DECK RENEWAL AND MORE

Very badly. Sales pitch and literature stated that the deck would be power washed and cleaned, then a sealant would be applied, and then a stain would be applied. We were repeatedly told and the literature stated that the sealing and staining would last for years and years...well over a decade. Stain started peeling off just one year after the work was done. The company investigated and concluded that when they power washed the deck prior to sealing, the worker put too much of a cleaning chemical into the power wash and that this is what prevented the sealant and stain from properly sticking to the wood. The company refused to re-do the work even after admiting it was their fault. Complaint was filed with BBB.

September 2008 - hired company to strip, seal and stain deck. They stripped and sealed in fall of 2008 and we were expecting the staining to be finished in Spring 2009. It is now Aug and staining is not done. Company does not return calls, keeps putting us off, will not commit to a day when they can complete the job. The actual person expected to do the job is subcontracted and is not in touch with the others at the company. Work will have to be re-done because of the length of time that has lapsed. Do not use this company.

Awful. We have a finished, stamped concrete patio under the deck. They did not finish the staining under the deck, they left permanent stains on the patio because they did not cover it, the stain pooled. Six months later the stain still comes off if you rub against it. We called and called and they have not responded to our complaints. We signed the contract in June and wanted the work done in August. ??????????????????????????????????????????????
