FORSYTHE APPRAISALS

Description of Work: I called this company in the afternoon of Thursday March 12, 2009 to speak to them about doing an appraisal on my homestead. One of their sales people called me back the next day and provided me information about what they charge for an appraisal ($450.00), how long it takes (45 minutes) and how long it takes to prepare the report (24-48 hours). I told the sales person that I had to check with the person paying the other half (ex-wife) before I could make a decision to hire them or not. The following Monday morning, a different sales person called my house around 8:15am. I thought, at the time, that this was unusually early to call someone's house. I explained to the sales person that I was still working on getting the go-ahead from my ex-wife and that I would be calling them. Two days later, and in complete disregard of my indication to them that "I would call them," another sales person (Pat or Pam) called my home at 7:55am. I told the sales person that I was still working on getting the go-ahead, and that I would contact them. I also told her that calling someone's house to sell them something before 8:00am is completely unacceptable, and not very likely to make me use their company's services. These "pushy" sales tactics have made the decision to use another appraiser quite easy, I would not recommend the services of a company that does not have enough common sense not to call a prospective client's home before 8:00am.
