Description of Work: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They explained work that needed to be done and completely work in a timely manner. They have a nice waiting area that includes an area where you can purchase food/beverage items. I have used the South Mpls Bobby & Steve's several times, and now have all my oil changes done here, instead of going to the car dealership.

 + -1 moreTook my car in because I heard knocking and clunking noises - especially when going over bumps. These were issues with the trailing arm and bushings. While working on the car they let me know one of the bushings was fused on. Since it was fused on, the bushing as well as a whole new part it was fused to would be needed, and the cost would be $300 for parts plus around $300 labor. I could tell he was frustrated that it wouldn't come off, and I believe he was putting in the same effort on my car as he would if it were his own -- trying hard to spare the $600 cost for a stupid little bushing. I really appreciated that extra effort. I went with his recommendation to leave that one as-is. They fixed all the rest and did a road test before calling me to say my car was ready. This is the third place I've taken my car in for the same issue. It's been at least a month now, and I haven't noticed the issue coming back. There's still a small knocking noise from that one fused bushing (as he said there would be), but overall it's very much improved. I get the sense the mechanics take pride in their work and want to be fair. I would definitely go to this shop if I have car problems in the future.
Description of Work: Fixed knocking noise in front and back, and clunking noise in back: Front Axle, Trailing Arm and Bushings.

Description of Work: Needed a truck tire replaced. They did not have the tools to change the tire on a business truck. We bought a tire to bring to another repair shop to replace it. They called back the next week to say they bought the tool to work on the tires of our business trucks. We will most likely go there when we have flat tires in the future

Description of Work: My wife and I use Amoco Station for regular car maintenance. My wife last took her car there for a tune-up. They had also replaced the wiper blades of her car.
