DM Remodeling

DO NOT USE DAVE MASTERMAN of DM REMODELING, 1499 Grandview Ave., Maplewood, MN 55109. He is NOT a man of his word. While the work he did get done was done well, he did not finish the job. It has been a year plus since I have been trying to reschedule the finish of the work he quoted. He started my backyard retaining wall, shed and firepit job last summer (2019). Due to weather etc. he was unable to finish it before fall and promised to come back this spring/summer (2020) to finish the job. We got a hold of him in May and set up a June 8th start date to finish the job. He was a no show. I have called and texted, at first every other week, and as of August have gone to once a month. I have also tried to stop by his house two different times to talk with him, but after waiting 45 mins to an hour each time he has not shown up. Unfortunately I paid for all of the work on the shed and walls, only holding back a small amount for the firepit area. So, I guess I am out the money to finish the walls. Never pay for a job until it is done. I felt ok paying him most of it when we had a date set, as he said "You know me and where I live, you can trust I will finish the job." He did complete the back wall and the shed, but has blown me off when it has come to the two small wall extensions, and firepit. I feel I have been more than patient. But my last text to him, said I would be letting everyone I know not to use him if he did not respond by yesterday. And, I am a woman of my word.

Excellent! Dave Masterman is an expert communicator and craftsman. He was thorough and thoughtful when describing what my job would entail. His estimate was detailed and included a line drawing of my proposed deck. I was able to place my trust in his experience and professionalism - and was well rewarded. My new deck is well-built and beautiful! I am very lucky I found Dave Masterman.
