Goodmanson did a real good job.

Goodmanson's rep. (Mel) came out as scheduled for the estimate. We took several measurements and he gave me a written quotation before he left. The day before Goodmanson started, Rick came out to verify the exact placement of the driveway and marked everything with paint for his crew. He also noted that there would be an elevation difference between one of the existing sidewalk slabs and the new driveway. We agreed that he would remove one chunk of the old sidewalk and pour a new one (at the same sq. ft. price as the drive). They also moved and piled up a section of gravel that I wanted to keep for landscaping at no additional charge. The drive was poured the next day and on the 2nd day was saw cut. When I came home the 2nd day I was surprised and very pleased to see that they had built up around the drive with back dirt and grass seed as well as sealing the concrete (this had not been mentioned but was a very nice touch). Dealing with Goodmanson was an excellent experience throughout.

MERLE WAS GOING TO COME BACK THIS SUMMER. IT IS NOW THE MIDDLE OF OCTOBER, AND I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN HIM. LAST WEEK I CALLED HIM. HE SAID HE HADN'T FORGOTTEN ME. REALLY??? TAKE HIM OFF OF ANGIES LIST!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK OR THE CRACKS CORRECTED WITHOUT MY YARD BEING A MESS AGAIN!!! CB

We had three or four bids and his price was pretty reasonable and he seemed to do a higher quality of work. The owner came to look at the job to make sure everything was ok.

Goodmanson crew did a nice job. However, they were seriously lacking in communication. One person bids the job, another acts as project manager and another group does the work. Too many parties were involved and the communication definitely fell through. Crew showed up before project was scheduled. We had to re-explain and insist of some work that the project manager knew about but didn't tell the crew. Advertising sign was stuck in our new sod (equipment also ripped out some sod.) We didn't give permission for the advertising. We would have if we knew about it and also would have suggested placing it in an area where it would not damage the sod. After spending the entire summer, nurturing the sod, I was a little upset. I will consider using this company again, but will definitely make sure all parties are on the same page before any payment is made.

The company gave us an estimate for a concrete driveway. The rep confirmed by phone and was on time. He was friendly and appeared well knowledgable. We received multiple bids and chose another company whose bid was 30% less.

The price quoted was absolutely over the top! I might try them in the future for a bigger job, but not for something like this.

MERL WAS WONDERFUL. HE CAME AND REVIEWED THE PROJECT GAVE THOUGHTFUL SUGGESTIONS AND A TIMELY ESTIMATE. HIS ESTIMATE WAS ABOUT $1000 HIGHER THAN ONE OTHER I RECEIVED AND SO I CALLED HIM ABOUT THIS. HE MADE A SECOND TRIP OUT TO REVIEW THE ESTIMATE AND RE-NEGOTIATED WITH ME. HIS SON RUNS THE DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS AND WAS PRESENT FOR THE POURING AND REMOVAL OF CONCRETE. AT ONE POINT OUR NEIGHBOR GOT CONCERNED WITH THE WORK BECAUSE IT WAS NEAR HER PROPERTY LIMITS. WE WERE NOT AT HOME TO DEAL WITH THIS, BUT ALL THE WORKERS ADDRESSED HER CONCERNS POLITELY AND REITERATED THE ST. PAUL CODES TO HER. SHE WAS NOT POLITE SO I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THEIR ABILITY TO MANAGE THE SITUATION. I REALLY TRUST MERL AND HIS COMPANY AND WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

I ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL THE DAY THE WORK BEGAN SO I DIDN'T SEE THE CREW AT ALL. MY WIFE SPOKE TO THE OWNER'S SON AND SAID HE WAS VERY POLITE. WE ARE PLEASED WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THE WORK AND OVERALL EXPERIENCE.

WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK AS WELL AS THE PERSONAL ATTENTION TO OUR PROJECT. THE PRICE WAS NOT THE CHEAPEST, BUT FAIR IN LIGHT OF THE MATERIALS USED AND THE PROFESSIONAL SKILL WITH WHICH THEY PERFORMED.

THEIR PRICES WERE COMPETITIVE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE CONCRETE WAS DONE VERY WELL.
