Distinctive Cleaning

I submitted a report on this company over a year ago. We hadn't been using the cleaning service for very long, and things were still fine then. They gradually went Downhill, so I wanted to submit another report. We lost the good cleaner we had (Melissa) to maternity leave. And, even before she left, things started to get bad. (I can sympathize--when you're that pregnant, I can't imagine having to do such strenuous work). The office got very defensive and never offered to come back and make things right. When I called to cancel the service, I was treated like I was a spouse asking for a divorce. It wasn't professional, which is also just reflective of the quality of the cleaning.

My stove was only half cleaned. All the counters and sinks were not even wiped. They vacuumed but did not touch the hardwood floors. The job was very poor.

They are definitely professional. They are easy to work with. They work around you schedule. They are prompt. The quality of their work is good. They are open to feedback and suggestions.

I contacted this company for cleaning and they scheduled me for the next day which was great because the house really needed a spring cleaning badly. They cleaned one level of my home (approximately 3,000 sq ft). They were professional, the home was cleaned and I was relieved and had plenty of extra spare time on my hands. Definitely worth it!! Now I have them scheduled to clean throughout the year and I am already planning on how to spend my time. Thanks!!

When the cleaners arrived they were in a hurry because they had another job to go to they told me. They also said my house was underbid (due to my Angie's List discount) and therefore would not be cleaned at the level they do for full payment customers! They cleaned quickly leaving soap scum in the sinks, didn't wipe off the countertops and did not clean the cupboards. They had left cleaner squirted on the wall, didn't even sweep some areas and overall didn't finish the job. When I contacted the manager, she informed me this was due to the job being underbid. I said I was never told that Angie's List members who receive a discount receive poor service too! They grudgingly sent back the cleaner AJ to reclean the areas left unclean. She completed the job just fine and redeemed the company in my mind. Then I received a very rude phone call from Jennifer Carr, Manager. She was argumentative, very RUDE and told me I was WRONG on the price. ALL BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

Based on the Angie's List reviews, I would not have used this company. But, an acquaintance of mine uses them and likes them. That, in combination with the $50 off coupon I received in the mail (more of a discount than Angie's List!), I decided to try them. The first time wasn't super great. We have mildew on our shower that I asked them to pay special attention to. They said they did everything they could. I thought so, but on the second cleaning with a different person, it's much better. I also wasn't happy that we didn't have the same cleaner the 2nd time around. But, after the 4th cleaning now, we've had the same cleaner, Melissa, the last 3 times. She is fantastic! My only complaint is that she takes a long time, but she's very nice in working around us while we're home and she's cleaning. Jennifer and Betsy in the main office are very responsive to anything I call about. (We had one of our rugs apparently get bleach spilled on it. They paid for a replacement.)

Quite favorable. Very thorough in their work. Really attentive. Jenny was involved and checked with me to make sure there wasn't anything else I wanted her to do. She wanted to make sure that I thought the work was satisfactory. I appreciated their attention to detail. I think they did a really good job. Rachel was really terrific to talk to. They are very willing to come back and make right if anything was left undone.

The owner is courteous and attentive, but they have had several employee turnovers which affected us. We would meet with the two cleaners one week, and the next time they cleaned - it was different cleaners - hence they weren't familiar with our house, nor our likes and dislikes. this happened a few times, and then one week the owner called and left a voice mail saying they couldn't make it to my house due to a sick employee and they would come in a week. I was having company for dinner that night, so obviously wasn't happy. I am no longer using them.

MY HOUSE IS CLEAN EACH MONTH AND IT'S WONDERFUL TO COME HOME TO A CLEAN HOUSE. EVERYTHING IS PUT BACK INTO PLACE JUST WHERE IT WAS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FRIENDLY AND VERY ACCOMMODATING AS WELL.

I WOULD NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, THEY DID NOT DO MOST OF THE AGREED UPON SERVICES. THE WINDOW WASHER SAID THE COMPANY HAD GROSSLY UNDERESTIMATED THE COST FOR CLEANING WINDOWS. WE RENEGOTIATED ''ON THE SPOT'' SO THAT JUST THE UPSTAIRS WINDOWS AND PORCH WINDOWS WOULD BE CLEANED. HE CLEANED ONLY THE PORCH WINDOWS. FLOORS WERE VACUUMED BUT POORLY WASHED. STOVE AND FRIDGE WERE MARGINALLY CLEANED, KITCHEN FLOOR HAD DIRT LEFT, UNDER THE FRIDGE WAS UNTOUCHED, COUNTER TOPS WERE OBVIOUSLY NOT EVEN WIPED, WOOD WORK WAS NOT WIPED.

I HAD A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY DID A GOOD JOB OF CLEANING MY HOME AND WERE VERY REASONABLY PRICED. THE CLEANERS WERE A LITTLE LATE, BUT IT WAS DUE TO TRAFFIC AND DIRECTIONS. THEY DID END UP BREAKING A CERAMIC FIGURINE WHEN CLEANING, BUT IMMEDIATELY DISCOUNTED THE VALUE OF THE FIGURINE FROM MY BILL.

