BRUCE INDUSTRIAL

Got a few bids for this job, and went with Bruce Industrial. Robert, the owner, was able to start the job a week ahead of schedule due to a cancellation. The work was also completed slightly ahead of schedule. The foundation work involved patching and refinishing the exterior surface of one wall of the foundation. It turned out looking like new. On the front steps, Robert removed all of the tread stones, removed and replaced the damaged riser stones, and put everything back together. Looks great and the steps will probably outlast me. All of the work was done outside, so there really wasn't much of a mess. The job was done quickly and Robert is a very pleasant individual. Would recommend him to anyone and gladly hire him again if needed.

I asked Bruce to give me his opinion on the construction and what it would take to fix it. It turned out it was something we could easily do and there was no work required. He did not charge me for the house call and gave me great advice.

It went great. Robert saw immediately what had settled over the winter and fixed it without a problem. He was great about communicating when he would do the work (weather was a problem) and did, as always, a lovely job. Highly recommended!

Robert did an excellent job. He spent a lot of time looking for bricks that would be a close match to what we have because the original bricks are not manufactured anymore. He spent about 3 days to complete the job and our steps look perfect now. One thing I really appreciated is he took the time to clean out all the old mortar completely. He cleaned up thoroughly when he was finished. We are very happy with the work he did and will definitely use him again if we need bricks repaired again.

He was very thorough and detailed. He is also personable.

Robert was great to deal with. He not only supplied the best bid the work was done in a timely manner. I'm very pleased with the result of the project. He started on time and worked long days in the heat and completed the project in one week. He went out of his way to come up with brick that was close to the original as they don't make the original (from the 1950's) anymore. Robert was thorough and delivered the job at budget within the timeframe we agreed to.

It went great! Robert was on time for the initial inspection and estimate. He kept us informed as to the start date which did have to be changed due to all of the rain we were having. His estimate for the two jobs were lower than other estimates we received, but that wasn't the only reason we chose Bruce Industrial. Robert was extremely knowledgeable about masonry and he explained everything to us in detail. Other contractors didn't take the time to talk to us. We knew Robert was someone we could work with and we were right. He and his son came on time and worked hard for four days to complete our projects. Robert went to several brick yards to try to match our brick as closely as possible. He and his son took great care to keep things as cleaned up as possible with all of the mortar dust. Robert was very detailed oriented. Our brick wall looks much better with the new mortar color. We are extremely pleased with the results and highly recommend Bruce Industrial.

All went very well. Robert promptly gave me a quote when I called. As soon as weather permitted, he came out and did the work all himself as his team was VERY busy. Work was done promptly and courteously. Robert even made things look good by matching up the color of the mortar in places where the mortar may have been OK, but of a different color. He gave me a reasonable quote on the rest of the brickwork that is needed at my house. I did not currently have funds to do all the house. Robert let me break the job into very doable pieces. When concrete work that was done a couple of weeks later left a couple of bricks missing/damaged, Robert came out and fixed that up quickly for me, too.

He arrived as scheduled to bid the project. Very shortly after his review of the proposed project we received a detailed bid. After agreeing on a price, he arrived as scheduled for the job. He stayed with the job until completion, cleaned up his work location and most importantly did an excellent job on the repair work required. My only regret was that I didn't take before pictures so I could "show off" the before and after work to friends and neighbors. We had received one other bid for the work, and his was lower, but his work was certainly not of a lower quality.

They were fine. The experience with them was very good. They went fast and according to the contract. It was also a beautiful appearing job. Their domineer was very nice as they were very co-operative and the labors were performed excellent.

Bruce's bid was a bit lower than the first one we got so we went with him. Him and his son were very professional and courteous and arrived on time. I was a bit of a challenge for him to get the right bricks but he did and the job looks great. No complaints.

Provided quality work at a very reasonable price. Some other companies wanted to replace the whole chimney which will be thousands more. Robert was able to repair just the damaged part, which saved me a lot. Now one year and a half later both the chimney and the brick siding hold up well. Highly recommended.

Bruce Industrial's punctuality and timeliness in returning a quote was dreadful. Quite a while went by and we finally got the quote. I waited too long for it and it gave me a bad sense that I would wait too long for the work too. We didn't get the work done that year but when I called again to get the work done, they couldn't find a record of the quote and the whole experience was so disorganized that I just said never mind. He said he would come out and he hadn't come out so I went with a competitor.

Prompt service and returned to re-do one or two area's with no hassle.

We got estimates from 4 different companies for our project. Bruce Industrial gave us the best price. Robert also spent the most time looking at our problem and took the time to explain what the problem was and the actions he was going to take. We felt the most comfortable going w/ these guys.

Experience was very positive. Moved us up in the timeline when availability opened. Arrived at good hours each day. Very polite. When additional services were found to be needed, he explained all that was needed and adjusted his plan by getting the supplies timely and completing the work with our extending the time line that was quoted. Stuck to the costs that were quoted, and explained what the overage cost would be for the additional repairs needed. Since we have had this work done we have had other professionals (roofer, pest, and chimney cleaner) remark how well done the work was. The price was very fair and the process very painless for a new homeowner. I would recommend his work to anyone needing repair and quotes.

Robert communicated well, went to at least 6 brickyards to find the matching brick, took great care to ensure he knew what it was we were looking for. We were very satisfied.

This is the second time we've hired Bruce Industrial for masonry repair. We've had no problems with the finished results. The quality of work was excellent and the price was very reasonable. Robert takes care not to disturb any surroundings (e.g., gardens) and he cleans up thoroughly. Very satisfied with the experience. Whenever we have a masonry job, we're sure to rely on Bruce Industrial in the future.

Everything went well and the steps look great!

This is the second time we've used Bruce Industrial and worked specifically with Rob. He did a terrific job last year doing tuckpointing to shore up mortar on the brick facing of our house. This year he installed a fieldstone retaining wall with a limestone cap. He showed up exactly when he said he would, the work looks fantastic and we could not be more pleased. This wall is not going anywhere -- it really is built to last and it looks pretty. What I especially appreciate is that Rob does a great job of explaining what the process is and what the options are -- I always learn something. This job was right between our house and our neighbor's so I really appreciated how thoughtful he was about working with the neighbor and keeping the job site neat as a pin. Great work, great experience. We would absolutely use Bruce Industrial again.

It went very well. We ended getting priced at even better than his best-case scenario, and though he thought it'd take a month before he could fix it, I found him a week later fixing the bricks because he had extra time in his schedule. He even went searching several places trying to find the best match for my brick.

He was very kind and explained everything. He wasn't the cheapest but he pointed out things others didn't. When we pointed out something that he had missed, he came back and fixed it immediately.

Robert from Bruce Industrial did a fantastic job -- it's clear he knows what he's doing and is very paricular about the work. The project turned out to be dustier than I'd expected because he needed to drill out old mortar. After he was done he did an excellent job of cleaning up so that the dust was hosed down and everything returned to the way it was..only better. We're going to use him again. We got Bruce Industrial off of Angie's list in the first place.

It took a little while to get him scheduled but that is a good thing in some ways because it shows they are busy. He came and did the job for the amount quoted with no nonsense. The guy that came was nice and friendly even working outside in the hot July sun. No complaints. Good job.

Robert did a wonderful job. I was so worried the steps would have to be replaced because they were in such bad shape. They look brand new at a fraction of the cost . I couldn't be happier with the job that was done and would recommend this company to anyone and everyone !
