I have numerous investment properties. Joe is my "go to" guy for any of my drain cleaning needs. He is courteous and on time. He takes the time to explain to my tenants what he will do to solve the problem and what they need to do to prevent it from happening in the future. He communicates well with me explaining what was done and why. I never worry when I call him and know that the job will get done whether I can be on site or not. Great prices and services and I will continue to use Joe in the future.

He is one of the best service providers I have ever worked with. He is always punctual, professional and works hard. I recommend him to anyone with an old house.

Joe arrived within the 1 hour window as promised. He was courteous,professional, and did an excellent job. He left my basement clean. He answered all of my questions about what he was doing and why. At 6 o'clock on a Sunday night we realized that our water was backed up and coming up our basement floor drain. I was very worried about not being able to use our water and having to play hooky with work to get somebody to come on Monday. I called up Drain Busters, and Joe answered the phone. He gave me prices for coming right away or waiting until the next day. The 80$ difference was well worth my piece of mind. Joe was at my house 30 minutes later. He understood the issue right away, and it took him 10 minutes to fix it. He stayed for another 30 minutes, and we talked about how my house was plumbed. I felt like I was still getting good value out of this short service call, and he did lower the price. I normally hate hiring contractors, but he was pretty good. I really appreciate that he showed me what he was doing. If I had the same problem again I would probably fix it myself, but it's really good to know that if something is above me I would call Joe again. I thought he had an interesting business model. The company is just him, although he has had employees in the past. He only does drain unclogging, so if any plumbing needs to be replaced he doesn't do it. He offers both urgent and less urgent service calls and prices them accordingly. Since he has such a simple business setup he can offer prices significantly lower than other larger full service companies. I appreciate that he can offer service at odd hours at very short notice, but since it is just him I assume that this is only when he is not busy. If I had another clogged drain that I couldn't figure out myself, I would definitely call Joe first to see if he is available. I think he is really good about answering his phone.

Have hired Joe a number of times over the past 13 years for drain cleaning as I live in an older home. He is very professional - and very honest and friendly. Whenever there is an issue, he shows me what is wrong and gives knowledgeable advice. I recently had an issue in which he not only gave me extra time and a big break on the price, but also gave me advice on finding another type of plumbing service I needed which saved me a lot of money.

They were really honest about it. There are these different levels of service and they helped us choose the one that best fit our needs at the lowest cost. They explained a lot of the issues and how to prevent it from happening in the future. The really helped us understand. I felt that they were very trustworthy.

About once a year I have to have the floor drain in my laundry room cleaned. I have had many different providers in the 10 years that I've lived in my house. Joe was by far the best. I realized Sunday that my drain needed to be cleaned. I searched Angie's List and saw all the very positive reviews for Joe. I called Monday morning. He answered right away. I explained the issue I was having and he said that the cause was either the pipe to my mainline or the mainline. The price to clear the pipe was $85 and mainline would be $115. II made an appointment for him to come out Tuesday at 5:30. A little past 5:30 Joe called to say he was running late and would be there within a half an hour. This was completely acceptable to me as it was snowing that day as well. He did show up shortly after 6:00 and got right to work. He was quickly able to determine the issue was just the pipe from the laundry room to the mainline. It took less than a half an hour for him to complete the job, double check his work, and clean up after himself. Joe was very friendly and professional. I was impressed with the reasonable price and how quickly he completed the job. I will definitely call Joe the next time I need the drain cleaned.

It couldn't have gone better. The work was done at a home in Minneapolis built in the 1930's so the plumbing isn't always that predictable. Joe is quite knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. He was able to snake down the line to the basement and through the "T" joint in the plumbing and clear the clog in very little time. I was impressed with how quickly he diagnosed the issue and was able to fix the problem. He was very careful with the work and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Joe was extremely responsive and willing to work with my schedule to get the problem fixed as soon as possible. He was very personable and didn't even mind the dog trying to assist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family and will definitely hire him again should the need arise. This was a great experience!

After some water was backing up in our laundry room, we called Drain Busters. They came out, figured out what the issue was and cleaned the main drain (roots and all). Everything has been working fine since then.

We had a chronic problem with a toilet that would not flush properly. Joe helped unclog it and gave us advise on how to deal with the problem caused by our hard water. While he was there we asked him about a basement drain that was not draining well. He used a snake on the drain. He gave us a discount on the basement drain and only charged $35 for that extra job.

Working with Joe was a great experience from start to finish. I had called on a Sunday evening and expected to leave a message, but Joe answered his phone. He was very polite and said the soonest he could come out for a non-emergency cleaning was 2 days later, which was fine by me. He said he'd be to my house between 5 and 6p. I was pleased they offer evening appointments. On the day of the appointment Joe called at 5:42 to say he'd be here in 15-20 min. I appreciated the head's up. When he arrived and assessed my stairwell he said his machine's wheelbase was too large for the narrow opening. To be certain, though, we measured both the frame and his machine. He said he had a smaller machine at home but that he needed to order a new cable for it which would take 2 weeks. Because I wasn't in a hurry and had a positive experience thus far, I decided to have him come back. The day of the new appointment Joe arrived on time. He had remembered to park in the back for easier access to my basement, and he also inquired how my trivia game had gone 2 weeks ago. I thought this was a nice touch and something you probably wouldn't get from a larger company. It took him about 30-45 min to clean my line with minimal resistance. When he wrote up my receipt he indicated that, since I hadn't had the line cleaned for 2 yrs, if I have him clean the line within 2 more years he would charge me the same price. I should mention, their usual price is $85, but they offer a $10 discount for AL members. He had requested that I log in to my account to verify my membership, but my wi-fi was acting up. Instead, he offered to let me use his smartphone to log in. Joe has exemplary customer service and is very professional. It's just him and his wife running their business, no other employees, so he's very invested in keeping his customers happy. I can't wait to us Drain Busters again!

I like dealing with them;Joe is a single owner and is basically the one who does the work. He is good and as far as I can tell, he is the most reasonable guy that does that sort of thing.What they can expect is that he is not a plumber; their type of company doesn't require a licence to do what they do.He is not a licensed plumber otherwise, he would be a lot more expensive. But he is a decent guy, was on time and did what he said he would do. He even charged me less than what I expected.
