Jay answered my call but indicated that he's been very busy with work and life recently and he's unsure when he can get to me. Despite all those, he still listened to my problem and gave some thoughtful suggestions for what might be the cause. I tried his first suggestion and of course Jay was right and thankfully I was able to fix my light switch problem. Thank you again Jay and I will definitely hire you in the future if I ever have any electrical work to be done!

It went great! Jay replaced a number of light switches and one breaker that were ruined by the lightning. While here, he also put new covers on our exterior outlets that were not properly covered. So happy with the work. Jay is very professional and nice to work with.

Excellent! Jay came right on time and worked efficiently to get all the new light fixtures put in. They all look great! Jay was also nice enough to explain how to choose the right LED bulbs and we switched out a few bulbs to make some a little brighter. I would definitely call Jay again and recommend him to others.

Jay was fantastic. He explained what he saw and the upgrade needed for code. He was the neatest workman ever. He put down plastic and left no mess from ceiling plaster. The light is beautiful and works like a dream. I would use him for any electrical project. He gave me a price beforehand and it was dead on. $139 an hour and worth his weight in gold.

Jay Dalum responded almost immediately to my inquiry. Unfortunately he was “slammed” with work during my narrow time frame and unable to bid on my project. He did recommend a reputable competitor. We can't say enough about how wonderful Jay is. Jay has been our electrician for 5 years, He helped us prepare our former house to sell by installing outlets that the builder did not We are now close to wrapping up an over 2 1/2 year remodel that Jay has worked on from start to finish. He pulled all the knob and tub, upgraded the electric to 220, added a new meter, install all of our light fixtures, surround sound, recessed lighting, high voltage outlets for our large appliances, exterior security lights and wired and lit our new garage. Jay is an uber electrician. He is knowledgeable, patient, budget conscious, and points out many things you may not think about your house that help you to live in your house comfortably. Jay goes above and beyond to identify any electrical issues or other construction concerns he notices as he works on your home. He always looks for cost effective ways to accomplish whatever you need. We recommend him to everyone we know. We will continue to have him provide any of our electrical services as long as he's in business. He's simply the best!

This new construction project could not have gone better. Jay was prompt, cost-effective and did meticulous work under difficult (cold) circumstances. Additionally, he coached me on the requirements for the rest of the project wiring which I successfully completed myself. He made many suggestions for technique, fixture placement and fixture type which improved our new home considerably. Dalum Electric has my highest recommendation.

Excellent service with no inflated weekend or emergency pricing. The business owner (Jay ) arrived at my house an hour after I contacted him. Jay Dalum is a thorough professional. He came, for no fee, to inspect the job, returning punctually on the day of the job. Jay worked from 8:30 am to almost 8:30 pm inside and then, later, outside in the rain underneath the deck. He was determined to make it right that day. And he did. The inspector spoke highly of the quality of his work. He added that he did not know him personally, but he admired his work. We have already asked Jay for another job. He is a fine electrician, and a fine and honest person.

He was always prompt, he came in on time and finished the job early. Gave me a good price on all the work. I asked him for a discount and he gave me a 5% discount through Angie's List. We were a little bit over budget and he was able to work around the estimate and took some things down and made it fall under my budget so I appreciated that.

Jay's work was excellent. He also showed how putting in some new trims was less expensive than adding additional recessed lights.

Superb! I seriously could not have had better! Jay was highly conscientious and was always prepared with drop cloths or plastic to keep his mess contained and would clean up after himself (he put some of the other workers on the job to shame! Jay set the bar quite high!). Jay pays attention to the details, does excellent work, and kept me informed of choices as something came up. He offered excellent suggestions, but also worked within my desires and did not push any products. He is an excellent communicator (including connecting with the felines as they were underfoot), follows up well, and arrived on time. Even the electrical inspector that just left for the final inspection mentioned how much he appreciated Jay and his excellent skills! Jay was so good that I kept adding tasks because I knew it would be excellent, done to code and be safe. I absolutely plan to use Jay again in the future with the next project!

He was originally scheduled to come out to our house on Friday, but on Thursday he gave me a call as he did have some time to fit us into his schedule that day instead, if it worked for us. This was great, because it was better for our schedule and it meant our problem would get worked on that much faster. He was knowledgeable and helpful as he troubleshooted our problem. One of the things we really liked about him was how he gave us advice on potential future issues and how we can deal with them. By the time he left, our outlets were working again and he was also able to fix a cable outlet in our house! If we ever have electrical problems again or just want something changed/updated, we are definitely giving him a call!

I couldn't be more pleased. All our lighting and electrical power issues have been resolved. Jay explained his thinking and results thoroughly during the process. Excellent, theirs so much I could say. He was prompt, he solved the problem in a very short time and explained everything that he was doing so we would know how to explain it in case we had further issues in the future. He put in a new GFI with an alarm that would go off if it tripped so that we could hear it.

Jay arrived early, made quick friends with our dog and went right to work. He was quick, thorough and very informative. As he went along he offered suggestions and options which we found to be helpful. He knows his stuff, is reasonably priced. We'd gladly work with Jay again.

Jay did an outstanding job installing the new switches and outlets. He is a very meticulous worker in addition to being very fair in his estimate and billing. He worked to perfect the remote control for the rope lighting - to find the right combination of LED lighting with remote control switching. LED rope lights are tricky with just the right amount of load for the lights to work properly. Jay spent time above and beyond to get this working. We are very pleased with his service and friendly demeanor. We definitely would highly recommend him to anyone needing an electrician and we would use him again with no reservations.
