Description of Work: Ed was prompt, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about furnaces and A/C's. He submitted a bid that was reasonable and worked with me when I needed to do a couple additional items to my project. The day he came to do the install of my new furnace and A/C unit he and his assistant showed on time, worked in a downpour to get the A/C unit leveled and installed, they kept me informed on their progress and when it was completed made sure I understood how everything worked. Ed is extremely honest and I found working with him a great pleasure. I highly recommend using Ed's Heating & Air Conditioning, a company you can truly trust to do the right thing for your needs.

Description of Work: Installation of a garage heater we supplied, natural gas, including ceiling mounting, exhaust through roof, installation of gas line, coordination of city inspector for checking work (gas line and whole job; inspector said it was well done), coordination with electrician we lined up.

Description of Work: I contacted Ed by email for a quick rough estimate on what it would cost to move my air conditioner and then reconnect it. You see, I'm getting estimates to have an old well sealed, and the a/c sits on a concrete slab that is directly above the well. I was getting "inside" and "outside" estimates for sealing the well, and I wanted to compare total project costs. The "outside" estimate would require moving the a/c. Ed responded with an estimate that was similar to others, and lower than some.

Description of Work: This guy was extremely rude on the phone. Called him at 11AM on Thursday, Aug 30 and he said I WOKE HIM UP! Told him I was in Brooklyn Center and he said I was "outside his area". Then instead of honoring the $50 charge as shown on Angie's List, he said if he came out he would charge me $150. I asked if he was booked up and he said, "no, all I have to do today is sit around in my nice cool house. RUDE RUDE RUDE

Description of Work: Called on short notice during the recent severe heat wave. Replaced blower motor on my furnace unit. No hassles. Very responsive. Price was less than he quoted. I highly recommend and would use again.

Description of Work: This is an "emergency" fix of a furnace blower on the closing date of my real estate transaction. In this kind of market, it is almost a nightmare for all the sellers. It took us three months to make the deal, but all the sudden on the final walk through date, which is one date before closing, the buyer heard a noise not normal in the furnace when it was turned on, and ask the seller repair/replace that 2002 furnace before closing, otherwise they will not buy the house anymore. It was already late night when I got this request, and the closing suppose to be 10:00AM the next day. I made more than 5 phone calls to all the plumber or HVAC companies I used before, but none of them can help me in that time frame. On the closing date morning, I get up very early and around 7AM I started to try the angie's list contractors which rated A. Out of the 7 phone calls I got only one company pick up the phone which is Ed's Heating & Air Inc. I told them the situation, and asked them to be there in the early morning. To my surprise they agreed and be there before 9:00AM, checked the furnace and replaced the blower in front of the buyer. They calmed down the buyer, saved the deal, and everyone is happy! We really appreciated their on time service, and also they asked very reasonable price, did not over charge us to take advantage of the situation. I will highly recommend them to all of my friends when they need a HVAC contractor.

Description of Work: I rent shop space from Ed so he has been my professional business acquaintance for years. He has fixed my gas fireplace at my home, fixed my furnace, and kept my ac running smooth for years. I had to put him on the list. He came out on a sunday to fix my thermostat promtly. Today is a snow storm in MN too so it was important not to wait till monday. Owner opperator straite shooter can fix anything.
