Closets for Life owner Rick came out to my home and discussed my requirements for a walk-in closet. It was obvious from his 3D drawings that he really listened to my preferences as he designed the space, not to mention he turned around the rendering in less than 2 days. Once the construction of the closet space (dry wall, trim) was complete, Rick came out for a final field measurement. The closet was installed 2 weeks after Rick received the signed agreement, just as he had committed. I quoted two companies for this work, and in my opinion, Rick's design was FAR superior. He really listened, and came up with something that perfectly fits the space - even though the room is not a perfect rectangle. The entire process was easy and timely, and Rick delivered on all of his commitments. Closets for Life definitely exceeded my expectations. Thank you Rick!

We moved to Minnesota in April 1, 2011. The first night our master bedroom closet racks collapsed; two nights later the racks in the guest bedroom fell to the floor with only a few our our coats and out-of-season clothing hanging there. We tried to fix both sets of shelving by adding brackets, but it did not do the job. Frustrated, my husband and I went to the Home Show in Apple Valley -- just to get out of the house. There we met up with Rick who responded immediately. By April 5th we'd had a consultation and estimate and two weeks later our new closets were completed and installed. Rick was very helpful in designing the shelving and rods exactly as I wanted. I had decided to convert our guest room closet into my "art/sewing room" with a couple of rods for guests. What he designed was PERFECT! Over the past two years I have spent a great deal of time in my "closet" with everything I needed organized and stored at my fingertips. Again, I can not express well enough how pleased we were with Rick's responsiveness to our need. From the moment we met at the Home Show until the completion of both closets about two and a half weeks later he maintained contact and even made some modifications for us. He was friendly and professional. While in our home, he was careful not to damage any flooring, walls, etc. and cleaned up everything very well when he was finished. Rick answered the phone when I called and we scheduled a day for him to take a look at two closets. He arrived as scheduled, listened to my wish list, provided design ideas, took measurements and gave me a ballpark estimate before he left. The next day, he emailed design sketches and a firm quote. After we reviewed the sketches and pricing, we agreed to give Rick the project. He quoted 3 weeks for production. Soon after, he contacted me with a timeline for installation. We agreed on a date and he arrived as scheduled. The installation was completed within the time frame he provided. The closet organization systems are of excellent quality and look great.

I sent an email via their website, and I received a call back from Rick in less than 30 minutes. We made an appointment for him to come by the house, and he was on time. I talked to him about what we needed and he made a couple of suggestions about the layout. He then measured the closet and told me that I'd receive plans and a quote within two days. Right on time, I received the email with the plans. They made the best use of every bit of space we have available in the closet. I told him that we wanted to do the work, but we were having a hardwood floor installed first. He worked with me to schedule the installation in conjunction with the floor completion. On the install date, he showed up on time again and completed the work in about 5 hours. After my husband and I returned all our items to the closet, we realized that we needed a belt rack. I emailed Rick and he brought it by and installed it the next day. We are in the process of getting plans for two reach in closets. We couldn't be happier with the results or with Rick himself. I highly recommend this company for custom closets.

Overall, the experience was great. Rick was easy to work with and had great design ideas. Project was completed on time and we were very happy with the end result. Price wise, Rick was very competitive. We have since moved and we will definitely use Closets for Life again once we are ready to redo our closets. P

Rick came to see our closet the same day I called. It's an odd shape - 5 walls. He designed a beautiful functional system that uses the space extremely well. He does a great job installing, everything clean and neat at the end. A great guy to work with. Highly recommended.

I added a walk-in closet in the master bedroom as part of a remodel. I thought of just putting hanging rods in to save some money, but I am so glad I decided to go with a full closet system. I love it and I feel so much more organized. Worth every penny! My walk-in is not huge, but Closets for Life designed the interior in a way that really maximized the space. The closet system itself is very functional and looks great. They use a melamine product (I think that's what it's called) with a faux wood grain veneer (there are several wood grains and tones to choose from) that is very attractive. Not real wood, but looks great and I am sure it keeps the cost lower. My contractor who built my custom cabinetry elsewhere in the house said the product the company used is very good quality. I was also very happy with the installation. My closet has unusual angles, but they made it all work beautifully. As for features, I have a bank of 5 drawers (the top drawer has a removable velvet jewelry storage insert that is really nice); two hanging rods for longer clothes like dresses and pants, 5 double hanging rods for shirts (the two on top have a very cool feature where you can use a built in handle to pull them down to make things easier to reach); cubbies galore for shoes and purses; and plenty of shelving. Other features include two pull-out racks for belts, ties, scarves, etc.; a pull-out rod where you can hang things to dry, steam, or whatever; and a laundry basket with a removable canvas bag with handles to make it easy to cart your laundry to the washer. Overall, a great product for a reasonable cost. The representative I dealt with (who I actually think was the owner) was very prompt, reliable, and pleasant to do business with. I highly recommend Closets for Life!

We are very happy with the finished closet. Rick was very punctual, tidy, professional and efficient.

Everthing went great. I called Rick to come give us an estimate on a couple of closets at our new house that only had a wire rack. Rick was very responsive and we were able to set up an appointment. He arrived on time and took a lot of time discussing our various options. We decided to have him do out guest bedroom closet as the room itself is small and wouldn't really accomodate a dresser. Rick designed a white wood system that included 4 drawers so our guests would have a place to put their folded items as well as several shelves and various height clothes rods. The whole system is very versatile and can change depending on how our needs change. The closet system is custom made and took about 2 weeks before it was ready to be installed. Rick came and installed the system. He took down the wire shelf and patched and painted the holes. The system looks great. Very professional and just what we were looking for. We will have him over in the future to give us an estimate on some garage storage as well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him. His prices were lower then other closet places.

Our new closets have really helped us organize and provide a clean, neat place for all our stuff. We are a recently married couple who just combined two households into one, and having Rick come out to help us get organized was a good decision. We're very happy with the overall process and product and would use Closets for Life again for a garage or basement project should we decide to better organize those spaces as well. Rick is very capable and he installs a quality design and product.

Rick was great, and I love my new closet system. He was quick to come out for a free consultation, made suggestions and took measurements. He then provided an estimate with 3D drawings of the custom-designed system via email the same day. Installation took place about three weeks later, when he removed the existing shelving in the closet, patched the holes in the wall and then installed the new system and cleaned up afterwards.

It went exactly how it should have. No surprizes, he did exactly what he said he would and it turned out perfect.
