Perfect. Bob was prompt, kept us informed, and also recommended we get our chimney liners checked by a pro (wise advice since they were a mess and unsafe). His work looks good.

Robert was responsive and reliable, from my first inquiry to when the job was complete. He explained what needed to be done and laid out the pricing and terms for the project clearly. He worked on our project every day until it was complete. He cleaned up when the work was done. Our chimney looks great!

Robert came out and explained what it would take to do the work. Also suggested alternatives. He followed up with a voicemail. I will all contractors were this responsive and professional!

Our large, 100+ year old house needed extensive restorative work including replacement of over 200 brick to the 4-6 rows above the foundation. Robert responded promptly to my enquiry and his bid was 25% less than the closest competitor. His work was excellent as was the clean-up. He always returned calls promptly and finished his work within the time period agreed upon despite rather foul weather. Working with him was a true please. I look forward to engaging him again in the future.

Robert gave us a fair estimate for the repair. He was also knowledgeable about older homes and historically accurate replacement bricks and limestone, and where to find materials. Considering that we had several estimates that insinuated the need for a complete replacement and were to say the least, expensive, his detailed explanation on what he could do for us was refreshingly honest. He utilized many of the older bricks and most of the limestone footings, but replaced everything that was unusable. The end result was excellent. Robert is very good at what he does. He is friendly, professional and does his work in a timely fashion. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Robert arrived on time, checked foundation below grade to see extent of mortar that was missing, and repaired all joints completely. Very satisfied with work done.

We have a number of crumbling bricks in our fireplace chimney. Called late last year for an estimate to remove the top brick layers, replace and rebuild the chimney. Unfortunately he was booked out too late for us to have the work done before it got too cold last year. Called him late this summer and he agreed to the original estimate amount and we arranged for him to come out in late October when his schedule allowed. Roger arrived as planned, did all work as promised. There was a cracked liner which he needed to replace so that did add a little extra to the cost. Work took a little longer than I expected (three days) but he did a very good job and we are pleased with the results. Overall cost was a little surprising to me, but probably standard for the work done. We did get a second estimate last year, which was in the same price range, however that person looked at the chimney from a parked car in the street then wrote up the estimate! Roger actually climbed onto the roof to inspect and see what actual work was needed.

Robert has consistently provided exceptional service. I first hired him because he was the only one who quickly recognized the unique bricks needed for the repair I requested, and he did such an amazing job with the repair that we did not paint over his work (which makes this the only unpainted brickwork in our home's exterior). I subsequently hired him to repair the exposed areas of our limestone foundation, which had decayed considerably over the decades. Again, he did a great job. After doing this, he suggested some maintenance to my exterior which I would not have even noticed. I waited a year before having him do it, but now realize how much work needed to be done and appreciate his service. I am fairly meticulous and reluctant to endorse somebody, but I would strongly recommend Robert for masonry work. In addition to his exceptional service, he is a really good guy!

Robert did an amazing job. When he came out to do the estimate, he took the time to explain everything very thoroughly and patiently answered all my questions. I had contacted many other masons through Angie's List, but only a couple people were willing to touch this job, and among the those folks who even provided estimates, he was the least expensive by far. He was good at communicating via Angie's List and by phone, keeping me up to date with timing. When he came out to do the job, he was on time and happily helped me with some unusual special requests. He did exactly what he described during the estimate and everything looks perfect. I was very happy with the whole experience and the final results. Thank you, Robert, for everything! (This app isn't letting me add the price - the total cost was about $1,300)

Robert was by far the most responsive and fairly priced mason who bid on our job. I couldn't believe how responsive he was. It was too bad he couldn't fit in our work in our renovation schedule (the work needs to cure 30 days before paint). Otherwise I'm sure I'd be writing a very happy 'completion' review.

The vendor gave me a reasonable estimate with no fuss. We scheduled a few weeks out and he called me on that week to start the work. After resurfacing the steps (the work was high quality), he even came back the next day, saw that some kids in the neighborhood had put footprints on the steps and fixed it. He even noticed that some of the pavers adjacent to the steps were out of alignment, and reset them, at no extra cost! A+++, highly recommended.

Robert was fantastic to work with and did a great job... He's on time, flexible (I had to reschedule), takes pride in his work, explains everything he's planning to do and why, inspected the rest of the brick house and made suggestions that will save me $ in the future, prices seemed good to me (better than another quote I had), cleaned up after he was done. Will definitely call on him in the future and have no reservations in recommending him.

Excellent/professional job.

The foundation next to our driveway at the corner of our garage under the drain pipe collapsed and needed to be filled. We first had a mudjacking company fill the majority of the hole, and Robert came to complete the job. He was able to make time on a Saturday for our project, even though he was backed up until October with other jobs. He did an excellent job of repairing the crack in the block inside the garage by applying a cement coating. Also dug out along the outside of the garage to fill another unseen hole (bubble) under foundation. Applied coating over bricks and blocks. Everything looks professionally done.

Work was done as scheduled, and we were very satisfied with the results.

He submitted a bid in Sept. 2013, then very slow to return calls. Finally got proof of insurance, but it was to expire shortly. Tried several times to contact, but never heard of him again. The sad thing is, he had the job! And we were prepared to hire him for the next 3 years, to complete our enitre townhouse community!

I hired Bob several years ago when I first moved into my house to repair and tuck point the stones around my front steps. Since that work went well and was reasonable, I hired Bob to tuck point my foundation without getting any other bids. I called him early in the day and left a message. He got back to my right away, and he went by my house to assess what needed to be done. He contacted me again and sent a written quote. Once he received the downpayment in the mail from me, he left me a message telling me that he could start the work in about two weeks. He showed up exactly two weeks later and had the work done in a little over a day. He tuck pointed all the gaps in the foundation and also fixed some of the decorative stones that were sagging above my front door and replaced a rotting lintel. The work was done very well and at a reasonable price. Bob also gave me some helpful advice about following up with a different vendor to solve a settling problem around part of my foundation. My experience with Bob the second time was just as good as the first, and I won't hesitate to call him again if I need more stone work done on my house.

The repairman removed all bad material, and constructed a great looking repair. The repair made to the material next to the basement window makes everything look straight and true. I only need to paint it properly after waiting for the curing to insure that any moisture is gone. He also repaired some cracks in cement next to a garage door, again with excellent results. We are happy with the repair, and the reasonable price.
