Description of Work: They were great. I had the front yard re-graded, sodded and a small paver patio installed. The side of the house re-graded and re-rocked. The back yard was re-leveled from years of erosion and squirrel attacks, sodded, some small plants and a large paver patio installed. The crew was amazing and Manny's plan was wonderful. Neighbors are ohhing and ahhing, as am I. It's the best money I've ever spent.

Description of Work: Called to schedule an estimate. The receptionist took down my information and said someone would call me. Never heard back from them.

Description of Work: When the gentleman came to give me an estimate, he didn't give me a chance to tell him what I needed. He just started going on and on with these big plans for my backyard to the tune of $15,000 - $20,000. When I told him that all I needed was to replace one of my retaining walls, he proceeded to give me an estimate of $14,500, which was over twice the price of three other estimates I received for the same area. In my mind, the job was too small for his company, so rather than telling this to me, he gave me an outrageous bid knowing that I would go with someone else. I would have appreciated a bit of honesty and some consideration for my needs rather than what he thought would be a great plan for my backyard. | | | | | |

Description of Work: I contacted this company to get a bid on three field stone retaining walls. The owner was very upfront and honest with me stating that he does not so larger wall projects and referred me to a company he utilizes in larger bids. When there is an opportunity to hire Bluhm Brothers in the future I will definitely do just that. Honesty is key to a successful business and these guys are very honest from my experience. They could have took the bid and just uncharged me, but they didn't.

Description of Work: The Angieslist coupon was for the Company to come out, tour the property, give suggestions for landscaping. The gentleman who came to the property had some good ideas, but I just do not have the funds to do the yard yet.

Description of Work: We've have utilized this company a couple of times in the past, most recently June 3, 2010. John and his crew arrived and laid sod on the perimeters of our back yard, along the side of the house, and put edging and a bed of rocks along the garage side of the house. They arrived on time, were fast, efficient, and kept us informed every step of the way as to what they were doing. They go above and beyond what is expected, and will do extra little things needed to assure the project exceeds expectations. The sod is of high quality, and it is now almost October and it is doing beautifully. We would highly recommend this company to anyone desiring quality work and service as they are excellent at what they do and are fun to work with.

Description of Work: One of 3 proposals to regrade and sod our front yard. All the estimates came in significantly more than what we had budgeted for the project. Our uneducated guess which is what we budgeted for the work was around $2,000 but the lowest bid was $3,000 and that didn't include new plantings. Lucy Gehan came out and completed the bid on the project. Very professional. Punctual. Provided the written proposal within 24 hours. We have lots to do on our "fixer upper" and I will call them on our next landscaping project.
