now they are saying the escrow is short because of some transfers they did to fix the first problem. Overall, we are completely frustrated with Green Tree Servicing. They have done nothing to ensure our account is correct and that we are satisfied. Every phone call ends with "and your next payment is due on ___." We went into this loan with excellent credit and are treated as if we are about to default. Over the first few months of this loan, their inaccuracies caused their systems to generate letters to us ranging from essentially, "your loan is paid in full" to "you are late on your payment" although we have never been late. With perfect hindsight, we should have never gone with the local bank who told us they would be selling the mortgage, regardless of the perceived personal service or reasonable rates.

We felt the interest rate we received was a little high, however, we would not hesitate to use them again.

Horrible. They call 2-3x weekly. To tell me a new extension for a new person handling my loan, to try to get me to refi, to harass me about a payment that I've paid via online banking. And if you're late making a payment, prepare for harassing phone calls up to 10x daily. I'm not talking very late either-- they will start calling the day after your due date, and the won't stop (not even on weekends). Avoid them if you can. I'm going to the trouble of refinancing now,just to get a new servicing company.

They answered all our questions. They helped us with making sure we had everything covered. They respond better via email than with a phone call.

They had a lot of contacts during the process and they took their time to explain things which was very helpful. It was fairly painless and it was all done through the internet.

When our bank transferred our loan to them our payments went up. It's not that great in some peoples eyes but every time your payments go up. It went up about $2 or $3 and we assume it was just about them changing through a different company. The staff there had been pretty nice and respectful.

My father passed away on Mother's day of this year. I contacted the two mortgage companies regarding his mortgage and faxed them the legal documentation regarding his death (death certificate, etc.) The other mortgage holder, CitiMortgage, and the county clerk's office in Bernalillo County accepted the legal documentation that I had. Green Tree would not accept it. They expressed how "sorry" they were, but ultimately determined that the legal documentation regarding my father's death was insufficient. They have taken a very difficult situation and made it ten times worse. If you are approached to get a mortgage from Green Tree Mortgage, my advice is RUN! Run fast and tun far, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS company - they could care less about you or your situation.

It’s a mortgage servicing company. Our mortgage got bought out. So, our mortgage was handed off to Green Tree Servicing. We had been with them for 3 months and it was 3 months of horrible mess. We had asked for the pay off amount. I could never get a person on the phone to get the pay off amount for my loan. I know that the bank tried to get the pay off amount for my loan and tried to get it in writing because they had to do whatever they had to do. From day one when I was told that Green Tree Servicing was going to be my new mortgage company, all I received was a piece of paper with my name and address which anybody in the world can get. That paper said that I had to send my bill and the amount to a particular address. I didn’t want to send any kind of money. So, I called them up and I even went to the bank that provided the loan to find out if it was a scam or not. The guy at the bank couldn’t even find anything. I was supposed to send my mortgage to somebody out of the blue. Every payment we sent, we sent it certified with a return receipt to make sure that they would get it. It happened in the middle of the month and we weren’t able to get an answer from anybody. Our original paperwork had said that I would have a 15-day leniency until it’s considered late. They said that if it wasn’t there on the first, then I would get a late fee. In the meantime, I was trying to find out if it was a scam, but no one could really even tell me if it was or it wasn’t. I tried to change the due dates and I got a letter back saying no. I wanted to pay them the bill. I went to the bank and asked them if I had to pay the bank or to Green Tree Servicing, but the bank couldn’t even tell me. Green Tree Servicing asked me to pay them and I didn’t know them. So, it was a matter of bad timing and poor customer service. We finally got someone on the phone and my husband was on the phone with them for an hour and a half. It was just like passing the phone from one person to another person. By the end of the phone call, my husband got no more answers. We spent a lot of time trying to make sure about this. I don’t have an extra mortgage payment to just be paying people. I couldn’t wait to refinance and that’s why we refinanced with another company to get rid of Green Tree Servicing. I wouldn’t use them again if I had a choice.