IT WAS HORRIBLE AND LED ME TO YOU. THE FIRST TIME THEY MISSED MANY THINGS. WE CALLED TO EXPRESS OUR DISSATISFACTION AND GAVE THEM UNTIL THE SECOND APPOINTMENT TO MAKE THE CORRECTIONS. WE HAD A LIST OF THE THINGS MISSED, INCLUDING FAILURE TO WIPE DOWN THE FRONT OF THE DISHWASHER. SEVERAL OF THEM WERE NOT ADDRESSED AT THE SECOND CLEANING. ONE BLATANT OMISSION WAS FAILURE TO WIPE DOWN THE WOOD WORK (WHICH HAD BEEN AN EXTRA CHARGE AT THE FIRST CLEANING). A MANAGER CAME TO MAKE THE CORRECTIONS AND DID A RUSH JOB. THE WOODWORK IN THE SINGLE BATHROOM WAS NEVER DONE AND YOU COULD SEE THE EDGES OF THE DUST WHEREVER SHE DID WIPE. THEN THEY CALLED ON A SUNDAY MORNING TO SEE IF I WAS SATISFIED. I TRIED TO EXPRESS MY CONTINUED DISSATISFACTION, BUT THEY SAID THEY HAD DONE ALL THEY COULD AND WANTED TO GET PAID. I HUNG UP, NOT WANTING TO DEAL WITH THEM ON THE WEEKEND. I PUT IT IN THE LIST OF BILLS TO PAY, BUT THEY HAD ALREADY THREATENED THAT THEY WOULD TAKE ME TO COURT IF I DID NOT PAY.

I'VE USED THEM FOR MONTHLY CLEANINGS AND HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR JOB A NUMBER OF TIMES. AT OTHER TIMES THEY WERE OUTSTANDING. VERY INCONSISTENT. WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT POOR JOB, I WAS TOLD I WAS PICKY AND THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE HAVE SUCH DIRTY ROOMS, THEY JUST DECIDE NOT TO CLEAN THE ROOM. FUNNY, SINCE I "CLEAN" BEFORE THEY CLEAN, TO ENSURE THEY DON'T HAVE CLUTTER IN THEIR WAY. AFTER GOING BACK AND FORTH (THEY WERE VERY DEFENSIVE AND QUESTIONED MY ACCURACY IN REPORTING THIS), THEY FOUND THAT THEY HAD ACTUALLY FORGOTTEN THE ENTIRE ROOM. AFTER THIS SITUATION OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES, I GAVE UP. NOW THAT I HAVE ACCESS TO ANGIE'S LIST, I'VE FOUND A NEW COMPANY WITH GREAT COMMENDATIONS!

ONE OF THE OWNERS IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. TELLING ME THAT I AM PICKY WHEN I TOLD HER SHE FORGOT THE GARBAGE ON THE FAMILYROOM FLOOR. THEY FORGOT TO CLEAN THE KITCHEN FLOOR, THEY LEFT CLEANING SUPPLIES OUT, OR VACUUMED BUT DIDN'T SEEM TO PICK UP SOME DIRT ON THE CARPET. HER TONE OF VOICE WITH ME MADE ME SO UPSET I WILL DISCONTINUE USING THEM ASAP. BUT FOR NOW BEING 8 MONTHS PREGNANT, I WILL USE THEM BUT HAVE REQUESTED THAT I NO LONGER HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH THE OWNER AND DEAL WITH THE OTHER AND MUCH MORE PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH OWNER.

THIS COMPANY OFTEN DOESN''T COME THE DAY THEY SCHEDULED, NOR AT THE TIME SCHEDULED. THEY DO A RATHER AVERAGE JOB OF CLEANING TOO.

I SET UP MONTHLY SERVICE; AFTER THE FIRST MONTH THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. FLOORS WERE NOT CLEANED WELL. NOT A GOOD VALUE.

ON THEIR LAST VISIT DISTINCTIVE CLEANING DID SUCH A POOR JOB THAT CRACKER CRUMBS REMAINED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR. WE CALLED AND WERE PROMISED A FREE CLEANING. THAT WAS THE LAST WE EVER HEARD FROM THEM. THE SUPPOSED FREE CLEANING NEVER HAPPENED. WE PAID TO HAVE OUR HOUSE CLEANED, BUT IT WAS NOT, AND THEY DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR REMEDY TO THE PROBLEM. WE''LL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

TWO CLEANERS CAME IN AND CLEANED UP SANDING DUST THAT COATED EVERYTHING (HOUSE WAS VACANT). THEY WERE HARDWORKING, FRIENDLY, AND GOT OUR NEW HOUSE READY FOR MOVE-IN. WORTH DOING OR I''D STILL BE CLEANING.

GREAT COMPANY TO WORK WITH EVEN FOR JUST A ONE TIME CLEANING!

FIRST EXP WAS REALLY GOOD, BUT AFTER THAT WAS BAD, 2ND TIME THEY CAME OUT, THEY CLEANED MINIMALLY & DID NOT ARRIVE AT THE TIMES THEY STATED OR BLEW OFF APPT TIMES.

CLEANERS HAVE A PLAN OF WHAT THEY WILL DO AND HOW, REGARDLESS OF ANY ARRANGEMENTS MADE WHEN BOOKING THE JOB. IF TASKS FALL OUTSIDE THE TIME THEY EXPECT TO SPEND, THEY SIMPLY DO NOT DO THOSE ITEMS AND ARE NOT RESPONSIVE TO THE CLIENT'S EXPECTATIONS BASED ON THE JOB BOOKING. THEY WERE NOT EQUIPPED TO DO SEVERAL ROUTINE THINGS AND SEEM TO RESTRICT THEIR TOOLS TO A SPONGE AND A CLOTH.

I WAS SHOCKED AT THE LACK OF CLEANING, DID NOT SWEEP UNDERNEATH THINGS,DID NOT DUST ON TOP OF THINGS.

THE OFFICE PEOPLE WERE GREAT, BUT THE CLEANERS WERE REALLY INDIFFERENT.

JODY PERFORMED CLEANING AT MY HOME AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I COULDNT FIND ONE AREA THAT SHE MISSED AND SHE DID EVERYTHING IN A TIMELY MANNER
