Description of Work: I paid a $49 fee for an estimate which I have since realized I could hey mulyiple bids without the fee. When I was contacted I was told it would be $3000.00 minimum just to bring in the equipment. It was a fair bid and they were professional. I agreed to the fee so it is not on them, but would never pay for one again.

Description of Work: They were rated high in Angie's List, but the price for a small concrete 4x4 stoop with 3 steps at $5500 seems much too high. After the bid was accepted they were suppose to call back regarding the coloring of the concrete but did not. They said they could do the job in about six weeks, but I didn't hear from them for eight weeks and had to call them twice to get the job scheduled. They originally bid 4 steps but installed only 3, which they said was sufficient. The biggest problem was the coloring of the concrete. I picked out a very dark brown color (bark) from a color sheet that they supplied. The color of the finished product was very very much lighter and in addition it was blotchy (whitish and brown) in appearance. When asked about the coloring they said they had ordered the dark brown (bark) color from the cement supplier, but the match wasn't even close. They did not offer to fix the problem or reduce the cost of the coloring (an additional $300).

Description of Work: Took out old asphalt driveway and cracked cement front step and sidewalk. Regraded driveway and put in new cement front step, small patio and driveway. Team was very professional, answered all of our questions, always cleaned up the yard and street in front of our house at the end of each day.
Description of Work: They poured the slab for my new pole barn, 24'x 30' and did another smaller slab for my wife at our back door, 12' x 14'. Both jobs were well done and we are very happy with the work. John is great to work with. We had a bit of damage to the underside of our 4 season porch where the small slab was poured but John got the necessary information, ordered the materials and replaced it like new. Would recommend Creative Concrete. I will use John and his crew again.
Description of Work: Asked for a bid on installing 30' sidewalk and extending patio (3' extension of 10x12 patio) and over the phone was given one, which they said included demo and haul away of old. I explained there was no demo needed as it was all new - but no change in bid. I asked them to come out and firm up the bid now knowing there was no demo - they have refused.

When Brian came out for the initial bid, he was very quiet while listening to our wants, but once he understood what we were after, he worked with us like a design consultant. We went through his design book on the different forms, stamps and colors available to us. While he took measurements, we continued to look through his book and came up with some new ideas. We worked with Brian for a couple of hours (I really feel I should have paid him for his consulting time) and by the time he left, we were pretty excited about the possibilities. Brian came back a few days later to finalize our design and give us our estimate. As the process goes: we had a few other bids, some were cheaper, some were more expensive, but no other bidder design, portfolio and capabilities impressed us as much as Brian and Creative Concrete. We decided to do the job in 2 parts, front and back. For the front part of the job, we went on vacation. When we left, we had crumbling concrete covered with horrid carpeting (don't ask). By the time we got back, the job was done except the final sealing coats (which he came out do to once the cement had cured properly). It was amazing, we couldn't believe it was the same house! I think we sat on the front stoop for 3 days because it was so cool. For the back portion of the job: we were treated to a show. Brian came to do the tear out, our the kids watched his Bobcat "dance" as he neatly and accurately tore out yards of old cement. Then we watched him excavate the area, tamp it, and form it up the next day. We had several days of rain after that and he couldn't pour, but he called us well in advance to let know he had to cancel. When it finally was dry enough, Brian and his crew came together and poured in all out, stamped it and added coloring to it. Before they left they had made a covering over the cement as the weather had been unpredictable. A few weeks later, Brian came out to inspect the final product and put the final coats of sealant on the cement. When the bill came there weren't any surprises, removal / recycling fee, materials and labor were spot on as advertised. Ever since we got our cement work done, we have met more people in our neighborhood. Some people were ask if our sidewalk was real stone, some want Brian's number, but just about everyone remarks at how beautiful it is.
Description of Work: We had Creative Concrete replace 3 stoops, 2 patios, and 3 walkways in stamped and / or colored concrete around our house. 2 of the walkways and 2 of the patios were done in stamped flagstone and the rest was done in a limestone colored cement. Additionally, Creative concrete tore out a 2 car cement apron that took up half of our backyard (previous owners were classic car enthusiasts and needed the workspace) .

Creative Concrete was very easy to work with. We received three bids and this was not least expensive bid but we felt it was very reasonable. Brian (from Creative Concrete) came out and was able to provide his recommendations and a bid right then/there (another company took a few days to put together the bid). We got the bid in mid May and by the end of May the project was complete. The finished patio and walkway look great and we were very happy with the process.
Description of Work: Removed an old paver patio, properly graded the area and replaced the old patio with a textured and colored concrete patio and a walkway to our detached garage (281 square feet).

I liked that they got the job done on time. The gentleman in charge, Brian, was very open and honest throughout the whole project. It's been a year since they poured the patio and it's still in great condition.

They were very timely and professional. They were easy to work with and gave lots of suggestions for options on design and color. He came out about several thousand dollars cheaper than the other three bids I got for the work. I would use him in the future.
Description of Work: They installed a stamped concrete patio and sidewalk around the house.
