+ -1 moreHe did a complete system recovery. He ended up taking the computer with him because he needed to work on it in his shop. He is a very courteous guy and gets the work done quickly.
Description of Work: The whole system was down, the hard drive was wiped out and the operating system was gone.

Description of Work: Totally dead laptop with lots of valuable data. No backup...yes I am an idiot! He saved all of the data and reformatted the drive and installed XP.

+ -1 moreJEROME WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, FAST AND SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. WHEN WE HAD TO WAIT UNTIL WE COULD ACCESS THE U OF M TECH SUPPORT SERVICES, HE MENTIONED A COFFEE HOUSE NOT TOO FAR FROM HIS PLACE AND BOUGHT ME A CUP OF COFFEE. NICE GESTURE. HE ALSO GAVE ME A BREAK ON HIS PRICING.
Description of Work: I BROUGHT MY COMPUTER TO HIM AS I WAS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING INTERNET ACCESS (I WANTED DIAL-UP, WAS GETTING RID OF DSL). HE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. WE HOOKED MY COMPUTER UP TO HIS INTERNET SO WE COULD LOOK UP SOME STUFF. TURNED OUT TO BE A HARDWARE ISSUE. HE REMOVED THE INTERNAL DSL MODEM AND MOVED THE DIAL-UP INTO ITS PLACE. THEN HE REMOVED THE UNUSED USB AND DSL SOFTWARE. FROM THERE WE HAD TO RECONFIGURE MY U OF M DIAL-UP CONNECTION AND RESET MY PASSWORD.
