We've had some trouble in the last year that they would come out and repair for somebody else, and we had our line cut twice. To me, it would be warning us that they are coming out for service because I work from home so I talk through my business line. I was out of work because they cut the line and they didn't realize they cut the line, and I was the one calling them to fix it. It has been a matter of not knowing that they hurt other people when they are doing repairs. They cut other people's services and not been mindful of that. I haven't had trouble with their customer service.

They try to be responsive but you don't get a whole lot done. Being there and answering the phone but not fixing anything for 2 months, that's not really responsive. They did set my den on fire once by drilling a hole without looking to see where the electrical outlets were first. They started drilling and then smoke started coming out of the hole and then the wall was on fire and then they ended up having to repair and rewire part of my den. There are huge outages of the internet that effect whole regions and they don't send you a text or let you know that services are out. Meanwhile, you are resetting your router and stuff. That's the main problem, you don't know what's going on.

Called Comcast 4 times in an effort to have them send me a replacement for my failing cable modem. Each time they said it would be shipped, and it never came. Finally bought a new one and installed it myself. Then I had to wait in line for 30 minutes at the Comcast office to return the broken equipment so they would stop charging me for it. Comcast is the worst company in the universe.

I am being charged extra for services that I told them I didn't want. I tried to call to cancel these services. They told me I could not cancel the services because there is a 30 day limit for cancellation and I was 3 days past the limit, even though I told them at the time of my original call that I DID NOT want these services. They "escalated" the call to management but no one has called me back and it has been 2 weeks. The additional equipment that they sent for the services that I did not want has never been used. They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered and I am VERY dissatisfied with the service. My complaint is with the deception of the representative when I ordered my service. I was not given full details of the charges.

The picture quality and up time of the service has been great. The internet speeds are great most of the time. My experience with customer service when I've had issues in the past has been hit or miss, but the problem has always been resolved. My only complaint is the price for both television and internet, it always seems to be increasing. But it is hard to find a better source for internet and get decent internet speeds.

I wish I had a better option. I work from a home office and have upgraded to their Performance Internet with Blast! Service expecting what they promise: download speeds of up to 105 Mbps and upload of up to 20 Mbps. I seldom see speeds anywhere near this and at time when I run speedtest.net see download speeds less than 10 Mbps and upload less than 5.

I had noticed that my internet access had slowed down tremendously over the weekend. I hadn't yet called Comcast, when a repair truck pulled up in front of my house. They had gotten a ticket from their monitoring system that there was something wrong with the line at my house. They asked if the time was convenient, or else I could set up an appointment and have them come back. The time was fine, so they went to check on the lines into the house and at the pole. They rewired the stuff going into the house, and got rid of some old stuff that wasn't being used. It took about 15 minutes, and then they tested everything and the problem was fixed. I tested my computer and web pages were back to coming up instantly. They were very polite and courteous. Told me everything they were doing. And since they showed up before I ever even got to call in my issue, it was a total win in my book. I've always found Comcast in this area to be quite good to work with, and this experience was no exception.

It was very bad. I don't know what happened I have been a Comcast customer for a long time and it looks like things have changed in a bad way it never used to be like this. Hopefully, top management can see the difference in customer service and make the change soon as lots of people rely on them.
Description of Work: They were simply supposed to make the transition from my old house to my new house. No technician needed at the home. Just were scheduled to come to the area to turn something on. Once turned on I was supposed to call and make the connection for my cable and internet. This process is still going on for one week. Customer service dropped call 2-3 times already. Spoke to manager he was yet unable to help me since they have multiple function with different departments to clear. Hopefully, I can get my cable and internet connection this weekend.

Most service visits seemed ok at the time of visit only to find the issue may not have actually been addressed or properly diagnosed.
Description of Work: Comcast upgraded / updated there core system several years ago and named it xffinity. when the made that transition my monthly bills went up over 150% from 119.00 per Month to 189.00. This occurred without any formal notification. Very upsetting. Additionally, as a Minneapolis Minnesota resident and customer I am only allow one brand of HD recorder / cable box. the make and model available in Minneapolis is the Scientific atlanta 8300hd. Not a good device at all as it frequently freezes, pixelates, becomes very slow, and multiple other issues. In short this device requires replacement every 8 - 10 months. This results in losing all recorded material. There is another device available in nearby municipality of St Paul Minnesota that I have heard good things about, but that unit is not available for my use. St Paul is less than 6 miles from my house. These issues and more have resulted in my dissatisfaction with Comcast as a cable provider. If I had any reasonable alternative providers I would switch immediately but the market seems behind in my area so I am considering over the air and have already installed an new antenna toward that end. Good by cable, or more specifically, Comcast!

I was on the phone for 2 and 1/2 hours on 07/26 and have been on the phone for almost an hour today and still have no Internet service. The customer service team tried to troubleshoot and said I had to talk to billing because of the rate codes. billing was closed and doesn't open again until 7/28. The tech team said I had to talk to the transfer team and told me they were open Sundays from 7-9. but the number they gave me was for activations. activations said that I had to talk to billing but that billing was open. so I called billing and, you guessed it, they're closed. I am now on a call with tech again to see if someone there can fix their screw up and get my service running so I can work tomorrow. finally, I reached someone that fixed my issue in 15 minutes and one call. why did he do in 15 minutes what the others couldn't do in 3 total hours and seven calls!
Description of Work: I submitted an online request to transfer my phone, Internet and cable service 07/26/14 to my new address effective 08/03/14 and they terminated my Internet service the same day the online request was submitted

Went to get cable box, as a box is necessary now for any channels to work on TV. I appreciate the fast internet service, however, I feel that $150/month for internet and television (that includes no premium channels) is quite expensive. I wish there were other cable providers in the area to offer Comcast competition as their monopoly on cable service gives them no reason to consider lower prices and they just keep going up.

The disappointing thing with Comcast is that the product (Internet) is expensive and mediocre but we only have two choices: cable and internet or phone company phone and internet. There is basically no competition. When I called for help on restoring internet service, after 9 - 13 minutes on hold for the next available service manager, they spent a lot of time asking me how I was, if I was happy with their service, and explaining that they were going to do everything to solve my problem. Then they went into a several minute explanation of how I could get more services and more channels, etc. for only $20 - 30 more per month. They spend several minutes of my time turning my help call into a sales call before they would look at my problem. Finally, they wanted me to take a survey after the call. Service was finally restored after about 45 minutes for the entire call.

We've had Comcast cable and internet service for the past few years and have never been very thrilled with it, but what can you do when there only one provider? Our most recent service call came after we moved and requested a service person to install a new cable outlet. Aside from showing up at the very tail end of the service window time frame (eally how hard is it to set appointments?) the service person seemed like he had no idea what he was at our house to do. Once I explained what we wanted and where the outlet should go, he looked around for a whole then said he didn't have the right tools to do it and we'd have to call and make another appointment. We ended up just drilling a hole in the floor behind our TV stand and feeding the cable to the basement to the existing hook up. Calling them was a total waste of time.
