FISHER LAWN SVC

I recently purchased a home and noticed how nice my next door neighbor's lawn looked. On June 5, I stopped the gentleman doing the lawn to ask him his rates. He said he worked for Tom Fisher, gave me the card for FLS (Fisher's Lawn Service) and told me he could start that day. I asked him for rates and he said that Tom Fisher would have to contact me about rates, but that it should be between $35-$45. Since my front yard is rather thin, I also asked for advice regarding how to gain more grass area, including seeding, fertilization and trimming. The gentleman said that Tom would be able to come out, give me a full estimate and some suggestions regarding shade grass. He also warned me that I might need to call Tom Fisher a few times before reaching him. Due to a recent injury, I knew I would not be able to mow the lawn myself for at least a month or longer. Seeing the work next door, I agreed that sooner would be better. I had the lawn mowed that day. It was so beautiful afterwards that I was ready to sign on indefinitely, pending a visit from Mr. Fisher to discuss seed, fertilizer, and any suggestions he might have. The lawn was so beautiful that I thought this was the company for me. The next afternoon, Friday, June 6, I called and got Tom Fisher on his cell phone around 5pm. He seemed to be agreeable to coming out early in the following week, although he did not narrow down a specific time. He asked me to send an email with more details, which I did immediately following our conversation. In the email, I suggested Tuesday, gave my schedule, contact information and the details of my yard needs. When I did not hear from him on Tuesday,June 10, I called and left a voice mail message on Tuesday afternoon, requesting a return call. I heard nothing. On Thursday, when I saw the lawn service employee speaking with my neighbor, I went over and said that I was still waiting for Mr. Fisher to come by. I said that I had spoken to him the previous Friday and left a message on Tuesday, but that he had not called back, nor had he emailed or come by. The employee (Ben) said he would speak with Tom Fisher that day and I should get a call within a few days. No call came. To make matters worse, my neighbor, who was privy to the entire exchange on June 12, told me that if I didn't hear anything from Mr. Fisher to call him and that he would call Tom (his friend) to make him call me back. I did not feel comfortable in chasing after someone to do my lawn through using my neighbor. I figured that if Mr. Fisher didn't call back or make an effort, then clearly he did not want my business. The following Wednesday (June 18), I had had enough. I called his cell phone and the mailbox was full. I called the home phone and left a voice mail message expressing my concerns and that I would find another service, since Mr. Fisher could not return a phone call. In addition, I sent an email with the same information with a request for a bill for the mowing on 6/5/14. Two weeks after my initial call on Saturday, June 21 at 8:51am - I got a phone call stating that he would be over at 10:45am. There was very little introduction. Tom Fisher seemed to be surprised when I mentioned the several phone calls, the message left on his home phone about my dissatisfaction and the inability to get a return call or a visit. He just said "okay" and hung up. There was no apology for poor communication, for waiting two weeks and for not returning phone calls or emails. I did receive a bill last week for $35. The date was incorrect (it said 6/12 instead of 6/5). Again, I thought the work was excellent and the lack of communication on the provider's part was the only reason that I am not a satisfied customer.

They have been very good. They are a good efficient service and I have had no problems with them at all.

They were prompt and did a very nice job at a reasonable price.

I called on a Saturday morning, explaining I had injured my back , and needed someone to mow the lawn for the last time this season. He took my address, and said he would be by that afternoon. He showed up that afternoon, with a push mower, and a riding mower. I explained that there were a few hills, and a wetlands area in the back. He took his riding mower out and cut the sides and front lawn, and proceeded to the back. He was mowing a perimeter strip, and got the mower stuck in the wet area. He tried a few times to get it out, but just suceeded in digging a few deep ruts in the wet grass. He explained he would be back the next day with someone to pull the mower out, finish the mowing and fix the damage to the lawn. He even said he would put down some weed killer for the creeping charlie in the back yard. I told him I understood, and he left. He did not show up the next day, but came on Monday while I was at work, and pulled the mower out, and finished mowing the back yard. It was terribly uneven, scalping the hills, and leaving a good deal of it unmowed. He never left a note, or when he would be back to fix the ruts in the lawn. He hasn't charged me, but I would like an assurance that he will be back to fix the damage to the lawn.

Called Tom's phone and left a message. He returned my message quickly and agreed to mow two lawns for me later that week. The lawns were mowed on schedule. However, the quality of the work was poor. The mower was set too low, leading to scalping of the lawns in multiple locations. Additionally, because the mower was set so low, several inches of clippings were left on one lawn, smothering the grass. I called Tom and asked him to have his crew clean it up, but it was never done. I wound up having to do it myself. It would have been easier and faster to mow the lawns myself instead of cleaning up after these guys. I left another message for Tom stating that I was unhappy, but he never returned my call.

They showed up on time, and were in and out with my entire lawn mowed and trimmed in 15 minutes.

I received a quick e-mail response stating that he would stop by to see what was needed and get back to me. I never heard back. I e-mailed to inquire if he had a chance to see the yard, but haven't received any further response to my inquiry. I ended up getting two other bids and going with Lawn by the Yard.

He is a nice guy. He cut my grass with a riding lawn mower.

I have a lot of huge trees - I love them for the shade, but I can't stand them in the fall because the raking is never ending - very overwhelming! I was able to reach the owner by phone very easily. He was very nice and came out the following week. When I drove up to my house, the yard looked like it had been vacuumed! It was wonderful! They also removed all the leaves they picked up. The service was well worth the money - I will definitely be calling Fisher Lawn Service next fall!

They mow the lawn, edge and blow off the driveway, etc. Two guys come so the job gets done quickly.

Easy to do business with, good price, and good service.

I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST & EFFICIENT TOM & HIS WORKERS ARE! I ALSO CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAIRLY PRICED HE IS. IN ADDITION, TOM OR WHOMEVER IS DOING THE YARD WORK IS ALWAYS PLEASANT AND POLITE.
