I hired Shawn to do a complete overhaul of my kitchen and upstairs flooring. In an emotional time with my wife passing this year, his processes made everything really simple and easy to understand. The few things that came up, as they always do in jobs, were very clearly communicated and resolved immediately without any increases in our time table. I'm thrilled to have my honey oak cupboards in the past and to have a beautiful, modern kitchen. The quality of work, quality of human in the contractor, and speed at the price quoted was worth every penny. I'll be sending friends and family his way!

Shawn was very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and stayed in regular contact with us throughout the project. He did a great job scheduling all of the subcontractors needed for our renovation - our project started on time and finished ahead of schedule! We are very pleased with the results, and would definitely work with Shawn again for future remodeling projects.

DCS strengths: -Shawn always comes in with a bunch of great ideas for upgrades and remodeling. -He manages his subcontractors extremely well. -He explains the reasoning for certain issues. -Most importantly: 1) Shawn knows that there is always more to the project than expected. He builds in a buffer in his bis to account for unknown issues. He's always on target with his initial quote and final cost. 2) Timeliness. Shawn's timeline estimates are great.

DCS had done some great work for us in the past so we contacted Shawn to bid on a complete remodel of a townhome we had recently purchased. We wanted the remodel completed within 5 weeks after our closing. Shawn and team were able to, on short notice, not only complete the project on time but under budget. in early October, I set out to find a contractor to remodel our basement bathroom by Christmas. After several contractors stated they could not meet the timeline, I met with Shawn from DCS construction. Rather than immediately saying he couldn't meet the timeline, he stated if I was willing to do some of the work, he identified what he could do to meet the timeline. Our remodeling journey with DCS began the first part of November and throughout the entire process, Shawn kept us informed of who would be working on what and when they would be at the house. As issues came up, Shawn would contact us and we would work out the best way to proceed. The bathroom was done by the first week in December. The subcontractors Shawn used were all top notch and courteous. We couldn't have had a better experience or a better Christmas present.

If you are planning any home remodeling, I highly recommend Shawn Durand. I recently had him and his talented crew refresh my kitchen (new granite countertops, sink & plumbing, new paint, under cabinet lighting) and completely remodeled my bathroom. I am thrilled with the outcome in both rooms. Shawn and his crew were always on time, listened to my ideas, addressed any concerns, worked quickly & efficiently, cleaned up their work areas every day. My wife and I cannot say enough about the quality and attention to detail Shawn put into our new deck. He met with us numerous times to discuss various options (and our changing design ideas). He is extraordinarily patient, friendly, creative and accommodating. Shawn was thorough and clear about every aspect of the design, materials, and price. Once we settled on the size and design of the deck, DCS sent us a final contract to review. We were pleased to see that it outlined exactly what we had discussed with no additional fees, undisclosed costs, or other surprises. The crew was always on time and kept us apprised of the progress. Our deck is even more gorgeous than we had hoped. And the best part was we didn’t have to do anything. Shawn and his staff did everything from securing the dumpster, to arranging the city inspection, to removing the last shred of material. During the build, Shawn identified some crucial electrical and stucco issues which we were unaware of. In those few areas beyond his expertise, the experts he recommended were responsive and reasonably priced. Prior to hiring DCS, we researched similar companies and even consulted past clients. We are so pleased we went with Durand Construction. It is a family-owned company that is absolutely honest, easy to work with, and highly skilled. We unequivocally recommend DCS to anyone looking for home improvements.

Shawn was great to work with. Responded to my inquiry quickly and got all of my projects scheduled in order. Took about 2 1/2 days and all of my projects were done to my satisfaction. He is a very nice guy and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him.

It went very well. Shawn responded very quickly with a quote, which I felt was very reasonable. The job was scheduled and the work was done quickly and efficiently.

Shawn's really helpful with an old house so that what you end up with looks great, fits the house, and is reasonably priced. He's done a kitchen and a bathroom for us, but I'd have his group do anything.

Shawn and his subcontractors were very respectful of my home and myself. He gave several suggestions on how something could be done to keep within my budget. Quality of work was of high. I have recommended Shawn to both family and friends.

Since this is our only bathroom, it required planning and coordination of work to minimize disruption of use. Shawn and his crew met the challenge, and the remodeling was completed quickly, as scheduled, with excellent workmanship, and at the right price. All construction debris was removed promptly, and the work site was cleaned up to a spotless condition. we are completely satisfied with all aspects of the project.

Everything was great. Shawn was prompt and professional. I am happy with the end results and would recommend/use him again. Refaced our kitchen cabinets, changed our light fixtures, new floors, custom shelves, installed backsplash, installed kitchen hood with outside vent, installed new baseboards from family room to kitchen, resurfaced our ceiling and installed crown moldings and refaced our fireplace.

Overall: Excellent! A couple of problems have come up (defective dishwasher and faucet) and Shawn got it taken care of right away. Thanks!
